  Hello all, new to the Forum and you are looking for help with my Ideapad S10

  I can't say for how long, but lately Ive noticed that Lenovo Windows that display notifications of changes do not come to the top.

  I press Fn + F5 to wireless, to toggle the WiFi or newly added settings BT, but no window, no more than the wireless status change (stays on) - I can only toggle the setting by pressing the physical WiFi key at the top of the keyboard.

  It goes the same for volume settings and the settings of brightness of screen using Fn + arrow keys, although the values change.

  Normally, I wouldn't care on this issue, but I do not know the hard - key for WiFi wil I would turn the BT settings, once I installed the card.

  I have not changed anything (that I know of) other than the windows of bubbles notifications in the start bar (via RegEdit) and I doubt that this would have an effect on a program of Lenovo.

  I went through MsConfig as well, ensuring that all programs begin at the beginning, but no change it no more.

  I saw there is a difficulty to other buffers of Lenovo hotkey, but I'm not sure it will solve the problem or just add.

• Keyboard not working on Lenovo Windows laptop and stuck on the login screen

  I have a Lenovo WIndows 8 20157 laptop, the keyboard no longer works someday so I restored it.  At that time, I could use an external keyboard.  When the system rebooted, it got to the login screen and will not work.  The screen keyboard and the external keyboard does not work.  The only thing that happens when I use a keyboard (external to the screen, laptop), is that if I hit the button S power options developed.  I can not connect and I can't run it in safe mode.  Already, I have removed the battery and held down the power button, which has not changed anything.

  I took it for someone who told me to restore to factory settings and there are drop down menu in the corner of the login screen, but sometimes the mouse works and sometimes it isn't.  For example at the moment I can't open easy access menu to open the keyboard screen, but sometimes I can't.  Any ideas?

  You upgrade form win7 for another "version" of windows 7. Thus, all programs will suffer anyway. More during the upgrade, the installer would say the compatibility of all programs.

  I BOUGHT THIS computer PORTABLE OF BEST BUY in January 2012 I BEGAN to HAVE the PROBLEMS WITH HIM.  Finally after blocking up to 5 or 6 times during the first months of couple finally just locked up and no matter how many times I rebooted, tap, it took off the battery voltage I couldn't get windows to load.upon goes to best buy, of course, they informed me, I had 19 different virus, spyware, malware or adware on my pc.since I had not loaded programs and software here and I do not open unsoliciated e-mail and I had PC for 15 years and never had a problem, I was very skeptical. I told them no, I didn't spend $200.00 for them to fix and remove the problem that was to have my old pc of 3 months. I went back picked it up and they said well we have windows to start up, but does not remove the virus, well after returning home and running analysis trend micro system with microsoft security essentials and CC Cleaner full nothing was found on my system. I only got lock up once on me over the last 4 weeks Ive got back, but when I went on the best shopping site I noticed that most of the people who gave user reviews and booought this portable paticular all have something in common pc freezes when windows start right at the point where the screen is about to go to windows and he said wait a moment before it switches on your office. Please if anyone knows why or what's going on with this portable paticular or can give some help or suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated. Ive owned offices for 15 years and never had a problem this is my first laptop and I just spent 600 for it and want it to run properly. 12/11/15 IS A LENOVO V570 MAKING DAT IS IT im assuming that it is December 15, 2011

  Do you have the drivers updated through windows update? If so bad move, all drivers must come from Lenovo.

  The EA is provided not only through the optimization of the driver, but also a lot of customization of how the drivers are loaded, control, synchronisation etc.   If you install Windows 7 upgrade on an existing qualification system and to update the drivers, you should have pretty good performance, but it is not the same as an image of Lenovo sold after 10/22.

  I hope that members of the community share their tips to setting.   I remember a lot of discussion on Notebook review and gottabemobile tuning in the past around optimizing XP and Vista, and I hope that we will see the same with Win7 as some of the more technical enthusiasts argue reference bragging rights.

  I say that with all the admiration for their competence, ability and time invested.

  From time to time comes Ghost by clicking on the the right side of my screen and when that happens, I want to close my laptop and then Open again and the ghost by clicking on will disappear but recently it didn't, so I decided to disable the touch screen , until I know what to do to fix.   IMO it's hardware, but it also suggests a flaw in the software.  For example the calibration tool is supposed to we can help software take aware of this type of material defects and fit for them or not?

  In addition, instead of disable full touch, simply disable the multi touch driver.  Then you can have at least pen support to use it.

  Hi guys I'm new to this community. I have a w520 when I bought it I did not know there was no windows 10 Lenovo for her driver. Well I said this than ever and installed he went smoth but problems started when windows 10 pushed the updates here are the issues I face.

  guys thank you for replays many of the problems are solved thanks harisb definition app store works fine and have all the options and for gpu problem I went to nvidia chat they told me to uninstall the driver and install it again it has solved the problem. I installed the audio driver of lenovo for windows 10 it was a former pilot, but it works very well and only one thing remaining is there no hybernation option in power options.

  For clean installation try to download Microsoft Media creation tool first. Using the tool, you can download a copy of the Win 8.1 installer. Save 8.1 only and not the PRO. During installation, the installation program does not the product key but it detect automatically your bios.

  You will need to place the ssd instead of the original location of the hard drive to boot successfully.

  After having upgraded to Windows 8.1 X 1 carbon, I noticed in the settings app Lenovo power settings include is no longer the option of extended battery life (50% instead of 100% load). I read on this forum that longer life of the battery may be obtained, particularly when using the computer laptop while that connected to the a/c adapter by storing about half of its power. So why the option of longer battery life is missing from the application of the parameters of Lenovo?

• Lenovo Windows XP versus Mode XP mode?

  I'm implementing a new W520 ordered with option "Windows XP Mode". Appropriate menu file has entries for "Lenovo XP Mode" as expected "Windows XP Mode".

  What is the difference, if any?

  I hesitate to do what is obvious and try both, since the "first boot" process is not reversible and may (or not) have advantages in the initialization of one of them on the other.

  A ' net search for "Lenovo XP Mode" was a dead-end.

  OK - problem solved and I'm a model. The "Windows XP Mode" shortcut goes to the VM expected. The "Lenovo XP Mode" shortcut is a... Manual PDF!  : sigh: too literal for my own good, but maybe he'll answer the question for someone else on the line.
