    Hello
in my Toshiba Satellite R20 (Tablet) recorder DVD (Pioneer) was accidentally flashed with the incorrect firmware by the previous user (I work in the company and this tablet came to me already used one).
Now when power on/off, ERROR of CD-ROM appears for a while, then window starts normally on HARD drive. In Windows, I do not see the optical drive - first I have to suspend the system, and then, after waking up, the DVD drive is recognized and installed but only works in PIO mode. I have seen that the displayed model number is incorrect (DVR - K16 and should be DVR-K16TBR because it is desrcibed the disk).
Is it possible to get the firmware original and reflash the drive by myself?

    Hello

Drive, you can reflash t by yourself, this can only an ASP (authorized service provider), but I don't know, if this possible of m.

The best way is to contact an ASP and ask them. Here you can find one:

In the worst cases, the disc must be replaced.

  • Battery Lenovo Z510 problem

Greetings! I have a Lenovo Z510 8 GB Ram, Core i7, 1 TB hdd, I bought less than a year ago. Off late I've known major battery issues. He started with the laptop stopping randomly without warning, even if there is a life on the left, for example. PCT of 90 or more. This worsened when the laptop did not start at all, until I plugged in the charger. The only way I can now exploit the laptop is connecting to the charger, but again, the battery remains at 0 of the pct, does not load. The battery light continues to flash red, also, I used a BatteryInfoView application to analyze it, and it still says battery reached 83 percent of its original capacity, however, I get a message every time at startup saying the battery is low and needs to be replaced. What can I do about it? Thank you.

  • Battery - Lenovo Z510

Hi friends, I have a strange problem. More than a year ago, I bought a Lenovo Z510 which worked well. Unfortunately, just after a year of purchase, the battery started to pose a problem. I talked to the person interested in India who quickly rejected my plea for a new battery. As a result the battery was no charge and rest to 0% power. The service staff tested and concluded that the battery was low and in need of replacement. For all reasons, I haven't bought the new battery. Recently, I was to format my laptop for other reasons, and over time, he began to support up to 100% and has worked for about an hour that was actually fun. But my concern is that the event as to why and how it happens. My other question is that how long it would go. Was it due to formatting and updates! Please throw some light and reason it please. • Center of Lenovo, the candidate of bloatware removal solutions

Is the center of Lenovo solutions a candidate for removal of bloatware?

Add on the question: which App Lenovo could have reinstalled SHAREit after I uninstalled?

Lenovo Solution Center is not necessary for your system to operate normally.  You can decide to remove it, or not.  Totally to you.

There was a period of 2 to 3 days towards the end of the month of October where Lenovo System Update would be installing a new version of SHAREit even if it was previously uninstalled.  This problem should not happen again.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

  • Elegant keyboard / mouse combo - Link-5 question

I recently bought a HP combo elegant key/mouse wireless.

However, I prefer a mouse with extra side so buttons and more, I bought a HP X 6000 Wireless Mouse that comes with the receiver dongle USB Link-5.

I was hoping to only use a USB receiver to connect both elegant wireless keyboard (P/n: 672648-002) and mouse wireless X 6000, but it did not work.  I don't know if the keyboard is compatible with Link-5 or the receiver combo-compatible mouse.

Is it possible to use one of these dongles for two devices?

    Thank you

    Julz77, welcome to the forum.

It is my understanding that technology receiver dongle USB Link-5 requires the firmware on the side of the device and the USB receiver.  It is supposed to work with only a family of devices.  I doubt that the mouse X 6000 has the necessary firmware.

    You must do two things:

    (1) turn off the Windows Update Service

    (2) change the settings so that Windows Update will not update drivers

As for the first, here are some ideas: https://mspoweruser.com/turn-off-windows-update-windows-10/

As for the second, here are some ideas: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/48277-driver-updates-windows-update-enable-disable-windows-10-a.html

I have disabled in my Win10 PC, driver updates as I don't want MS messing around with drivers of my work.

  • Z510 - fake battery percentage

I bought Lenovo Ideapd Z510 about 1.5 years. Installed 10 Windows via Windows update 3 months ago. My laptop was working fine until now. 1 week ago I just changed a document and suddenly portable got off without any notification. He did not stop rather he turns off unexpectedly. Shown before setting power off battery percentage was 70%. I tried to turn it on but also used the recovery key, but nothing helped. I plugged in the charger and the charge indicator noticed was RED, which means the battery is low. I turned on the laptop and now the battery percentage shown was 0. Self decided to execute gauge reset it using Lenovo Energy Manager, which in turn will calibrate the battery.

After two days I though that he's fine now. But I have PES on my laptop for 2 hours and the specified battery life was still 94%. I got that wrong info is displayed. I generated enery powercfg-energy command prompt report. Once I opened the report that I was surprised to see tha last full Charge value is greater than the design capacity, which is quite bizarre. Now, it takes two or three hours to charge completely from 99% to 100%. And even after lsitening to music, surf the Web and edit several documents at the same time battery percentage shown never becomes less than 94% and thatbtoo it takes 2 hours to go from 100% to 96 or 94%.

Please help me. I want to know what it related equipment and in particular the battery or with the operating system? Note that I did not install any new application or a program in the past 5 months. Thanks in advance.
