License MCU

Hi all

I have 1 X LIC-5300-4PL license then how participating can be at a conference in this license.

Session of the Conference OR how can I create with this license.

I know that this license will give me 1 HD Full HD 2 and 4 SD, so I select 2 HD so how UNCTAD can be create on MCU and how participants could be in a conference.

BR

Depends on the quality of port of media that you set Full HD, HD, SD, etc.  You already know how much each of them to license will give you as you say in your orginal (1 HD Full HD 2 and 4 SD) post.  So, decide on the quality you want and multiply by however many the LIC-5300-4PL licenses you have.  Example, Qty 4 of LIC-5300-4PL the HD mode you will get 8-port HD or in which they participate, and each participant will seize a media port.

  • Why the MCU is automatically added to the conferences in TMS?

    Info:

    Endpoints: Tandberg 6000 MXP & 95 MXP

    TMS: 13.2.2

Codian MCU 4510: Software version 4.4

    Tandberg GK: N6.3

    Tandberg BC: Q6.3

When I create a conference at TMS and want an end point to compose our system to an MCU on another site (confined), the our local MCU is automatically added to the Conference, for some reason any.  For example, if I create a conference with room 123 and number 'Dial Out' external 2222222, TMS adds MCU of our system and forces to compose both room 123 and 2222222, which is totally useless.  This should be simply, what is the endpoint is, a direct line to 2222222.  Why the MCU is being added?  This will use licenses MCU in haste when it is not necessary at all.

I went through TMS > administration tools > Configuration > General settings, network settings and conference settings and cannot understand why the MCU is added.  If we dial manually, no problem.  My goal is to automate the entire composition, however.

Pointers?  I put some of the parameters of the TMS > Admin Tools > Configuration > Conference settings below.

    Hello

Reduce the bandwidth of conference help? TMS could add a MCU if it detects that one or more participants do not support the bandwidth conference.

  • Questions about VCS, MCU, ISDN gateway license

    Dear Expert.

I question of license on my next device.

    (1) I have:

VCSC - 10 calls Non-traversal, crossing 100 calls license license

    vcse - 5 traversal calls

If I register the mcu and the endpoint to the VCSC as the guardian h323.

I should have a 15 (5 calls traveral and 10 calls non-traversal) sites h323 conference call simultaneously on the MCU?

    > If I record my MCUS and endpoints to the ISDN gateway as the guardian h323.

    > I should be able to do an 18 sites (1 h323 calls and ISDN 17 * 128 Kbps) conference at the same time call

    > on the MCU?

GK embarked on telepresence ISDN Gateway has no limitation for the number of concurrent calls.

Limitation is only for the registration number.

As gateway ISDN support audio connection gateway exclusively, with simultaneous simple T1 (T1 = 24 b, PRI = 23 b = D), maximum number of calls is superior to '18' as audio call consume only 1 b-channel.

  • Question MCU

Hi guys, I need your help, I made a big mistake, I reset of MCU and after the reboot of the MCU, I lost the product key or feature

I need to know how can I get a new

    I don't have a contract with Cisco

I bought the MCU on Ebay!

I've corrected the link in my previous answer, for some reason when it copied, left part of the URL.

I have not a way to take a screenshot at the moment, but when you go to this site, look for the option "Obtain other licenses" and in this drop-down list, you must select "License TelePresence to return", then enter the serial number of your MCU.

  • Licenses of telepresence

    Hi all

Hope this does not sound very stupid. What is the difference between the following license two of the Cisco telepresence room:

    (1) LIC-MX200-MS - MX200 G2 MultiSite Option

    (2) LIC-TP-SMP-EP - shared multi-party Lic for 1 session simultaneous Inc. 2 RMS license.

    Thanks in advance,

The Multisite option key is so you can use the feature embedded four-way Conference the MX200 G2, where you can connect up to three other participants without needing a dedicated as a server MCU/telepresence conference bridge.  You can learn more about the multisite functionality in the MX200 G2 data sheet.

Multiparty license shared for those who have the conductor and a telepresence server, licensed SMP can host a single conference with several participants up to the capacity of the telepresence server.  See the multiparty license - a-ice for more information.

  • MCU vs VCS

    Hello

IM pretty new to the Conference and I got confused on the following scenario:

I need to be a conference for 13 calls from the neighborhood of 13 other branches in full HD, now I need to deploy 5 monitors in the neighborhood and 2 monitors in each site.

    1. If I could see 5 full HD calls selected 4 branches as maximum, and a thumbnail view of active presence for the rest 10 called "like a small miniature screen" in the fifth form.

    2. I can view max for 2 full HD in each branch, which is the main player with someone else.

In my opinion for equipment would be as follows:

1 x C90 in the main office of DD, PR

13 x SX20 in every branch with DD, PR

    1xVCS in the main office

    1 x 5320 MCU

Whatever it takes? IM pretty confused now.

    Kind regards

The server all telepresence is to merge the calls in a conference - it is essentially a different type of MCU :)

Also note that while the C90 is able to 12Mbps full HD, it is when the C90 himself welcomes the call via its multisite functionality.  It can accommodate 3 or 4 calls at the same time in a conference, but you use not or need this feature if you have a MCU or TP server.

If I were you, my construction should look like this:

13 x MX200/MX300 (according to what screen size you wanted - it's the only real difference between the two)

    1 x Control VCS + 15 licenses non-traversal call

    1 telepresence Server 7010 + 12 x screen licenses

1 x SX80 + whatever screens/monitors you wanted, even if a MX700 may be a better choice (55 "double screens with built in codec)

1 x conductor of telepresence (free version).

Note that in this scenario, two of your endpoints to compose in 720 p, because 1 x display License = 1 call full HD or 2 x 720 p calls and the 7010 can only accommodate a maximum of 12 licenses of the screen.  The next top model can accommodate 48 but is much more expensive.

So, you would use driver + TP server to host all of your conferences, all of your points endpoint to register for VCS and deal in the Conference.

  • Tandberg MCU 5300 series supports the Conference me the feature?

    Hi all

I would like to know that the 5300 Tandberg MCU series supports the Conference me the feature?

We checked the 5320 MCU data sheet,

    Cisco TelePresence MCU 5320 CTI-5320-MCU-K9

Comes with: 5320 - MCU and cables - MCU ports must be enabled with optional port licenses

Software for Cisco TelePresence MCU 5320 license options

1 nHD full HD/2 HD/4 SD/8 ports on 5320 MCU (max 10 with this option (6 used for nHD)) LIC-5300-4PL

Second option Ethernet port (VFO) for the MCU 5320 LIC-5300-VFO

AES and HTTPS option for the MCU 5320 LIC-AESMCU53-K9

However, there is no information related to Conference me function.

So, can we know everything that Tandberg MCU 5300 series supports the Conference me the feature?

    Best regards

  • MCU migrate Server TP

Just curious about how long it takes to migrate a 8710 leave a 8510 or 5320 MCU on a Mulit-party 320 support?

I am referring to this process.

    http://www.Cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/TD/docs/Telepresence/infrastructure/TS/...

I do not have a practical MCU I can convert and I am looking at a level of effort. If you've done this before, can you give me an idea of how long it took?

    THX,

    Rob

It's like any other MCU upgrade, the only difference is taken into account for the extra time essentially through a new facility for the first time.  This is because after you install the software, the MCU will restart and set up as a new server of telepresence with no activation/option key and a blank configuration.  It really depends on the speed at which you can get by adding in the license keys and in-depth how you want to be by configuring the settings of the server.  I don't remember exactly how long it took when I tested with my MCUs, but maybe 30 minutes to an hour off the top of my head.

  • Licensing of Port on a MSE8000 can be converted to a virtual server of TP?

    I have a client with a MSE8000 with 80 port licenses and 2 x 8420 blades.

They would like to go virtual; is there a provision for transforming these port licenses screen for a telepresence virtual server licenses?

    Thank you

    David

The only way that you can convert the MCU licenses Telepresence license server is if you have a 5300 MCU series or MCU MSE 8510 blade, and it is through the process of installing the server TP on the MCU software, because the hardware can support.

  • Can we use licenses of the highway on the highway VCS?

    Dear team,

We have 10.5 CUCM, control VCS, MCU, ISDN GW TMS Infrastructure deployed in one of our customer place. Now the client asking the Internet settings to be able to join CUCM registered endpoints. But we got the highway licenses and so we installed aboard the VMinstance Highway and installed licenses, now my query is this set works? Otherwise, we can transfer those licenses to expressway VCS?

    Please suggest!

    Hi Eric,.

In brief - customer is working to achieve both Business - to - Business (B2B). Yes, that can be reached. Note: You will need to have the right set of licenses.

Note: you mentioned VCS control and the edge of the highway. So, what are the components you have in the network? Control of VCS and VCS Expressway or VCS Expressway-Core and VCS Expressway-edge?

    Kind regards

  • TP license

    Hi all

We have C60 and Profile55 installed everywhere internally in our campus, there are 10 points for endpoints registered with VCS. None of the endpoints a licence Multisite, multi point calls are performed using MCU.

Since we have only 10 courses license and Management intends to have more endpoints, do we need to buy several license courses?

We have only internal calls within the network.

    TNX

    Bobby

    Hi Bobby,.

Each call point to consume a call single license.

Regarding the multi-point calls (two third-party or not), the concept is simple, each participant connected to the MCU (or endpoint compatible multisite) will consume a call single license. Therefore, if you have 5 endpoints connected to the MCU (assuming that the call was made through VCS), it will consume 5 licenses of the call.

  • MCU 4501 problem! Help, please!

Hello dear friends, my name is Svetoslav and I want to ask you the following question:

I have reset the MCU because I did not had the admin name and password. Now there's a banner: "NO ACTIVE PRODUCT code activation required".

My question is what I should do now, can be a problem to create a conference, because I'm trying to do a conference in menu-> settings-> SIP there is an inscription - > Registred, but when I put ID digital 1 for example and you try to create a conference on recording there failed to save... SIP registrar ID cannot save...

I'm new at this and please don't laugh a lot may be the problem of the PRODUCT NOT ACTIVE banner? Thank you!

    Hello

It's hapenning because the MCU has lost its license key. When the password reset, you must back up your license key before doing anything. See this link:

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/Telepresence/infrastructure/articles/cisco_telepresence_resetting_password_restoring_factory_settings_kb_13.shtml

To retrieve your license key, you can use the Cisco licensing page:

    1 - Go to https://tools.cisco.com/SWIFT/LicensingUI/Quickstart
2 - Go to nonexistent Get > Tandberg license

3 - Insert the serial number of the MCU and recover the license

4 - Insert the license on MCU in the "Upgrade" page

If you are not able to use this page, please contact Cisco GLO by sending an email to [email protected] / * /, so that Cisco will help you recover the licenses.

    I hope this helps.

  • Port clustering MCU 5300 flexibility

    Hi all

I wonder if we can move licenses to port one of a MCU5300 in cluster to another.

Let's say we buy two MCU5320s, each 5320 has only 10 licenses and their cluster.

(Of course, it's cheaper to buy a MCU5320 with 20 licenses).

In this case, if a MCU fails, is it possible to withdraw the licenses of MCU has failed and install to another?

(Just like a supervisor do MSE8500 blade.)

I couldn't find these descriotions on all documents, so I guess that it is not possible...

    Best Regads,

    Kotaro Hashimoto

    Hi Kotaro,

Unfortunately, this is not possible. With the 5300 series, assign you the license on each MCU, the license is considered individually, even if you have two microcontrollers in a cluster. Therefore, you cannot take off a MCU licenses and put them in another.

To move the licenses with the 5300 series, you would need to rehost license, and, as far as I am aware, Cisco actualisezles only the license when the device is replaced by RMA, or when you upgrade (I think there are expectations, but not in your case).

  • License TMS for Polycom integration [command]

    Hello

My customer has existing Polycom HDX7000 series and they need to use TMS for the planning meeting.

Should I order the license 'Cisco Network TMS integration Extension (Polycom, Radvision ViaIP, MGC, Cisco 3540)' on TMS for the support of this solution?

IF THE ANSWER IS "YES"; my client has 10 points from polycom endpoints, should I order this license for 10?

    Please help me :D

    Thank you

    Yada.

No, this option is for third-party MCU. The comma between Polycom and MGC is a typo.

You can simply add the HDXs MSDS and they consume a system standard license only.

  • Join the public network through the firewall option MCU Conference

Hello world! Lately, we have a goal to jabber (without vpn) of internet users to join conferences within our network. Our telepresence infrastructure includes VCS, MCUS and endpoints (MX, SX). I discovered that MCU (4505) has a feature called video firewall option (under license). My question is whether it will be sufficient to achieve our goal? I've also heard that VCS expressway is used. What is the difference between these two?

Firewall MCU option just the second NETWORK card, so you can have one with a public IP address and the second with a private IP address (essentially NAT'ed), and the internal and external clients will be connecting to a virtual meeting room common pre-configured on the MCU.

The VCS-E (Expressway) works in tandem with your VCS - C to offer secure firewall courses. VCS - C is located on the inside of you firewall and the VCS-E is normally in the demilitarized zone.

This allows, among other things, external systems to call your systems using H.323 and SIP URI dial, this includes clients of JabberVideo, but not Jabber client CPU.

For Jabber clients you would deploy normally expressway-e series, see http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/unified-communications/expressway-series/datasheet-c78-730478.html and http://ciscocollab.wordpress.com/2014/01/29/deploying-collaboration-edge/ - whether it will work with your existing deployment is another story, you might be better off ultimately to something similar to Pexip or Acano - both were developed by former TANDBERG/Codian/Cisco engineers.

    /Jens
