Lightroom develop view shows strange outlines and colors

Hello

My apologies if this has been asked before, but I find it difficult to find the question as I don't know exactly how to describe it.

When I view a newly imported image (RAW from Sony a6000) in lightroom (latest version) cc - she understood correctly in the library, but grow it shows very strange colors.

This does not happen on my other computer.

I have a bad setting on this computer?

If you need more information, let me know what it is and how to get it

Thank you

Say hello to new aadilahmed. It is strange that you only have a single test, but this laptop is a few years old so maybe only, it came with a trial. However, it wouldn't hurt to go and run the test drive anyway. Failed or damaged hard disks can also cause strange problems occur.

In any case, I feel that the most likely cause will be the RAM. Fortunately, you can use another tool to check memory. The tool is called "Memtest86" and offers a CD image that you can burn and start Notepad with for diagnosis. You want to Save this file to your desktop and burn the image to a CD. Burn a CD image is a bit different from a normal CD burning so if you have never done before to follow these instructions so that you create a bootable CD.

You will also need to make sure the CD-ROM drive is selected as the first boot device. Here are the instructions.

    1. Go to the BIOS of your laptop.
    2. Go to the System Configuration section.
    3. Select "Startup Options".
    4. Make sure that the CD-ROM is the first boot device. The second should be your hard drive.
    5. Save your changes, and then restart the computer with the CD in the tray.
    6. Run Memtest86 and view the results.

  • Lightroom Develop module turns dark, grey and non-exposed images

Why when Lightroom loads images (to develop the module), all images in the grey and dark towers (the preview looks perfect - planned exhibition and full color). All settings are set to 0, no automatic agreement or presets are applied.

Also, when I take pictures (Nikon D4), they looks good on the screen of my back and I'd guess D4 knows how to calculate exposure. But in Lightroom, they all come out at least 1 full stop not exposed, so after exposure setting, I had unnecessary noise grain (and work).

I even tried to download Nikon View NX (software for Nikon transfers) initially thought, because I was hoping that after importing the files to Lightrooms I will also get color camera settings (such as landscape, Portrait, Vivid, etc.).

What could something couse him like that?

P.S. It's screanshoot - Lightroom loads/process images that they all be so dark as the selected image. All the neighbors sunflowers are the same, and they was that I expected to be... Previously, they turn dark...

  • Creative Cloud Lightroom import records show that year and not the name of the file that I created

When I import files from an SD card to Lightroom, I import to an external drive as my file.  Indicates the name of the folder to the year (2015) and not the name of the file that I created (Fort Worth, 12152015).  This has happened with every import that I've done so far.  How can I fix it?

The copy option is used to copy the files from your camera card. The Add option is used when the files are already on your hard drive. They must be copied, just added to the Lightroom Catalog. You can simply add the files that are located on a map of the camera. They must be copied to the hard drive first.

  • Installer of creative cloud sticks with Lightroom 4.1 showing in place and installation of 4.3

What is the problem with the installer? (see section)

I had installed 4.1 as a separate facility before I went to the creative cloud.

Apparently, there's at least an installation bug: I removed completely Lightroom using uninstall. Subsequently installed via installer creative cloud. Lightroom is installed in C:\Programs can where it was installed before, completely ignoring the installation path in the installation of creative cloud program (what is C:\Adobe for me), which makes the installer not clicking on the link 'Launch app', as the software is not installed where it expects.

So two things to fix: Lightroom 4.3 is not available in the creative clouds, installation path gets ignored by the installation of Lightroom. :-(

Thank you for the information on the custom installation path.  You should be able to install Lightroom 4.1 at the default location and then install Lightroom 4.3.  4.3 Lightroom will then use Lightroom 4.1 license information.

  • Colors do not match from Lightroom (checked ICC, cab version and color settings)

    Greetings,

I have a picture of the water in the rocks in Lightroom CC 2015. Do you have all my settings and it looks the way I want it. He sent to Photoshop CC 2015 and I get this strange halo neon-aqua in the water.

The image has a DNG from a Panorama in Lightroom, so I tried the following:

    1. check that the treatment of color Aqua/Blue in Lightroom. Restore all files source panorama 0 and rebuilt. Same question.

    2. export file looking for good Lightroom as TIFF, then open it directly from Lightroom. Same question.

    3. open the TIFF file in other applications (e.g., Pixelmator, Raw Therapee). Image looks exactly as it does in Lightroom, so question should be in Photoshop.

    4. change the settings in the color settings in Photoshop. Tried of perceptual and Relative. Have all the options under "Color management policies" as "Preserve" and all options are checked. All combinations led to the same question.

5 enabled setting in Camera Raw by bridge and resynched setting for the CC apps. Same question.

6a changed to write the settings Lightroom develop in format JPG, TIFF, PSD files (I always checked even when XMP). Same question.

    7. calibrate the monitor with X - Rite ColorMunki Photo. Same question.

8 calibrate the monitor with a gain of X-Rite ColorMunki Photo, but this time with the ICC v2 profile. Same question.

    9. turned on GPU (MacBook Pro retina end 2013). Same question.

    10. tried to re-assiging and profile ProPhoto RGB conversion. Same question.

    11. I usually export to Photoshop as 16 bit, ZIP, 300 dpi, ProPhoto RGB TIFF. Tried to export to Photoshop as PSD. Same question.

12 tried exporting as sRGB and AdobeRGB. Who worked in the sense that the halos of aqua has disappeared, but the image is duller than in Lightroom (although a so slightly).

In view of the fact that the image is displayed as expected in all applications, but Photoshop (well, Illustrator as well, but it converts the subtle colors of the water in 8-bit, so I'm not sure that the problem is the same), I suspect I'm missing something in Photoshop. In addition, it seems to only affect how Photoshop interprets the images with ProPhoto RGB profiles. I don't remember having this problem with previous versions.

All the foregoing is CC versions and is up to date. ACR is 9.2.

Steps 1 through 9 were the ideas that I found elsewhere in the forums, but I'm out of ideas.

A reflection as to how I can continue to use ProPhoto RGB, given that my entire workflow is based on that?

    Thank you very much

    Paul

Screenshots would help, but from what you describe this must be your monitor profile. A problem with the profile itself, or an application is not loading the correct profile.

It does not matter what color space you export from Lightroom. These applications are the two color managed and will display the file correctly regardless of the color space. They must be synchronized (the exception is the threshold effect that can happen from Adobe RGB to sRGB, but you won't see that on a range wide-screen.) Any cutting of ProPhoto was moot because you don't see, in any case, on any monitor).

So when you say you see a difference between a file exported as ProPhoto and exported as Adobe RGB or sRGB, it's a smoking gun. Something wrong here, and the main suspect is still the monitor profile.

The two find themselves in the same monitor profile, but the source profiles are different. In Lightroom, it is linear (gamma 1.0) ProPhoto, in Photoshop gamma 1.8 ProPhoto, Adobe RGB or sRGB. Conversions are so different. This is why a bad profile may appear differently in different scenarios.

Basic troubleshooting is to replace the monitor with a known good profile. That would be the sRGB or Adobe RGB, depending on whether your monitor is a standard or wide range. Then see if there is still a difference. Be sure to restart both applications when done - they load the profile screen on startup.

Change the brightness, contrast, and color in the photo viewer in win 7?

How to change the brightness, contrast and color in the windows photo viewer 7 (I used the fix option in xp and vista)
    Thanks for any help.

    Hi epse30,

In Windows Vista Windows Picture and Fax Viewer has been replaced by the Windows Photo Gallery and there was an option to set the brightness, contrast, etc by using the Fix as you said.

Unfortunately, this option is not available with the Windows Photo Viewer in Windows 7.

    However, Windows Live Photo Gallery has a number of easy to use tools for things like red eye fixing or clearing exposure and low light situations. Windows Live Photo Gallery gives you more creative control over your photos. You can download Windows Live Photo Gallery for free from the link below;
