  Here is the version of the Lightscribe software that Microsoft is compatible with Win 8.  I am not sure if HP has made changes to their readers, but otherwise, this should work for you.

• Don't have a privilege sufficient to unintall program

  I'm trying to uninstall a program, "Lightscribe" but windows tells me I don't have sufficient privileges.  I am the only user on the computer.  Why can't I choose what programs remove it from my computer?

  Find LS_HSI.msi file in the Lightscribe folder (usually in c:\program files LightScribe). Right click and select "run as administrator". Which should elevate your privileges sufficient to uninstall.

• Software LightScribe complains that Windows 8 Pro "operating system is not adequate for running Lightscribe"! It is important labeling CD and DVD Microsoft software!

  When you try to install the template or simple labeler, the following error message is given: "the operating system is not enough for running Lightscribe".

  To install the software/program in Windows 7 compatibility mode, right-click on the configuration file and click Troubleshot compatibility, and then select Windows 7 and follow the prompt.

• Compaq Presario 2029UK: display crashed after update to windows 10

  Hello

  I just upgraded to windows 7 to windows 10 and my screen is crushed, regardless which data resolutions I choose.

  When I look at the map it reads as follows: Microsoft Basic graphics card.

  I checked for updates and two windows and display card driver back the message that they are up-to-date.

  When I go to the HP site to download a driver, the only driver to my PC is a lightscribe one. Nothing for the graphics card.

  Does anyone know whre I can download a driver to solve the problem, or if there isn't one, how can I get my resolution to be what it was (I don't know what it was but I know that it is not available now).

  My screen is a LG Flatron E1940-S-AP

  The problem you are having is that Windows has installed a generic graphics driver, so you can see the screen and not much more.

  There is no w8.1 or W10 graphics driver for the graphics card to your PC.

  Your model is a desktop Compaq Presario Media Center SR2029UK PC?

  If so, see if you can manually install the latest Nvidia graphic driver and run the W10.

  First of all, download and install this free utility for files.  The 2nd listed file is 64-bit.

  http://www.7-zip.org/

  Then download, save, but do not run this graphics driver.

  http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/82758/en-us

  After downloading the above graphic driver file, right-click on it and select 7 - Zip from the list of options.

  Have 7-Zip extract of: and leave it to decompress the file in its folder.

  Go to Device Manager, and then click to expand the category of device of graphics cards.

  Click on the graphics card of Microsoft Basic.

  Click the driver tab.  Click on set to update driver.  Select her browse my computer for driver software option and find the driver 7-zip created folder.

  Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and see if the graphics driver installed.

  Restart the PC.

  Considering how long Windows XP has been supported, I can say that Windows 7 will be around and supported by Microsoft for a number of years to come.

  There is no driver Windows 8 on the web support portal in the section to download the driver to your desktop PC Pavilion Elite HPE-150ff.  This should be a prime consideration in the upgrade or replace the decision. Your current system is fine, but given the fact that it is from the 2009 models, for safety data and your peace of mind, I recommend you to upgrade in the year. Four or five years for a home PC is an expectation of reasonable product life cycle.  After that, it may or may not work as expected. It would also be a good idea to save your photos on an external drive. If you buy a new PC with Windows 8 Pro as operating system, Media Center is included in the purchase.

  Upgrade for laptops running Windows 8 Media Centeris relatively expensive, but not free. You can download and use the version of Microsoft Office 2013 start free. This is the replacement for Microsoft Works.

  someone can answer my question please, when I first bought this desktop computer in April 2010 labeling software Lightscribe disc was pre installed, Lightscribe start-up, Direct disc Labeling, Lightscribe Public SDK, Lightscribe Control Panel, utility window diagnostic of Lightscribe, lightscribe labeler of simple drive Lightscribe Lightscribe demo site, I could click on any one of these and they would take me to the site where I could download the updates and new drive models labelling, I used them several times during my own films.

  Now when I click on the links I get a 404 message, it is still on my laptop husband who bought at the same time and it can burn its records with the models.

  I downloaded the trial version of Audio Labeler, but they want me to pay for the models, I always have my username and password for Lightscribe but can't find it anywhere.

  I contacted Labeler Audio on the forum here and they say that HP holds the license for Lightscribe for life, but they have no record of my user name and password, at the end of 14 days, I'll have to no longer use of the Audio unless labeling software I buy it. How can I get my own Lightscribe return? If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it.

  Just bought a new desktop PC Pavilion HPE h8-1170uk and cannot get the LightScribe to work. Help States: launch Cyberlink LabelPrint and choose the LightScribe option, but this option is not there.   I n an HP Pavilion Slimline s5122f. My lightscribe drive has stopped working properly. It is impossible to reach the correct rotation speed. I bought a new lightscribe drive to replace it. However, when I opened the box of the new command, I was surprised that the white cube at the entrance in the supply (next to the Sata connectors) cable was not there.

  I'm sorry feel you the way you do and think that I don't understand. However, I completely understand what you're asking, and that's why I asked for full names of brands and model numbers of readers and close-up photos as well.

  Yet once, referring to the guide of HP 'replacement of a CD or DVD disc' for your specific computer, you will notice that "Step 3"shows a picture of the back of a CD/DVD drive with a description of each connector;

  1 - eject or control cable (not available for some readers)
  2 - power cable
  3 - data cable

  

  NOTE: Your car may have three or two cables. Ejection or control cable may not be available if the drive does not require cable.

  This image is identical to your original factory drive as shown on the "side-by-side photo Note Although on your photo, two readers of CD/DVD 'SATA Data (S1 - S7)' and connectors "SATA Power (P1 - P15). This is all that is required to use the CD/DVD drive. The semi-cable optionally connector 'Eject or control' is used on some HP Slimline models to eject the drawer and is connected to the "Eject" button that is directly under the CD/DVD drive. While it would be nice to keep this feature, it is not necessary and does not support this option in your case not available as long as the new drive.
