Light sensor problem

Hello. First post here. I had problems with my sensor of ambient light in the night - in total darkness, the screen refuses to adapt to its brightness. The Adaptive brightness setting only works when there is a light source or if I reboot my phone. Which is problematic for the cold winter nights when I don't want to leave the blankets. My phone is running Android 5.0.2. Is there a fix?

Contact the customer service and the Assistant advised me to clear the cache to get rid of all junk from previous installations of Android. Since it is in the middle of the day, after having done that, I lock myself in a closet as a small child and tested the Adaptive brightness. It seems to work so far! And my pitcher is smoother too? I'll be sure to do so before resetting the phone entirely, in the future. Thank you Jenny!

(Wao, motorcycle customer service iz pretty gud!)

CLEAR THE CACHE:

1. with the phone turned off, press the FLIGHT BUTTON down for 2-3 seconds and then release the POWER button.

2. the unit will display the different BOOT OPTIONS

3 use the FLIGHT DOWN to SCROLL to the recovery key and the FLIGHT UP key to select

Tip: If the device restarts, you may have been waiting for a long time to make a selection, you will have to start the process.

4. the unit will display the Motorola logo and then the Android in distress (with exclamation point logo)

5. press in and hold the FLIGHT upward for 10 to 15 seconds. While pressing the FLIGHT UP button press and release the POWER button

Tip: You can try this step, holding the phone in landscape. If you're stuck on step 6, try a forced reboot by pressing the Power button and the key low-flying and start the process again.

6. the unit will display additional menu options (text will appear in BLUE)

7 use the FLIGHT DOWN key to scroll through the options to clear the cache partition and the POWER button to select this option

8. the unit will then perform the wipe partition

9. the unit will restart and begin the normal diet of the sequences.

    Hi forum,

Yesterday, I installed the tool 'Tool Calibration of Rotation for motherboard replacement services' of the dell site.

I was playing with the STMicroSensorHubTool.exe tool and was stupid enough to run it with "STMicroSensorHubTool.exe/als_cal-clear" and this seems also broke my light sensor.

Unfortunately, I do not run 'STMicroSensorHubTool.exe /als_cal - get' before making clear, so I have no idea of the initial values.

Currently, 'get' throw me the following error:

So what I'm asking is someone able to run 'get' on his Tablet and post the contents of the file "als_cal_coeff.txt" here so I can start with something and difficulty mine?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

    I forgot to update.

    > theroblog.com

I think you're probably right, indeed, he spends some test mode the mode of operation of the detection mode, I get as before and managed to return to operational mode with / switches (I remember more accurate), but who did not solved my problem with backlight, but recovered automatic screen rotation which was also ruptured at a point.

I do not did the thing with deletion/addition of Device Manager devices for the backlight, so perhaps that can fix the backlight for me.

Fortunately, I was able to restore the functionality of the sensor. After about 2 hours of troubleshooting with DELL technical support, I said do a factory reset, and that solved problem with backlight.

For the record I do tried to run 'STMicroSensorHubTool.exe /als_cal - get' (with sensor of lighting of work) to have a backup values, but I have the same error as above... There are clearly some bugs with this software package.

    Thank you!

  • Light sensor does not work

    I love my motorcycle G (from a 520 Lumia)

My only problem is that when the brightness is set to auto, it does not change. Outdoors or indoors, there is no difference at all. I am under android 4.4.2

When the value 'auto', the brightness will at least regardless of the situation.

I download an app called Android sensor box and checked the light sensor module. It continues to show 2.0 luxuries, no matter if it's dark or full sun. It seems to be damaged material. Does anyone else have this problem?

I thought so too. It works fine however take some time to adjust the brightness of the screen. I installed the app you mentioned, and it showed changes in brightness. Looks like it is a problem with your own only to the definition.

Is flow 8 supports, ambient light sensor?  Changing light/brightness manually, it's really annoying...

Hello, unfortunately 8 Stream doesn't have an option of automatic screen brightness. The fastest way to make the brightness adjustment is to tap the icon at the bottom of the screen.

  • Screen light sensor

Hello, I have a problem with the Z5 perhaps compact cause automatic light, the sensor, cause sometimes the screen is quite dark same Sun and other times she keep changing the lighting... and that make it difficult to see the content. How can you trouble? Is this normal? Thank you

Hello!! I watched the Adaptive brightness Meanwhile and I must say that it works really well, but it is so sensitive that any movement in a different direction where is the difrent brightness changes, so if I'm in a place with a few different intensities of light I need to put the mobile in the direction it's better (as I am I have a place with the light above me) (, but behind it is less the sensor takes a bit less, I hope it's a good explanation). The problem may be known as resolted on my part at this time Cheers

Manager access suite said he couldn't connect with equipped and the driver touch pad in the taskbar icon shows but it seems to be inactive. Somehow the material is not properly recognized.
It will be interesting to see if the fingerprint sensor and touchpad may work with Vista preinstalled originally.
I think that Alex is right. Contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help. They should check the functionality of the hardware.

  • Light sensor ambient iMac 2012

My iMac has clearly a sensor of ambient light as I can see the screen change when turning on/off the light.

My question is about the 'normal' position of the brightness slider, because it seems that the brightness of the screen changes automatically relatively there where I put the cursor rather than an absolute position based on the ambient light.

    Is this behavior as expected?

    Thank you for your help

Yes. It recalculates a value based on your preferences and available light.

  • T61: cover and non-functioning lights switch problem

My T61 (type 6465) is coming for three years and has recently developed some minor but annoying flaws. The main problem is that the most reliable laptop will remain suspended: closing the lid does not have to be suspended in the first place and if I use Fn + F4 to suspend, it seems that clutching the back edge of the laptop (that you could do to pick it up and put it in a bag) cause him back on the suspension. Accordingly, I found the cell phone on when you remove it from my backpack, even if I was sure that I had hung before storing.

The other symptoms, is that some of the green lights have stopped working. Namely, the green lights of power, battery, caps lock num and caps lock seem to have stopped running, but wireless, hard drive and activity to suspend lights continues to work. In addition, the orange battery light works very well.

Other that the system continues to work perfectly: the battery is still good and maintain the load, the power supply charges the battery and powers the system properly. Power management applications show the correct information about the power status of the system (i.e. on current AC or battery-operated).

I try to work if this is likely to be a hardware failure or a software problem initially. Has anyone seem to similar symptoms, or may suggest that the problem could be based on my description?

    See you soon,.

    -Mark.

non-functioning lights is most likely a hardware problem.

  • Stop the engine when detects digital impulses of the reflective light sensor

    Hello

I am doing my school project and I managed to make the deepening of the engine via digital port of the USB-6008 by setting the Boolean value of output in a while loop with use cases, but now I faced a problem because I have to use it with a reflective sensor and stop the engine when he feels a digital pulse. The sensor is configured as a counter using PFI0 on the USB-6008 with a circuit that will send in a digital pulse for data acquisition.

How to stop the engine when the detector reflecting is blocked, and then start the deepening again when it is not blocked

    Thank you

The top spot is always implemented as a counter.  You must change the DAQmx create channel as a digital input and the DAQmx interpreted as a Boolean variable digital 1 channel 1 sample.
