Lightroom Wireless Sync between 2 Mac

One of my fellow photographers and Designers know if Adobe Photoshop Lightroom allows you wireless connected from a catalog to the same catalog of 2 different computers. What I feel is at work I have a catalog LR all the work I do is on an external hard drive so when I'm not at the Office I take outside of the House and it works on my laptop, the catalog is the same, but changes if I had to work on a computer isn't here on others its not there. It can be automatically be connected via internet since LR has the capabilities of synchronization with the Mobile application such as the iPhone and the iPad. This same functionality is also available on Mac to Mac?

Hi photoswithjoel,

Greetings!

There is currently no way to catalog synchronization between two computers.

What I do, I keep my catalog and all my files in an external hard drive.

When I open, I open the catalog and do editing and when I reach the Office I do the editing on the same catalogue, which is in the external hard drive.

Take a good return of your catalog on the hard drive internal to a certain interval of time as if something happens on the external hard drive, your data and the change is safe.

  • Notes will not sync between my Mac and my iPad

Hello. I noticed that my Notes are not sync between my iPad and my Mac.

In my iPad I have iOS 9, in my Mac I have the Mavericks.

I checked in iCloud dot com, and my notes of the iPad are here,

but my notes from my Mac are not there.

I'm not sure but I think that this started happening after I upgraded to iOS 9 on my iPad.

Any ideas that I can synchronize Notes between my Mac and my iPad?

    Thank you.

You must upgrade to a later version of Mac OS X, because these Notes are created in the new application 'Notes' that is only supported by iOS 9 and OS X El Capitan.

I hope that answers your question.

  • iMessage does not sync between iPhone, Mac Mini, MacBook Air

My main computer is: Mac Mini (mid-2011), El Capitan 10.11.1 (B 15, 42)

My secondary computer is: MacBook Air (13 inch, mid-2012), El Capitan 10.11.1 (B 15, 42)

    And my iPhone is: iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 9.1 (B 13, 143)

iMessage used to sync between my iPhone and my computers very well. I was also able to answer incoming calls on my iPhone with computers. It seems that, just at the time I upgraded from Yosemite to El Capitan (or maybe iOS 9.1) synchronization no longer works. I tried pretty much everything I read on the forums, but nothing works. When I go into SETTINGS, MESSAGES and TRANSMISSION of MESSAGE TEXT on my iPhone and select the Mac Mini or MacBook Air, it will activate the program MESSAGES on the computer, but it won't send a code.

    Hello

Have you tried with Messages on the relevant Mac already started?

Have you tried signing of the Apple ID on the iPhone > settings > Messages > Send and Receive and effectively reset all?

  • Why my notes sync between my Mac and iPhone?

I have my MacBook Pro with Mac OS X 10.9.5 Mavericks and my iPhone is running iOS 10.0.1 and used to synchronize my notes! Is it because of the huge gap in operating systems? I SHOULD update my Mac to Mac OS 10.10 + for this problem? Thank you!

In order to synchronize Notes between your Mac and iPhone, you must configure iCloud > http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/

But this requires macOS Sierra 10.12, the latest available version and the last iOS available for your iPhone.

  • iTunes sync between two Macs

Newby here: must be a current situation... I have an old iMac from 2004 still purring along and I use it only for iTunes, fuelled an amp for home.  There are about 20 GB of songs.  My 'new' baby is an iMac 2012 also with about 20 GB music.  A large part of the songs are common to both, but many are not.  I would like to sync the two so that both machines have all the songs.  Is not its too difficult for me.  Please tell me it's easy!  That would be a backup for my music.  Otherwise, I need to find all the songs on the new Mac that aren't on the former and copy it on the old iMac for use through the amp.  Please people if you can help.

No, there is no easy way, especially with one of the Mac's so old and do not have all the characteristics of a new iTunes such as sharing at home or iCloud.

The only way to merge them is to copy the folder Media from one computer to another (using a flash drive if necessary), add files to iTunes, then spend a day treaty duplicates.

It would help if you provided more details about the computers, their versions of the operating system, versions of iTunes, if they are connected in a network.  The only way I can think of making some work is if once you have support all in one place, you run separate iTunes library files that correspond to the versions different iTunes you are using, but they point to the media in a central location.  However, they will always have different playlists and adding or removing media must be made by the two libraries individually.

  • Information about syncing between a mac and another mac?

I use notes on my MacBook, my iPhone and iPad. They all have the sync very well in all directions.

I also share my notes with my wife. She also has a MacBook Air, an iPhone and an iPad. To do this, I added my iCloud account to its devices and use it to share my calendars iCloud and notes.

    Calendars all sync very well.

Notes were synchronization too - until some time last year, something like mid-October. Since that time, notes don't sync. She sees always points out the way they were at this time. Notes, I've added since then do not appear. Note that I have updated has always been to see the place with old content.  For example, I see a note on my Mac (iPhone and iPad) with a release date of November 11, 2015. But the other Mac, iPhone and iPad, this same note comes with an update October 8, 2015 (and the content is different - not the same as what I have).

I checked the notes in iCloud. They are all OK: which means that synchronization works very well for my own devices.

But somehow features my wife appeared to be an old version? I tried disconnecting my account iCloud of its devices. The notes then obviously disappear. I then reconnect my account iCloud on its devices. Notes reappear. But always with their older versions.

Does anyone have an idea what could cause this?

    Thank you

What version of OS and IOS uses your wife? If you run El Capitan and IOS 9.X in Notes, you choose the upgrade to iCloud, then they will no longer be synchronized with a computer not using El Capitan and IOS 9.X, which does not have the option Update information about iCloud.

  • Why is Lightroom Creative Cloud sync on a mac so unreliable, useless and costly to fix?

I have painful issues with Lightroom on Mac synchronization.

    1 attempt to fix

The problems began when I found that mac LR had synchronized 21 k photos but then is is stuck on 800 newly imported photos. I followed the advice on this forum to remove the mobile data in Lightroom by Lightroom > Preferences > mobile Lightroom > delete all data. This removed all the 21 k on iOS devices and cloud photos and allowed me to start the Mac synchronization again. I selected a few collections to sync with the cloud and synchronize successfully a little less of 900 photos. They have appeared on the web and iOS devices. Large. I assumed everything was fine...

    Broken again

On iOS, moved some pictures of a collection to a new collection and I see Change sync between on the web. BUT it has not synchronized in LR on Mac :-(

I looked around, a little more on iOS and found that the meaning of the notes that have been defined on Mac had not arrived on iOS.

To test things more far, I changed the name of a collection on the mac, and that change was on iOS and the web. I changed a name of the collection on iOS and it synced to the web, but not the mac LR.

Thus, it seems that changes are from LR Mac synchronization for the web, but now, not the reverse. It is exactly in front of the issue I had previously.

    Possible cause?

I wonder if these problems are caused by synchronization conflicts? Maybe LR on mac had not finished its sync for iOS, and that's the reason why I could not see the significance of the notes on iOS? Maybe it stops then all other data synchronization for the pictures that he feels are in conflict? To be honest, WHO KNOWS? In 2014 we are all used to most of our applications to synchronize data between the devices. For some reason, Adobe decided to we don't give users absolutely no information on incomplete synchronization or in conflict. We just sit and attend the mess when the synchronization engine to suck and we are left in the dark and forced to wear a ridiculous action of "delete all data" to try to resolve the problem. Really, re-sycning 21 k pictures takes a lot of time and download capacity and is surely avoidable in this day and age?

Adobe, please set your synchronization engine, give users more information during synchronizations have problems and make sure that it is free and easy synchronization of pain problems. For now, I don't know what I am paying for (as I've already owned LR 5 and joined the creative cloud just for synchronization).

Right, this seems to be sorted.

With the support of the Adobe support team, I renamed it Sync.lrdata in library > Caches > Adobe > Lightroom > synchronized data

This enabled LR start a new synchronization and pulled the Cloud changes.

I found that sides of departure were still not synchronized through to iOS, so i looked and re-looked at the photos looked and this forced the significance of the notes on iOS.

Thus, it seems that at least for now it is all working. In the future, I'll rename Sync.lrdata once again, if I hit the questions, and I hope that I will not have deleted all the data on the clouds in the future.

Thanks to Adobe support for help out me

  • How can I sync my email between my mac and my iPad

I'm a Road Runner e-mail account and use Outlook on Mac.  I also have an iPad 2 Air which I just bought.  Is it possible to sync my email between my mac and my iPad?  I wish I could use my Mac or my iPad to check my email and store messages in my files.  I currently can't do this on my Mac, I don't know how to synchronize between both devices.  Did I ask for possible?

If the e-mail account can be configured as IMAP, you can add the account for both devices and they will keep in sync.

  • wireless connection between Mac printer & hp

Hi, I am unable to set up the connection between the Mac and the printer hp 1102w, known problems thereby? I couldn't figure it out through the user's Guide... Thank you

    Hi cpagliuca,

Thanks for letting me know you are using 10.6.

I'll give you the steps for 10.6, they are a little different.

Make sure that Safari is set as default browser. Sometimes, the built-in Web server will not open in other browsers.

Open Safari, at the top, select the Safari menu, select Preferences, general, as a default value.

Turn the printer off, press and hold the wireless button and cancel (x button) while turning the printer on and do not release both buttons until the printer stops making the noise.

Print a configuration report and check the SSID address and IP are disabled.
(hold down the x key and when the printer makes a noise to let go of taken)

Plug the USB cable from the printer for Mac and install the printer software.

(if it isn't already then skip this step)

Go to Apple, system preferences, print and fax.

    Double-click the P1102w.

    Open the utility.

    Click Printer Setup.

    Click config HTML.

This should open the Web built-in to the printer server.

    Click the network tab.
Click on wireless in the list on the left.
    Under Communication Mode, click Infrastructure.

Select your network SSID from the list of available network names (SSID), then click on the< button="" so="" the="" network="" name="" moves="" over="" to="" other="">
In the Safe Mode pop-up menu, under authentication, click WEP, WPA/WPA2 or open. Your selection depends on which wireless security protocol using your network.

Make sure that you select hexadecimal or alpha according to your password. (very important)

    Apply the settings.

In the confirmation box (changes have been registered), click OK.

You should get a solid blue light on the printer shortly.

All we have to do is remove the USB driver and add the network driver.

    Click on the Apple.
    Click on System Preferences.

    Click the print and fax.

Select the printer, and then click the sign - to remove the printer. (USB driver)

    Unplug the USB cable.

Then click on the + sign and select the printer from the list and click Add. (Hello p1102w)

    Test the printer.

If you have problems with the opening of HTML configuration, then perform the following steps:

    Close all applications.

In the Apple menu, click on Go, computer, MAC hard drive, library, Printers, HP, LaserJet, click the folder for your printer, click browser EWS / config HTML, click on the network tab, click on wireless on the left and fill out your information. (Make sure infrastructure is selected) Apply the settings.

Remove the USB driver, then add the network printer.

If there is anything else I can help you with just let me know.

    Good day.
    Thank you.

  • Hello, I'm already in Adobe Lightroom how to sync between my PC where I save and edit files of my work and my I phone6. Someone can tell me how to extend this synchronization to my Mc Book Air, can not quite understand.   Thank you!  Marcelo

I'm already thinking how in Adobe Lightroom for synchronization between my PC where I save and edit files of my work and my I phone6. Someone can tell me how to extend this synchronization to my Mc Book Air, can not quite understand.

    Thank you!

    Marcelo

    Marcelo,

to make it quite clear, Lightroom can't sync between two desktop computers. It can synchronize between only one computer and one or more mobile devices. Synchronization between computers has been a very requested feature, but Adobe has not given us yet. You will need to designate one of your computers as your main machine mounting and synchronization here. There are tricks to get all changes from one computer to another in phase, but these are not negligible and may corrupt catalog if you're not careful.

  • Office sync with two Macs leads to duplicate the files/folders

    Hi all

I m using MacOS Sierra sync with desktop (and documents). Logged into my account, are two Macs (Air and a MB Pro). No I find in my iCloud drive a documents folder (it's good and the documents of the MB Air folder) and in this case a "Dokumente - MacBook Pro mg" folder which is the folder documents of my MB Pro (this is not so good). This isn't what I expected, I expected to have a documents folder which is identical on both machines. Does anyone know what I need to adjust to get things clear?

    Greetings from the Germany

    Mike

I posted an article that explains all this to http://www.quecheesoftware.com/iCloud.html . This is a downloadable PDF file.

Basically, you add to the folder Documents after activation of the synchronization of the files will be synchronized as you expect. But the files that were in your Documents on several Mac folders when you switch on for the first time on the synchronization will be placed in specific subfolders to your new folder of Documents iCloud Drive device. Apple apparently felt that he could not predict how each user would want their old files organized in the folder of Documents Drive iCloud, so Apple left to each user to reorganize the file later.

I have now moved all my own files on the first level of my folder of Documents Drive iCloud and trashed the duplicate of the other device-specific folder. Now, everything syncs between computers, as expected. I left the two subfolders of specific to the device in place, either two empty for now, in case in the future that I might want to keep some files associated with one of the devices - for example, the alias files do not work on the other Mac. They will always sync in another subfolder, but at least I know to use it only on their own device.

Apple certainly could have documented it better.

  • iBooks has suddenly stopped sync between my iPhone and iPad

iBooks has suddenly stopped syncing between my 6s iPhone and iPad Mini.  Both are running iOS 9.3, and the sync was working well for several days after I updated the two devices.  The two options of synchronization (bookmarks/notes and collections) are enabled for both devices.  And no matter on which device I add a bookmark or a note. It will not synchronize with the other device.

I rebooted both devices and enabled the synchronization options, and then on again, but I was not able to run.

Any ideas as to what is happening?

    Thank you.

I'm having the same problem. I have iBooks on my iPhone, iPad and Mac and I cannot get any of them to Favorites sync. However, purchases are synchronized.

  • Adding a lock to a Note iCloud disables its ability to sync with a Mac

My Mac is upgraded to El Capitan. Synchronization for notes has been works well between my iPhone and my Mac until today when I've upgraded to iOS 9.3. Creating a new note will sync perfectly, however, once the locking function is activated (locked or not), the note refuses to sync with my Mac. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a quick fix or is this a bug with blocking of the Notes application?

I thought about it. There was a new update that came out for OS X (10.11.4) at the same time that 9.3 is released for iOS (I didn't know this earlier). OS X 10.11.4 is necessary to properly synchronize with the 9.3 lock feature, if not disappears all note active locking.

I would remove this issue, because it is no longer active, but I have no idea how to do...

  • Problem syncing between iPhone 5 (iOS 9.2.1) and iMac (OS 10.11.3)

I have a problem syncing between iPhone 5 (iOS 9.2.1) and iMac (OS 10.11.3). Purchased or updated on the iPhone apps are not copied on the iMac, during synchronization.

    Howdy Paul Peeters,

I understand that you purchase apps on your iPhone and you want to synchronize on your iMac.  For these applications automatically added to your iMac, you may want to activate the automatic downloads on the Mac.

This article explains what you see.

If your applications are not transferred from iTunes to your device after the update to iOS 9 - Apple Support

iOS 9 includes a new feature that allows you to download only the parts of a necessary application for your device. This saves the storage space on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch when you install an application that supports this feature. Update to iOS 9, iTunes is not used to restore your applications when you restore your device. Instead of this, optimized versions of your apps download from the App Store directly on your device.

If you can see the apps on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, and they seem to be waiting to download, make sure that you are connected to WiFi or Internet. Once you are connected, the optimized versions of your apps download automatically to your device.

Similarly, applications that you add to your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch won't sync or transfer to iTunes on your computer. If you want to download apps from iTunes, turn on automatic downloads in iTunes preferences. You can also download previously purchased apps to iTunes.

    Best regards

  • wireless sync problems

Hi guys, I hope one of you can help me with what I could not find anything on gogle yet.

I am trying to set up synchronization between the z2 and my PC wireless, I had previously done this correctly then had to perform a factory reset on the phone and now its is no longer functional.

The problem is that my pc does not appear in the field of USB connectivity in the settings, but when I try to pair I get the following message: "the pc is paired with your phone. To set up the devices again, delete pairing. »

Although there is no place on the phone I can find to unpair. However, I see my name of the PC under the option launch and in smart connect... thougb I'm not sure wether this has nothing to do with the wireless sync, and in any case I don't see a way to remove these pairings either.

I tried to present re - install the sony pc companion app and got the same messages again.

Any input or help will be greatly appreciated

OK, so finally, there is a file in the root of the internal phone storage named (laptop) that is the name of my PC. Once I moved the file to another folder and tried pairing again everything went well, and a new "LAPTOP" file has been created.

So everything now works as it should. Thanks for your promt help Johan
