For some reason, I can only reduce my volume to 25%, or increase the volume to 75%. Last week worked well! Only since the latest updates.
I'm guessing that you receive automatic updates of Windows?
Sometimes a driver may be installed which is not as
compatible with your system than the previous version.
You can try to do a system restore to an hour before
the updates have been installed, or you could try to roll back
the audio driver.

If they are .mp3 files MP3Gain allows you to normalize the volume, but it does not work on .wma, .flac, ogg or .wav.
SanDisk music players do not have a low volume; although on the contrary actually... unless you live in Europe or otherwise to give Europe in your region on the player. The EU has a ceiling of the defined benefits that all manufacturers of audio devices must meet in order to be able to sell their products in these countries.
That being said, if you live in Europe there is a way around this limitation of volume.
Eager to use this drive with a stereo system or large speakers, however, you must understand that this puts milli-watts of power. Enough for headsets or some phones, but it has not designed or equipped to do much else. It may need assistance in the form of speakers, a socket AUX in on your Hi-Fi (in order to tap into the amplifier it), or a headphone amp.

I just bought a hp envy m6-1105dx (windows 8) yesterday and I was put in place, I realized that the volume of the music in winamp told fort suddenly and they went there. It happens with all the songs. I downloaded the new drivers but the problem is still there. I've read about this problem in other types of laptops want to, but I don't see anything about my portable individual. Any help will be appreciated. This problem is started to irritate me.

If a lot, you have problems with you audio just follow these steps:
Follow these steps:
(1) press on [Windows] + [X] on your keyboard and go to Device Manager
(2) go to the sound, video and game controllers
3) click IDT High Definition Audio CODEC
4) click on the driver tab
5) click put updated driver
(6) select Browse my computer for driver software
(7) select Let me pick from a list of device driver on my computer
(8) select it Audio device high definition
(9) to read the warning and click Yes if you understand the risk
(10) restart the computer
When your computer restarts:
1) click on the Control of the Volume (speaker) in the bottom right of the taskbar.
2) click on speakers
3) click on the enhancements tab
(4) If you do not know a lot about audio and to help prevent speakers, earphones, ear lesions, click the Equalization of the volume and click settings, and then move the slider to 3/5-4/5 in the direction of Long, then click OK and apply
5) enjoy its AWESOME.
BE CAREFUL, the sound of unlocked chip IDT is VERY STRONG, and based on my experience in audio engineering, I wouldn't recommend listening to it more 45% volume without the Equalization of the volume turned on. I'm listening to a modern CD and without the limiter and compressor, 50% by volume, border level EAR ENDOMMAGEANT level on my helmet. Also, without the pre-installed, limiter high volume CAN DAMAGE YOUR SPEAKERS.
A little bit of my solution:
This solution essentially replaces the IDT pilot with a Microsoft driver. If you damage your laptop using, your warranty may does not cover repairs, so please, please, please use the limiter or prudent. On the same note, don't damage you either; hearing loss is very difficult to self-diagnose, because you lose hearing gradually by the loss of sensitivity to higher frequencies. It is not 'feel' special, just somehow, you notice that you stopped to hear the singing of the birds and leaves rustling a day, in order not to blow your music.
Finally, I'll probably revisit this solution some time, as I prefer to use the IDT pilot and have my EQ work. This is possible through the IDT folder in Program Files and hacking essentially parameter files in a text editor, but it is rather tedious and complicated.

Comcast DTA severely limits media center TV volume on two of my computers
I completed the installation of the Comcast DTA on two computers and successfully installed the IR blaster to be able to use the Media Center remote and the cable guide. However, the audio of TV is severely limited. The comcast tech came out and said I should use the DTA as a tuner and its remote control. Yes the volume comes back, but then I can't use all the Media Center including DVR functionality.
Why the DTA is screwing the audio of the TV through Media Center?

Futoli, thanks for the reply, but I think I found the problem with my own checks.
It had to do with Beats Audio, which apparently was not lit. This has been fixed by typing Fn + b Volume is now very well

How to increase the control limits for the Audio Volume?
I have upgraded my PC base unit and no longer have the output of the Speaker Volume I had before. The audio output is more silent than before with the same speakers I used. I have moved all the sliders on the control panel of the Volume on their maximum position, but still can't get enough of output to the speakers. The important thing is for my use are 'Volume Control' and 'Wave', and these are set to the maximum. Now I have a motherboard with Intel D845GERG2 Intel i845GE chipset. The operating system is Windows XP Professional SP3, as previously. The sound card is SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio with Legacy audio drivers. I checked using Device Manager drivers and hardware to work properly. The problem is software because I can achieve the required high speaker volume if I use VLC Media Player and set the volume to 200%. With Windows Media Player, set the volume to 100% is sufficient. I'm looking to increase range parameter on the control panel of Volume as a general solution. Can you advise if this is possible? I looked at a few ideas, these courses: edit files (.inf) SoundMAX driver. Modify the registry keys concerned. Use different audio drivers (none seem to be available for my hardware). Install the software to boost the audio output (VLC Media Player should be achieve this somehow). Install alternative (rollback) Microsoft drivers. Any advice would be much appreciated.
Just an update of my efforts on this issue.
I revisited the audio registry settings SoundMAX for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Class\ \0005\Settings {4D36E96C-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}. These are installed when you install the driver for SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio. Changing these settings has already failed to get an increase of output audio volume. I have now found some settings of the value of these registry keys that have given me a satisfactory increase in the volume of the audio. In short, the cure for my situation was:
The file source (wdm3516b_Cadenza.exe) driver available from the Download Center Intel is a self-extracting ZIP file. Unzip this file to a location convenient temporary store (C:\Temp)
Use a text editor (Notepad) to edit the INF of the driver - in my case, it's "smwdmCH4.inf. Changes to this file cause the digital signature of the file to be invalid, but choose "Continue Anyway" to solve this problem during the installation of the driver. To increase the sound volume levels, the audio volume registry key value parameters that have been predefined 08 (hex) have been changed to 01 (hex). I suppose that this change dB levels produced by the SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio.
To install the new settings:
Uninstall the SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio hardware by using Device Manager.
Restart the PC - this should give a "new hardware found" restart of the PC.
Use Device Manager to reinstall the driver for SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio. Do not use the automatic selections for this - run the installation process where you stored the INF driver edited file.
Once installation is complete, a check on the properties of the device must indicate that the device is functioning properly.
Use regedit to check that changes in the edited file driver INF appeared in the area of the Windows registry - in my case, it is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Class\ {4D36E96C-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} \0005\Settings.
I will emphasize that it is NOT a recommended fix - it turns out that it worked for me. The usual caveats apply - save your original settings, or better yet, use software disk image to make a copy of your drive hard so that you go back to square one if she's going "pear-shaped" with adaptations that have been made.

Limitation of the App Scripts? By volume by number of invocations or calls...
I have a situation where I'm going to an auto attendant script with several menus and according to the chosen option, it will redirect you to the appropriate Department Routepoint. Also, the caller can call the local/long distance number that is mapped to the RPs to the Department or the Routepoint itself (for most of the internal people).
Each RP has a queue associated with. The flow of calls for all RPS is exactly the same. The only variation in the script is voicemail ext, name of the queue of the Department, guests etc. I can create a script, set all variables and when downloading in CRS Admin, can assign values to the parameters.
My question is, does the script no limitation in terms of number of calls they can handle? Which means, if I have a script to assign different parameters and if several callers call different departments, the same will triggered with different values of parameters of script, but it will crash after "x" number of calls or 'x' number of invocations?
Any ideas would be useful. Otherwise, I can copy the same script, rename and associate with his RP of the Department but if I make a change in one place, I have to change in other locations. My goal is to reuse code, to reduce to a minimum the number of scripts and create a single sophisticated script.

This should not be a problem. The only issue you might encounter would be with regard to the preparation of reports. You want to make sure that you are defining your types of appeal, after defining the routing logic you so that you can report on calls to every other Department.

Unfortunately there is no way to prioritize the networks if that's what you're looking for. If you want on the other, you might forget the network and join them later as you wish.

Not really. The only application I know who has a limiter is Hear and it does not work with Safari. AdBlockers can help and if you mean literally popups popup blocking enabled in Safari security preferences. Otherwise, no.

When I apply a limiter, the volume of the video clips but the volume does not work. I don't hear any sound distortion (I use only my iMac speakers...). Is this right? What happened when clip is "yellow"?
Rely on the counters, not the waveforms. Waveforms are a general representation, is not that precise. The level of a simple clips is specific level of this clip. But, when you have other clips playing at the same time, even if they are all limited to the same peak decibel level, the overall volume will increase. Audio is cumulative, as in a source at-6 dB is - 6db. Two clips at-6 DB will be around in 3db(-ish) or in this neighbourhood. So if you have two or more audio sources playing at once, the two must be pulled down a bit below what you want the Pb of the resulting overall to be art. Also, for some reason, I find the limiters within FCPX to act oddly, unlike what is happening inside Logic Pro and other audio applications that use Audio plugins.

How to limit the volume of the speakers on iPad
This is more a request to Apple than a question.
My friend's son is autistic and loves its iPads, the bad news is that he likes to full volume. And while he will turn them down on request, 5 seconds later it has in turn it back to 100%. I've seen an app that limits the volume, but it is awkward and should be run to have any effect.
I have, as I'm guessing that MANY other iOS users would like TO see a limit speaker volume in the parameter s iPad app. I think that would benefit users amy especially how the iPad is spread in schools and people with special needs who could not enjoy or know what means reasonable volume level.
This my Apple, it's easy. Please make this change and help a huge part of your user base!

HP Pavilion dv6-1375dx: limited connectivity (not), wired or wireless HP Pavilion dv6-1375dx
Without internet (metered) either wired or wireless using HP Pavilion dv6-1375dx. Cables and other wireless devices work fine on a home network/router.
Found some flags on the NIC in "Device Manager" but uninstalled and reinstalled and flags went. All devices report now works without error.
Have tried to start in safe mode with network (without help).
Uninstalled the software Bitdefender Total Security 2016: malware, spyware, firewall, antivirus (without help).
Turn on the Windows Firewall WILL NOT!
Emptying the cache TCP/IP (without help).
Have tried msconfig (to eliminate any startup) and the minimal system of windows (without help).
Tried to update device drivers by downloading from another PC and copy the files (no help, even pilot).
Tried several fixes to 'Register' solutions (without help).
Scanned with several "fix connection" or adware/spyware/malware programs (without help).
Have tried all the above several times, so please do not contact me to "try again". If your idea is not new, it won't help.
I am subject to the point that I believe that the network card is bad, even if it makes good.

Sony Walkman D-don't 241 broke out, got a new identical but now the front lower average volume
My grandmother bought a reader of CD Walkman Sony D-NE241 less than two years who has worked flawlessly until it broke. He has been replaced by an identical device that plays very well the CD, but the volume is very low. Even at the highest volume possible, it is average lower on the previous unit. Is this a known issue? My father suggested it might be a law which forbade the loud CD player that could be takrn into force after the first unit was purchased.

It may be possible that the AVLS (automatic Volume limiter system) of the Walkman player is activated. The AVLS function limits the maximum volume level in order to protect listeners hearing. The default setting for the AVLS function is turned on and displayed on the LCD when the volume has reached the maximum level allowed by the AVLS function.
Sony D-NE241 is not sold in North America. You can contact Sony support in your country for more information on the functions available in the CD Walkman player and for known problems.

High volume = video jerky on my P300-31i

I copied a few videos from Sony (Mini-DV) camcorder via the Firewire connection on my machine.
Image and sound quality... usually brilliant!
However some scenes include high volume music (in a case from a choir in a church and the other a 'disco' with a load of children dancing). In both cases, I noticed that the volume has increased the video began to become jerky and freeze periodically. At first I thought that the problem was with the files but I found if I turned off the volume on my computer has become smooth image with no stutters at all (by chance). Then I found that I could increase the volume up to 30-40% and the image was reasonably smooth with only the odd momentary gel.
In conclusion, nothing wrong with the files (avoid in any case), but something wrong with my computer (or at least it has a severe limitation) that I can't play those avi files at full volume.
I'm not a fan of computer, so all I could think to do was watch CPU useage while the video I did played by using the Task Manager - while the video was in use between 9 and 12% CPU.
Grateful for any help that I can enjoy the full glory of these videos on my machine, especially choral bits.

Disc 1-a USB3 seems definitely too slow, at least in size 2.5 ".
2 - an external USB3 SSD would be ok?
3. or a CF card into the CF slot would be a faster, it can be used as an SSD? (but the capacity is limited)
4 - is the SSD Thunderbolt, the only viable solution? (but expensive, and only one port is taken by the monitor and the other by the adapter Ethernet and USB3)
should 5 - or I better put the money aside to double the internal SSD capacity and have two volumes on this?
6 - the crazy part: is there a safe way to have two BONE fusion to the same user folder? Or even using the same App folder?... .probably impracticable.
