  Another way to do

  1. Select all photos in the catalog

  2 dismiss a color label

  3. go to collections and multi select all your collections (ctrl)

  4. select images and give them a color

  5. return to the catalogue

  6. filter by color label - No

  I know that this question could be covered widely in various forums, but I can't find what I'm looking for.

  The issue I'm having is that I used the quick Collection folder to temporarily store all the photos that I have edited for printing.  All of a sudden all the photos of this quick collection have broken links (! in the upper right corner).  I found these pictures in the real LR folder and they are fine.  How is that possible?

  instead of fixing all the links in the quick collection, I would like to use a smart collection just find all my photos edited in the original folder that has the tact in links.  However, when you filter for "adjusted photos" the smart collection keeps giving me photos with broken links, probably from my quick collection, not those of the foler.  How do I know the smart collection to search only in one folder I want?

  Hi, you seem to be confused about the importance of brands of exclamation noticed on the images.

  This means that the catalog as a whole has lost track of these images.

  The most likely reason is that they have been moved to another location by using the operating system or one application other than Lightroom or they are on an external hard drive where the assigned drive letter changed (a Windows problem).

  I do not understand your comment on find them in the "real" LR folder

  Images are not stored in Lightroom, either.

  The catalog contain references to the location of your pictures.

  It is these references that are spread over the images showing the exclamation points.

  If the Smart collection has been implemented correctly then it will want to include all the images that have been published for printing, but the Smart collection is SEO information found in the catalogue and so it will include images of which the catalogue has lost track of--exactly as you found it.

• Adobe Bridge CC smart Collections are not all images in the folder

  I'm having a problem with bridge CC have been I have set up a smart collection to monitor my new photos. The folder contains more than 300 photos, but displays only 160. The only condition I set must have a minimum of 10 KB file size, then he needs to bring in all the files because most are greater than 4 MB. At first I thought it was a problem with the files themselves (permissions or something) but if I open the file in bridge easily display images easily. Any ideas?

  I just solved the above condition in accessing the smart collection and clicking while pressing 'control' > edit. > Source. > Look at po and re connected to the source of origin (on our server) that I had defined for the smart collection. All is well now.

  I have none of the regular created collections or smart collections.

  I am trying to create a smart collection that contains all the photos with the Dingo keyword in them.

  1. I click on "create new smart collection.

  2. look in: folder "my pictures."

  3 criteria; Select the keywords - contains - and type in Dingo

  4. in the results, Match if all of the criteria and the two check boxes are selected.

  5. click on save.

  When I click on save, nothing happens, the window remains open and it doesn't seem like it recognize my click.

  Suggestions?

  It's weird.

  I don't know what influence startup scripts have, but you could check and see if you have checked them in preferences/Startup scripts.

  Is it on an internal dirve?  If external can have permission issues.  Just as a test of bridge nearby, do a right-click on the bridge icon and choose 'Run as administrator'.

  If this does not work, I'm balls.  Can try to reset the preferences.  Hold down the CTRL key and launch Bridge.  Should get a reset with 3 options window.

• Lightroom can see the keywords that is not the bridge

  I am under Lightroom 2 and CS4 Bridge.  I have a small series of pictures that I import into Lightroom.  A nested keyword appears in these photos.  But the keyword does NOT appear when you view files in Bridge.  I've had bridge purge and regenerate the cache, but those specific keywords do not always appear.  Other keywords appear, however.  In Bridge preferences, I have selected 'Read the hierarchical keywords' and checked all the delimiters.  In the case of Lightroom, the delimiter used seems to be ' > '.  This delimiter is not available as an option in Bridge.  What is a part of the problem?

  If there are duplicated in my pictures or LR keywords, I'm certainly not seeing them right now.

  It is easy to discover. Export keywords and analyze the text file resulting for the duplicated words. There are various free software that will scan a text file for duplicate words. This also gives you a chance to correct spelling your keywords.

  The text file will show your hierarchy with tabs. Here is my file of exported text kw example

• Filtering of learning: Smart Collections of shows not all filtered images

  I am a student with Classroom In A Book, so this test is small and only using the images bit supplied on the CD-ROM of the BWC.

  It is said in the book that a Smart Collection is a selection filtered according to the rules of what you specify.

  That's fine, but when I click on the arrow down on the left side of the screen to see the list of the Collections smart just some filtered images are presented. The images that I have marked in red are shown as a Smart Collection. Does not show the images that I marked with green (only one). A single image that I marked with five stars presents itself as a Collection of Smart, so it may be that you need more of a marked item before he presents himself as a Smart Collection. I made sure that I have highlighted the folder that contains the images (in local) and they are displayed in library Mode and grid mode.

  Lightroom installs smart collections of 4 or 5 samples as part of the default installation.

  Is there a way to create a smart collection to see all the photos imported in the last, say, 1 or 2 days? It seems that the date is available as a field in the metadata, but I don't see how to use it in a smart collection. I want to work with all the photos that have been imported from several SD cards at the same time.

  I was afraid of that... but I've found a workaround. I created a new standard collection called recent imports and the value of import to automatically add dialog of the photos in this collection. I just need to remember to clear the collection at the right time.

  Smart collections are really a filter on all your images, they are not stored as a set of specific images. So if you want to add or remove images, you must use a regular collection, not a smart.

  Please see the screenshot to remove collections under smart collection below.

  

  To add the image to the collection, drag the photos of the display of grid to a collection in the Collections Panel.

I tried to use the collection as a source for a smart collection, but this does not select the photos. Instead, I have to use the folder as source - what I am doing wrong?

  Go to your collection and use the filter library. If you do not see the filter library at the top of your thumbnails, press the backslash key.

  You can use the filter to search for photos with indicator and starry or combinations of these criteria.

• Smart collection of matches with only two keywords

  I've added keywords in all my photos with the names of the people in the picture.  Then, I created a smart collection with two names inside.  For example, Jessica and Ryan.  This collection then returns all the images that have Jessica or Ryan in them. I am trying to get images that contain both Jessica and Ryan, but not other names.  The only way I knew how to do it is going in the other names in the field does not contain.  It seems a lot of work when I have many other names, and must be updated every time that I add new keywords.  Is there an easier way?

  Not exactly. It depends on how you define more "easy". A possible solution would be to have a keyword that is the number of people in the photo. Then, you could look for Ryan and Jessica and 2 (or two?). Not a great solution, but it works.

  If Lightroom supported some syntax such as 'only Ryan and Jessica in the population', this kind of research would be possible.

  We are developing a tool for simple automation using Lightroom 5 (the most recent version of the penal code) using AppleScript.

  For certain actions, we need the context menu in the Panel smart Collections, for example, to import smart collections descriptions.

  According to the documentation and sources on stackoverflow and elsewhere, AXShowMenu should bring up this menu.

  So far I was not able to do the contextual pop-up menu.

  With the help of UIElementInspector and the browser of the user interface, I have found the element that has the attached AXShowMenu action. Based on the code provided by the browser of the user interface, I got the following script, that I run from the Applescript Editor:

  Just for the records, I asked the same question on Stackoverflow, and I got a response that does not work. This solution uses a small Python program to really simulate mouse clicks.

• Smart collection drop-down does not keywords

  I must have got this right once, because I have a smart collection whose only condition is a key word, which is at the top of the drop down to this collection.  Similarly, there is a collection of default Smart that LR must have created, called "without the keywords" and that one of the conditions is that keywords are empty.  However, whenever I try to create a new collection of smart, the criteria drop-down begins with side, followed by pick flag, color of the label, the label text, down to the final criteria, 'any searchable text' I understand unlike keywords, because there is a criterion called keywords.  It is true of attempts to change existing smart collections.  Where's my criterion by keywords?

  If you click on the drop down sides first or that you have the display you will see that the criteria were grouped into LR5. You will find keywords by selecting:
