  I enjoyed using Lightroom over the past years.  Recently, I made the huge mistake to register for Adobe Creative Cloud.  Lightroom 2015.2.1 on OS X El Capitan was incredibly buggy, but only in a frustrating way up to our days.

  I use Lightroom to synchronize photos, among other things, my son to a Flickr album to see the family across the country.  Family leave comments and favorite photos, so it was a good use of the systems.  There are thousands of images out there.

  Last night, I added a half-dozen more images that I used to do: slide in the album in Flickr Adobe publishing service, click with the right button on the album and click on publish now.  Before publish, I checked to make sure that the images I was clear were in the image list to be published (I was bitten by a selection 'Changed to republish images' strange a few times on 2015.2.1 so I'm now very careful about that).  This morning I wake up to find essentially my Flickr album all erased.  He has deleted everything and may have been slowly adding them until he locked up (as it does now apparently all 60 minutes even on the best days).  1200 images, 5 remain.  I'm quite sad to think about all the metadata that has been just lost.

  Is it possible to fix this?  I don't know even where to start.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  If there is a bug in the API that third-party applications as LR invoke, then it is quite possible that the Flickr server has deleted the photos in response to LR publishes a collection of the server.   It is also quite possible that there is a bug in the Flickr from LR plugin - but so far I've seen a verified report of a bug in CC 2015.2.1, where LR post keywords incorrectly.

  Yes. Many people have started with CC 2015.1.1, the latest stable version. Same Adobe recommends. See these instructions: How do I roll back to Lightroom 2015.1.1 or Lightroom 6.1.1? CC 2015.3 is rumored to be available soon, but recommend to wait a few weeks before the update - let others do the beta testing.

  I had this problem for a while, and it would be my month couple someone help me understand this.

  When I import photos into lightroom (I don't use RAW JPEG), lightroom seems to change my photos.   The first thing to look at is in LR preferences, Presets tab: make sure "apply auto tone settings" is not checked.

  Then go to develop with a newly imported image (that you have not yet begun to work on). There is a button Reset lower right of the screen.

  First, hold the SHIFT key and it gets Reset (Adobe). Click to cancel the effect of any customization current user of your treatment of default values and see if this image sliders appear as you can - and you want the image to be.

  Note that the customization of the original appearance of the images may prove to be more productive in practice, as the start of a completely intact point all the time - and you are in control of this. The goal is not starting corresponding to an unprocessed image, but to make an image processed in the most effective way of IMO.

  Now instead of SHIFT, hold down the ALT (option). This same Reset button now changes to "set as default... ». Click on this button and release the ALT key. This dialog box allows you to develop to either remove any custom default user that may have been defined (back to Adobe to factory settings, for this type of file, for this unit) - otherwise, deliberately take an image with another treatment of your choice, and set it as the new defaults to develop.

  Develop these default values are applied to new imports, imposed by the reset button when it is used with no modifier key.

  Maybe it's a default value for the standard user (accidentally?) has been defined in your case; or it may only be the 'automatic' first tone (which BTW is the basic Panel sliders).

  When you try to import the camera images in Lightroom, please change Destination in the import window.
  Or try to import images to another location.

• How to import files from RAW and jpg formats

  If I shoot in RAW + JPG format images, there are two files for each image (a RAW and a JPG).  When I import into LightRoom, only the RAW files appear on the screen to import.  To import the JPG file, I need to download the jpgs from the card to the computer and then separately to import computer jpg files into LightRoom.

  In your Lightroom preferences, there is an option to treat JPEG files next to raw separate image files. If you check this option, then Lightroom will import JPEG images, but also raw images. Once you select this option you can synchronize files that have already been imported and JPEG images will be added to the catalog.

  There is no 'server Thunderbird', so that solves the first part of your question.

  I don't know what you mean by "log in."

  Thunderbird, retrieves all in all, your messages from the server when you tell him, or you can configure it to do periodically.

  With respect to the date of my installation, I did a gross calculation error.   The software has been installed at the beginning of may, 2015.   I rely on it heavily, so it was as if I had it all year.   Thanks for the instructions for the small drop in the identity plate area.  This download of drop enabled me to uncheck options Mobile with Lightroom.

• CC of Lightroom will not identify photos NEF (RAW) of my D500.

  I use a MacBook Pro running El Capitan 10.11.5 and when I load the raw files in Lightroom it accepts them and then sends me a message that each file is unrecognizable form.  I checked with others who do not seem to have this problem (Leigh at Snapchick.com doesn't have the issue), but I can't find an update to fix the problem.

  Lightroom does not allow me to import pictures from my camera or my office. They appear in the preview of little Lightroom and I select the ones I want to import, and then add my info etc and manipulation of files metadata, but then when I hit just IMPORT keeps saying that they cannot be read.  SO FRUSTRATING.

  To change the permissions on a folder, click the padlock icon in the corner of the info box. You will be asked your admin username and password (can be the same as yours if you are the only user on the computer). Then, you will be able to change permissions.

  But I agree that user is not the real destination folder. To be sure, right-click on the destination in Lightroom and then choose 'Show in Finder' get info on this issue.

  Lightroom uses for years.  Just do a big import and thumbnails are now sorted in a somewhat arbitrary order.  xxxx60, xxxx64, xxxx57, xxxx63, xxxx59...

  Go to the toolbar and change the sort order. If the toolbar is not visible, press the "t" key to display it.
