Lightroom 3 print with a magenta cast

Hello

My lightroom 3 impressions with all the Red objects in the image having a terrible magenta color cast, my Epson r2400 as long on the color of my HP Laserjet 2605dn. printing from Windows Explorer is OK - colors look good but there are not many options for printing available.

If you turn off color management in the printer, you must use an ICC profile in LR that matches your printer and the paper you use, such as here.

Example:

(do not pay attention on behalf of sRGB profile, it is just an example of a profile and should not be used by you)

Actually, it is the recommended method to get good results. Please also consult the Guide offered on the same page.

  • Lightroom versus printer manages color

    I have a monitor profile, and yet I find that I get prints that are a LOT closer to what my monitor returns when I let the printer (Epson 3880) handle color management when I left LR handle. Yes, I turned off "Printer manages color" in the printer controls. I tried color perceptual and relative and noticed no real difference. Also tried printing from Photoshop which produced prints that were farther away from what was displayed on the monitor. I use bright exhibition luster paper and what seems to me to be the right profile (BrillLusterEP3880PK). Overall, the prints have a magenta cast during the use of the profile and appear more neutral when you use "Printer manages color."

    Any ideas?

    In fact I think that the problem is in the profile provided by bright. The best impression from a distance (nearest what it on the screen) was produced with Epson paper using the supplied Epson profile. I know others like third party documents, but stay within "the family" seems to have its benefits.

  • Lightroom 3.5 Image Raw color Magenta Cast

    My Nikon D7000 raw files all have a magenta cast to them when they are imported into Adobe Lightroom 3.5 and I wasn't turning on multiple exposure. I am running Windows 7 64-bit and have Adobe Photoshop CS4 as well as a trial version of Adobe Lightroom 3.5 (test to see if I want to buy because I can't read my raw files in CS4).

    If I convert my raw files to DNG and then view them using camera raw (CS4), the magenta cast is gone. However, if I find these same with Lighroom DNG files, they have the magenta cast. I tried to re - import my catalog, but each time they all have the same magenta strong cast. Help would be much appreciated as I can't seem to find anyone else having this problem, and otherwise I can't access my raw files.

    The most likely reason is the monitor profile. Recalibrate the screen or if you do not have the necessary hardware/software try switching on the sRGB profile replaces the default monitor profile

  • New to Pro-100, do not print, problems with a color cast or poor shadow values

    Hi forum! I am a new owner of a Pro-100. I have a Pro - 9500 Mark II.

    I have a symptom of having a kind of dominant to my dark values on several tests of purple color printing. I printed with photoshop and everything just app photo apple - same result.

    My blues are supposed to be blue electric/royal, but I'm close to the Navy. Violet is also in shades clear, but not as obvious.

    My nozzel checks look good, I did a cleanup, tried a few different profiles...

    All advice appreciated. The image below is an idea of what I see. I'm not in a piece of color balanced to take a picture of my impression with the monitor. Thank you!

    Fixed! I got on the Horn with support canon technique. Mary told me download Print Studio Pro. We made some adjustments and I now have a good impression. the result is great, but the process seems like a band-aid to put on/in photoshop. I wonder if the question is more photoshop, or even more with the software of the printer... But, Cannon was very helpful, the whole process takes about 30 minutes.

  • Color management in Lightroom 3 print Module

    I was never quite happy with the Lightroom print module, but have recently noticed quite marked when printing color inconsistencies.  I use a HP B9180 printer and always use application controls the color (and learned how to set the printer driver to the top outside of Lightroom in the Windows 7 Control Panel to avoid what it back to one of the HPs built in printer setup options).  I also print using QImage Pro that I have set up as an external editor, test images sent to the QImage always print as expected, but the same images printed on Lightrooms 3 have a Magenta cast.  I always assumed that lightroom kept the image in his workspace of ProPhotoRGB internal in the print module and profile specific printer/paper ICC to convert directly from ProPhotoRGB "instructions to specific printer/paper" (QImage is certainly sending the file image in aRGB or ProPhotoRGB gives exactly the same result).  However I was looking at the model of printer and among her file found the following

    printingFileProfile = "sRGB",.

    printingFileResolution = 300,

    printingProfile = "C:\\Windows\\system32\\spool\\drivers\\color\\HP PSPro B9100 - Advanced Photo Glossy.icc"

    printingresolution = 300,

    renderingIntent = "Perception."

    Can I infer from this snippit that when the print module is enabled, a copy of the image is rendered within sRGB, reduced to 300 dpi color and this is the file that is used when printing (important to know even if you select managed by printer color management personnel as the B9180 pilot gives you a choice of aRGB and sRGB as managed by application on the color management tab)?

    Does anyone know what precicely goes here?

    What is the root cause of incompatible colors?

    I'm under that Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit on a PC with a Core 2 Quad Q6700, 8 GB of DDR2 RAM and a NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GS graphics card.

    I have the latest drivers for the B9180.

    No, the keyword "printingFileProfile" profile which is selected when you switch your output to a jpeg file. The keyword "printingProfile" is the profile that is used to translate the data to your printer. If you select a profile in the context menu, what Lightroom is converted from inner space linear prophoto for the profile of the printer and that sends the printer driver. No staging sRGB is made. If you get an unexpected color, what usually happened is color management double because the pilot has a different profile. He should leave the quiet data, but it is obviously not. The magenta colors are a very typical signature of double. My guess is that the setting "handled by the application" is to have ignored or is stunning when printing. Make sure you check that the definition of when you hit actually impression about me that he often returned to sRGB in Lightroom without discernible reason. He shouldn't do that, but there are a few strange printer driver interaction bugs in Lightroom.

    Suddenly printing on an epson 3800 using photoshop to manage printing and turning off control of the printer, looked terrible magenta color - washed out, less red.  I had a long discussion with people of epson - tried many things - and concluded that the printer was OK.  In fact, allowing the printer control the color mgt produces much better images.  Same print a jpg file printed from the desktop (without using the PS) gave much better results printing through Psalm do any help?     Thanx

    When Photoshop suddenly changes its behavior and you have not installed new software try resetting you preferences.  In fact if you have installed the new software try resetting your Photoshop preferences.   In the past I have had red impressions cast my Epson 4 800, which has been fixed by resetting my preferences.

  • My printer does not print because my Magenta is weak. How I know to print in black only?

    My printer told me that the Cyan cartridge is empty. So I wanted to buy all 3 colors, but the store had no Magenta in stock. "So I changed the Cyan, but my printer says: order supplies" if I put the yellow and now the printer says "order Magenta" when even they are weak, no vacuum. How can I work around this problem and just print in black? My printer is a HP Color Laser Jet CP2025.

    {Thread moved to applicable forum}

    Read the documentation that came with your printer, or which is available on the web site of the manufacturer of the printer if you want to know the features of the printer.  Examine the dialogues of the driver properties (by right-clicking on the printer in printers and faxes or printers and devices folder (depends on your version of Windows and you never said that) and choosing Properties or printing preferences > printing preferences.)  Somewhere in these properties will be an option "levels of gray.

  • Photosmart C8180 All-in-one: not able to print colors light magenta and magenta

    I bought photosmart c8180 about 3 years as a spare printer. I set up and printed a few pages. A printer was perfectly fine.  Last week, I decided to use this printer. When I tried to print, color photos are released totally foires.  I used the tools-alignment option and received a message that alignment was successful.  A printed page has rectangular bars at the end of the page and a magenta bar as well. He also printed two birds with some magenta color. For me, it's proof that the printer can use magenta colors. However, a self-test page came out without any of the magenta color. Under the color of the light magenta and magenta stars boxes were missing.

    I look at the Forum and find out that some people had the same problem.  It dates back to the years of 2011. There are several experts HP answers to how to solve this particular problem.  However, even if it is from 2011 tread has been always open because these so-called 'experts' were not useful. I tried all - they do not help us.

    I called technical support and representatives of hp told me that they cant't help me because this model is discontinued. They also surprised me a bit telling me to throw this printer.  If this is the best solution for this problem of ink for 8100 Series, then, please confirm as an expert. The thead element has been open since 2011 and I don't know that it's time to shut it down.

    Please, answer

    Hello

    Because the printer is out of warranty, technical support may provide you option to get an improved printer (a different model) with a little low prices.

    There is a problem with the printhead (ink delivery system) that cannot be repaired.

  • Print with cyan does not

    Our HP OfficeJet 6500 not print color cyan.  The cartridge is full.  Please notify.

  • Photos are not print with the photo cartridge

    Hello

    I have a Photosmart e 7510 and am trying to print photos.  I have installed HP Premium paper and HP Photo cartridge installed.  When I print the photos that are green - I printed both a progress report and a report of print quality and the cartridge photo is full but the magenta is empty.  It seems to me that the photos are print with regular color cartridges and not the photo cartridge.  Or photos using all the cartridges?  I correctly on all the printer settings and chose to 'better' than the quality of the photo.

    Any help is appreciated...

    The photo cartridge is just black photo, which is used to improve the nuances of black and colors in a photo. When photos are printed colours would be used to create the best possible performance. I could replace the magenta cartridge and printing resumes and see if that solves the Green tinting the problem you are currently experiencing. I hope this helps.

  • Lightroom CC print 2 copies of images for all printers

    How can I get lightroom to print 1 copy of the image. The number of copies is set to 1, but lightroom prints 1 copies to all printers.

    Jim and Joe,

    First of all, the printer driver (s) is both set to 1 copy. I use a Brother 8510DN BW laser printer and a laser Xerox Phaser 8560 color printer. Prints to the Brother printer has suddenly started print 1 copy per image. Also, if I select the ' print' button in the LR print module, it prints two copies. However, if I select the "Printer" button and click ok it prints a copy without selecting print at all. I think I can work with that. Thanks for your help.

  • You can print with a 6s iPhone using a printer no Wifi

    How do you print with a 6s iPhone using the printer no WiFi?

    Hey,.

    I always got WiFi printers in my house and never had to deal with this problem personally, but the following CNET article seems to answer this question:

    http://www.CNET.com/how-to/how-to-print-wirelessly-from-your-iPhone-iPad-or-iPod - touch.

    My printer is a HP OfficeJet 7500 E910, which allows me to print from any wireless device and my printer is plugged only the power source.

    Also, I did not read the entire article carefully, but I would venture to say that if you have a cable to connect your printer to your wireless router, it should appear as a network printer. If your iPhone is connected to the same wireless network as the router is mounted, you should have this success. It would still be printing wireless from your iPhone, but just a different configuration.

    Hope this helps, and feel free to respond with thoughts or questions!

    Thank you

    Michael

    Could check it out you here:

    On Windows, press the Alt key to display the bar menu if necessary:

    Display > headers

    It seems that you have 'Full' selected instead of "Normal". If you switch Normal, messages print with just the From/to/subject?

    For more flexible options, you can try this module (installed from the inside of Thunderbird): https://addons.mozilla.org/thunderbird/addon/printingtools/
