Lenovo battery "Plugged in, no charging current"

Issue of title: original battery

I plug a laptop lenovo with windows 07 installed two months ago and already I have a problem with the battery. Icon constantly shows the battery is ' plugged not charging. I brought the laptop to the shop and there doesn't seem to be a problem with the battery and charger either. Does anyone know what this may be due?

This is not necessarily a technical foul.

Edit - this link seems to resolve the issue http://forums.Lenovo.com/T5/IdeaPad-Y-and-U-series-laptops/Z560-battery-80-available-plugged-in-not-charging-energy/Ta-p/309028

Check the manual of your PC, the Lenovo support site, Lenovo files in the menu start all programs & BIOS for a battery utility.  Several PCs have utilities with names like "Battery life extension" which will load only the battery when its load is below a threshold such as 80%.

If you search this forum for is not charging battery, you'll see several examples.  Look at the search results for those on Lenovo PCs to help a solution more quickly.

    I meant I was just having the same problem not load and had tried all suggested. But only five minutes ago, I went to my laptop factory site (gateway) to seek help, well I found it! Under support of battery problems, I followed the troubleshooting list and #2 a;

" Remove or replace any surge protectors. " Remove the surge protectors between the system and outlet. Unplug them only in order to solve this problem. Connect the system directly to a wall socket that is well known. A lamp or a hair dryer can be plugged into the wall outlet to check that it works.
Over time, the surge protectors can develop bad connections and present a potential of incompatible power between the wall outlet and the system. Some surge protectors have fuses that have to be reset in the case of an increase in energy consumption. This might indicate there are too many devices and the surge protector with power to the surge protector limit exceeded. If the surge protector is equipped with a fuse and reset it solves the problem, remove some of the connected devices and the surge protector. Make sure that the wall outlet is not connected to a wall switch which can be turned off inadvertently.
Important: Once the problem has been resolved; If it turns out to be the cause of the problem or if something turns out to be the problem, replace the surge protector, plug it back. Always use a quality in State surge protector new or very good between the system and the wall outlet. No not the Garland or connect a surge protector to another. "

  • battery plugged in (not charging)

Problem started when the laptop was about 20 months, then current intermittently for about 3-4 months.  Battery plugged (not load) and while in this State (with connected AC), it runs quite fast.  New battery and battery... same problem.  In addition, during the time (no), if I remove the battery the laptop stops immediately, even if the AC is plugged.  I have read at least 200 questions like this and no one has an answer for that.  I don't think it matters what kind of laptop is much has made and models are experiencing the same thing. I have Toshiba Satellite A135-S4407.  Short grand for 2 years now.  Windows Vista Home Edition. Looking for a real answer.  Toshiba has not one not Microsoft.com. none that I could find.

    darloma,
Related material means that the problem is not, or cannot, be caused by the software.  Material are the physical components that makeup a computer system - case, motherboard, hard drive, screen, battery, etc., and the software is the operating system and the programs that run ON this hardware.  Sometimes it is difficult to determine if a problem is caused by the lack of equipment to operate according to the manufacturer's specifications or if the software is originally a problem because it creates a situation that makes the defective material.  But in the case of power - and more specifically a battery - it works or not.  If a battery is not that it is either a defective battery or a faulty charger.  There is not any software involved.  Software can cause a computer that is not closed properly, or wake from sleep correctly, but the software cannot do a battery hold a charge or not to hold a charge.  So Anthony said.  This problem cannot be caused by the operating system, so you should contact your hardware manufacturer.

  • Microsoft Composite battery "trendy but no charging current.

    Original title: Microsoft Composite battery

I use an Acer Aspire 5732z laptop. My Microsoft Composite battery driver disappeared and my battery is now charging. It says "connected but no charging current. How can I reinstall the driver?

    Thanks in advance :)
    Nominal capacity: 47520

    Hello

These figures show that the battery is always 100%.

If you still see the sector, message on the battery meter does not charge, perform the following steps.

The situation you describe can usually be fixed by doing a Cycle of power on the laptop.

    Perform the following steps.

    1. shut down the computer.

2 unplug everything from the computer. This includes the AC adapter / CC, Modems and routers and external devices, such as printers, disks, USB devices, etc. Nothing should be left plugged into the computer.

    3. remove the battery.

4 wait 30 seconds. Press and hold the power button on the laptop for 15 seconds. This evacuates any excess electric energy out of the laptop.

5 reconnect everything on the computer, including the power adapter and the battery.

Start the computer and check the results to see if the problem is resolved.

  • Tecra R850, battery "plugged in, not charging".

    Hello
I'd appreciate some thoughts on the problem.

    The problem:
The battery is not charged. The icon in the status bar indicates that the battery is "connected" but that it is 'not charging' and 'remember to change your battery.
    Something similar to:
    https://BD23.HTTPS.CDN.SoftLayer.NET/80BD23/142.4.51.106/images/consider-replacing-your-battery.PNG
In addition, the battery charge indicator is off

    What happened:
I was using the computer on battery power. During use, the message appeared that the battery is critical 3% and computer suddenly stop (or went to sleep/hibernate). It is possible that the battery was empty, since I was not charged for 2 days. Which was weird, is that I do not have the message that the battery is at 7%, which is normal warning that I get.
The next day, I plugged the computer power cord started. At the start, computer called I want to boot into 'Safe Mode' or 'Normal '. I selected 'Normal '.
Then I noticed the problem described above.

    History:
Nothing in particular. Notebook is less than 2 years old. Battery was at six, now has dropped to about 4 hours, but had no previous problems. No power surge, does not drop the computer, etc...

    Comments:
-L' computer works without battery, only on the power cable.
-L' computer does not react if I put only the battery, without the cable, even if it is said that the battery has 9 percent. (he says there are 3% before the initial stop, however)
-When I plug in the power cable, the battery charge indicator is on for 2-3 seconds (in orange) and then is off. This happens whenever I take the cable out, then in.
-What is strange, is that every time when I disable networks wireless/mobile using "Flash Cards" and restart the computer, they are 'on '. Previously, this situation will only occur when the computer crashed, or I made him stop (holding the power button)
-J' tried what was suggested on the forums of Toshiba:

    * 1
§Remove cable power, battery, clean contacts, put everything back in place
§Leave to load a few hours
-> Indicator battery charge was not on a few hours after the

    * 2
    §Remove battery, start the computer
    §Go to the "Device Manager".
§Uninstall method to control compatible ACPI Microsoft battery
    Computer §restart
    § ACPI Microsoft settle again
    Computer §shutdown
    §Put battery, start the computer
-> No change, still do not charge, indicator is not lit

    * 3
Also have interpreted 'Factory reset '.
§Apres recovery and restart, there is no change
§Cela time, when I turn off the networks wireless/mobile using 'Flash Cards', they remain "off" even when I reboot a computer, which was not the case prior to 'Factory reset '.
§However, if I take the feeder and then place it in (while the computer is turned off) and then start the computer, wireless/mobile networks are once again 'on '.

    Any thoughts?

    Thank you

On the picture, information is displayed: consider replacing your battery. This means that the battery is defective somehow.

I guess you need the battery help, another tested good original.

I had this problem on my computer dell laptop, where the charger does not charge the battery.

    Thanks in advance.

    > Like the last time each charger kept on breaking and breaking. Also, if it's the only way, could someone link me to a page where I can find a charger?
Why do you think that this problem is related to the charger? How much time you want to change the Chargers?
I can't say for sure, but I guess that there must be a problem with the power supply e placed on the motherboard.
In my opinion this should be verified by Toshiba service provider.

    Warranty is still valid?

  • Windows 7 "Plugged in, no charging current"

    Really strange.

See, I have looked everywhere in this forum, but none of the suggestions helped.

    So here's some info:

My laptop is 3 years old, so my battery.

Now, reading battery would be a LOT of 45% to 10%

Maybe it's my battery, but I don't know because I can not calibrate. Why? Cause I can't load after that I have drain. (I have not yet calibrated)

I had the tool NirSoft and wear of the battery (Please note No calibration) amounts to about 68%.

New battery, hardware problem or OS problem?

Because this light which means that it is plugged is lit.

    Hello

    Thanks for the reply.

At this point in time, it would be best to contact the manufacturer of the laptop computer for more support because it is an unwanted material.

Hope this helps, please get back to us for additional help on Windows. We will be happy to help you.

  • I have a Lenovo IdeaPad P500 running Windows 8, and my battery is 0% charged. When I plug it in, it says "plugged and not charging."

Help, please! When I use my computer, it must be connected as the battery stays on 0% fees. When I plug it, I pass my mouse over the icon in the taskbar that shows me the battery power, it is said "plugged and no charging current" and displays a battery that has 0% fees. When I unplug the computer, it turns off INSTANTLY, and I need to plug in again to use it. Before that, I lived lack of extreme battery life, and it would last from 5 minutes to 30 seconds. I ordered a new battery, but it does not come for a few days, and I want to be able to bring my laptop with me.

I have a same problem too. My battery shows 18% charged all the time. Even when it is plugged.

And as soon as I take the plug it shuts. My battery info shows like that.
    Battery information: battery

    Chemistry Li - I
    In the long term 1
    Seal 0
    Rated capacity 48240
    Full last Charge 49600

What should I do? My laptop is only 2 months old. I have not even used for more than 6 hours total.

    Hi mukeshbhakta

There is something wrong with the circuit load or battery.

The full last Charge can be superior to the nominal capacity?

I would recommend that you check with Lenovo to find how to troubleshoot the charging circuit.

  • L540 Windows 10. Plugged in, not charging, then the pc stops. Cannot start.

    Brand new L540.
Windows 10 fresh install, not improved versions of other windows.

The Lenovo system update is installed and installed all the drivers (Intel Wireless Lan driver).

When the charger is plugged in, the screen blinks several times, it says plugged in, no charging current. Then the laptop stops. When you try to start windows again, the laptop stops immediately after the windows 10.

Unplug the charger and the laptop starts and works very well.
The battery can recharge very well when the laptop is turned off.
If the battery is 100% laptop works very well with the charger connected.

Basically, the laptop works fine, except when you try to charge the battery then in windows 10. This causes a stop.

I tried the solutions previously suggested to stop and remove the battery, nothing works.

Motherboard replaced by service of Lenovo.

    Hello

I m not very well what's wrong with your laptop
You are able to use the laptop without battery plugged in but plugged in?
If the adapter is ok, you should be able to use the laptop connected to the mains only

Let's assume that the adapter is ok in this case either battery or electronic power supply which is part of the motherboard is likely wrong function
It s hard to tell if your battery is defective, what needs to be tested but I think that it is not worth buying a new battery just for test purposes so I would ask a technician to check it out before you buy a new game.

    PS: it's your BIOS up-to-date?
