Light fault scanner want 120

all I get is vertical lines whenever I try to scan or copy, this has happened a little over a week ago, when I wanted to make a copy of my passport.  On the HP site it says that I have more defects, I bought this printer last summer, and after a few months had to have a replacement as he himself turned on and off all the time.  I tried the eprint solution unplug it and factory reset please I can do it is expensive to repair, I'm sure I'd have a year warranty from the date I received the new printer, but I say I got it June July 2013 I bought my book club and finished paying for the month of August so if I had another a (replacement) that the original was probably defective , I'm still covered please any info greatly appreciated I tried all troubleshooting.

I am pleased it is now resolved HP Customer Relations called and they are sending me a printer of replacement with a warranty of 3 months up to at least now I know how much guaranteed I and you have the option to extend it much thank you to you all and this forum.

  • ENVY 4520: Computer does not see section scanner WANT

    Last weekend, I bought a 4520 want TO replace a malfunctioning Lexmark all in one. I quickly learned that the software for this printer avaulable was not available for Mac OS X 10.7.5 (Lion). However, I followed the instructions on the Apple and this site and downloaded the appropriate drivers for the 4500 series. I am able to print wireless from my Mac, but when I attempy yo scan, the 4520 does not appear. In fact, printing and control panel Scan sees not the 4520 otherwise than as a printer no scan option available. Utility HP 'sees' the fevice but offers no adjustment of parameters. The application of scanning HP, does not see it no more.

    While printing is the main reason I bought this unit, the scan function is also valuable and I would like to be able to use it. Of course the current HP software does not support my Mac and OS (Lion) - are there any ear; first versions of installation scanning software partitions. If not, do you have suggestions for () maybe) generic software that will allow me to use the scanner?

    Hi Colin,

    Sorry for the frustration you must be feeling.  I did some checking and confirmed that HP only provides drivers scan of your product on OS X 10.8 and later versions.  This product also supports the Apple AirPrint (scan) functionality, which allows you to scan without HP software, but still this support is only available on OS X 10.10 and later versions.

    I am not familiar with the features of 3rd party scan applications.  My only suggestion would be to consider upgrading the version of the OS on your Mac (if possible) because this opens up your options considerably.

  • want 120 cartridge problem

    I'm having a problem with my printer HP Envy 120 new.

    On switching on, the 'cartridge problem' screen appears, saying: "one or more cartridges appear to be damaged.

    There is a black icon below this text but no color.

    I have assumed that meant that the color cartridge did not work. I went back to the store and got a new cartridge color under warranty.

    However, with the new cartridge installed, I still get the same message. Means, therefore, that it is the Black cartridge that is defective?

    I tried to reinstall the two cartridges, cleaning all the contacts and the reset of the printer off for 15 seconds without result; I still get the same screen.

    As I'm back at the shop soon, I would like some ammo in the case of an argument! The printer is still under warranty, but a resolution may depend on who you're talking about... :-)

    Personally I find the screen rather ambiguous. Thanks for any help!

    Simply put the replacement cartridge in now and the printer works fine.

  • Fault scanner MG7520 Windows 10

    Recently bought a Canon MG7520 printer and I have a problem with the scanner.  When trying to scan from my Windows 10 pc, a window pops up on my screen with an error code 2 250 200 ScanGear.  The error code also appears when I press scan on the printer button, have the machine Windows 10 selected as the destination computer.  Now, I also have a Windows 7 machine, and as far as I know, the scanner function works very well on this pc.  I should also mention that using the Windows 10 scan program works with the scanner - no problem - which leads me to believe the problem lies with the software/driver ScanGear, and ScanGear is not compatible with Windows 10.

    What is, in essence, the problem, the incompatibility of the software with windows 10?

    Also, I couldn't find answers for the error code 2 250 200.  What it means?

    I think I've solved the problem.  I got of Kapersky's Internet Security on my Windows 10 machine.  The subscription has expired months ago.  I uninstalled the program completely from my system.  ScanGear now seems to work fine.  I made three consecutive tests since my pc - all three worked.  I'll post here if it is not operational.

    live in the United Kingdom and have recently bought a printer Envy 120. In the shop HP are cartridges that have one European and other location which make no mention of any location. These are about 25% cheaper and I was wondering if it is OK to use these?

    My scanner used to work perfectly. Now, I get the following message if poster every time that I try to save a document or email it:

    "An error occurred registering the file because it could not be written in. Check the properties of the file to ensure that it is not dead. »

    My HP Photsmart eprint connects wireless to an iMac.

    Any ideas what went wrong?

    Click the ePrint, and then tap Settings and select delete the Web Services.

    Click once more the ePrint icon and follow the steps to reactivate web services, a new Backgrounder with a valid claim code will be printed.

  • Feeling like 120: Want 120 black ink will not print

    I'm having exactly the same problem that stcmeo had on 22/04/14; the black cartridge is not printing. Print quality diagnostic shows the black box of the void. I realized all the suggestions made to stcmeo, including a reset, but nothing helped.

    In this case I would certainly recommend call to HP for a replacement. List of the telephone numbers below...

    Could you please let me know the exact printer model and the exact error appearing on his screen?

    The HP Envy 120 uses all cartirdges installation, these cartridges of configuration is required only for other type of printers with 4 ink individual... will appreciate your clarification if the error may be slightly different on the printer or the printer model is different, such is not intended for the specific model and any standard ink cartridge should be used at a time using the device for the first time.

    As you will ifnd by his regular sheet ink cartridges come with the printer, such as listed in the who is in the section of the box:

    my willingness to want 120 hp is connected WiFi to my computer laptop mac 0s and has a connection, it has always worked perfectly, but now it will print the docs, but it won't SCAN... I reinstalled software twice... I tried solutions... Please help... D

    First, try scanning with Capture of Image (in your Applications folder).

    If you are using Snow Leopard, Lion or Mountain Lion and have HP software for Snow Leopard before (either from a CD that is not marked as compatible with 10.6-10,8 or you recently upgraded to Snow Leopard, Lion or Mountain Lion and had the software HP on your Mac before you upgrade - even if you made a standard uninstall of the old software or installed new software on top of it) You must uninstall the software by using the "scrubber":

    Go to Applications/Hewlett Packard / click Uninstall HP
    Click on continue
    Highlight your device in the left pane
    Press on and press and hold Ctrl + Alt + Cmd keys on the keyboard at the same time as you click on uninstall, it IS the Option of the scrubber, no button is labeled "washer".
    There will be a pop up that asks if you are sure you want to uninstall all hp software. (At this point, if you continue, all HP printers you have installed will need to be reinstalled)
    Click on continue and let it finish

    Restart your Mac

    Now reset the printing system:

    -Sys Prefs, Print & Fax
    -Right (control) click inside the box that lists your printers and select Reset Printing System.
    WARNING - This will remove ALL your printers!
    -Select the sign + to add again. Search for the printer, select it, and wait until the button 'Add' becomes available. Until it clicks.

    Start a scan and open the lid of the scanner while it is running. What do you see?

    There should be a pretty bright (usually white) light shining on the document from below, similar to what happens in a photocopier. If there is no visible light, the scanner lamp is probably blown. Which would result in a totally black out when the lid is closed.

    The lamp in the scanners modern as is usually a tube CCFL (Cold Cathode Fluorescent) or a set of LED.

    Replacing the CCFL tube yourself can be tricky, as those who can be very fragile. The CCFL tube also requires power high voltage, if some internal components * might * be able to give you a nasty shock.

    The LED type maybe not replaceable at all, because they are normally very long service life.

    Neutral gray scale to set the brightness (white saturation) and contrast (black crush).

    Conveniently located:

    Gamma: 2.2

    White point: 6500K (5800K with ambient lighting)

    Brightness: 100-120 (cd/m)

    Use a calibration device like SpyderElite (above applies). Grade with a neutral gray background low light level - easier on the eyes.

  • How can I make light

    OK in this project, I'm trying to make a fire in a lantern as a true light work. I have a layer of a black guy, a layer separated from a lantern that I cut out an image and saved as a PNG file, I have integrated in layers in a model and they work great. Now in a new comp, I added the comp with the black guy and the lantern in hand. There is a photo of a field in the background and a distinct layer of a station in the lower wooden sign left of the image, the post of wooden panel is also a PNG image. What I want to do is a light in the lantern that works like a real light and the guy is approaching the sign post as the light of the Lantern will reveal the text that sits on the wooden sign post. If anyone knows how to do this, it would be fantastic

    It all depends on the kind of look you are going for.

    You can do the 3d layers, parent a real light in the lantern and light attenuation value.

    You can use the color correction to darken everything and then use a layer of adjustment with masks to reveal the light where you want it to appear.

    There are a number of different ways that you can do.
