  I'm a Mac user, by nature, but I had to switch to Windows because of the disability. I type this right now using Dragon NaturallySpeaking because I can use is no longer my left arm, so I had a lot to get used to, I'm still working on it. My Macintosh is dying slowly so that makes the proper process, but I have questions. My email works sporadically on the Mac and pretty much on the Dell but sometimes e-mails come in on the Mac and they do not come on the Dell. Both are formatted to the same e-mail address then why some emails would not come on the Dell? I'm having a lot of trouble with Outlook, but it's the one I use because of capabilities of Dragon I think it is a terribly heavy program and I do not use most of the features. I only use email, but email is required, that it is part of my career. I'm a writer, I'm learning Outlook 2010, but I don't know a lot of things so I'll ask you guys such things as what is email not come sometimes? I know how to block a sender thank God because I get a lot of spam but but I don't know how do to put someone on a safe list is easy to do? I forgot something? All my Mac if you were not in my address book you went straight in the Junk folder that I found serious and I was always having to rummage through the junk e-mail folder for possible acceptable e-mail on the Mac so I don't want to make a rule like that on the Dell.I want to put some people on a list of contacts that I know I get emails from them. • The Outbox email stuck in Outlook 2010 with 80 MB of video. Cannot remove.

  I have an email with a 80 MB video file that is stuck in my Outbox of MS Outlook 2010.  I tried going to 'Work offline' to delete, but will not remove.  I tried to restart Outlook while 'offline' and Outlook itself does not open when I click the icon in my taskbar, and I can't find the program ranked among the '' programs. ''  I searched with the windows tool to search for the file and I can find it on a search list, but it has no path of file so that I can see exactly where it is.  If I left click on the icon that appears in the search, he takes me to the email in Outlook.  If I right click to get a window with options like delete, there is no popup window.

  In short, I can't delete this item in Outlook and I can't find a way outside of Outlook to locate and delete.  Outlook keeps trying to send the file everytime I open the program and I keep telling myself that he can't touch the file because it is 'send.'  Now you can guess where I would like to send the file.

  In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

  With OE closed, find the DBX files for the items in the Outbox and sent and delete them.  New ones will be created automatically when you open OE.

  After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.

  Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.

  General precautions for Outlook Express:

  Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

  Have a few email addresses for different website that I own.

  They are on different hosts in the United Kingdom and the United States.

  I did have a problem with receiving or sending emails using outlook 2007 via these addresses with my setup current over the last 4 years in many different countries, European and Asian.

  I'm in Australia, using a via Bigpond wireless connection, I can receive emails from all my usual account, but cannot send an email using one of my addresses using outlook.

  When I test the settings, I get the following error:

  Send a test e-mail message: Outlook cannot connect to your server for outgoing (SMTP) mail. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or the ISP (ISP).

  I contacted Bigpond (ISP) and they stated that as I can connect to the internet and receive emails the problem with not with them.

  I would be very grateful for any help, thanks in advance

  Many Internet service providers don't allow you to connect to their mail servers unless you are on their network.  If you are not using a Bigpond network connection but tries to connect to the Bigpond mail server and uses the standard port 25 of the SMTP outgoing server, then this is probably your problem.  Usually, is authenticating with the server coming out and using a protected port 465 or 587 is required.  Authenticate you on the outgoing server and uses one port other than 25?

  If you're running Vista, you have Windows Mail, not Outlook Express. These instructions for adjustment of these two programs.

  To create a group of contacts:

  You can create a single group name (or alias) to use when sending a message to several contacts at the same time. Just create a group name and add individual contacts to the group. Then just type the name of the group in the box for when you send mail.

  1. in the address book, select the folder in which you want to create a group. Click New in the toolbar, and then click New Group.
  2. the Properties dialog box opens. In the group name box, type the name of the group.
  3. There are several ways to add people to the Group:
  a. to add a person from your address book list, click Select members, and then click a name in the address book list.
  (b) to add a person directly to the group without adding the name to your address book, type the person's name and e-mail address at the bottom of the Properties dialog box and then click Add.
  to add a person to both the Group and your address book, click New Contact and enter the appropriate information.
  (d) to use a directory service, click Select members, and then click search. Select a directory service in the drop-down list at the end of the text box. After finding and selecting an address, it is automatically added to your address book.

  a. to view a list of your groups separately from the list of address book in the address book on the view menu, make sure that folders and groups is selected.
   
  b. you can create multiple groups, and contacts can belong to several groups.

  If you want to send to a group without addresses are displayed for each recipient, open the address book and make a new entry. Enter the name of the group in the area of the display, but use your address. (Some Internet service providers require a legitimate address in the line to and recipients will know it's from the Group).
