  Hi all

  We plan to install EAL for HFM on EMP 11.1.2.4 environment.

  AFAIK, there is no installation of EAL on delivery for EMP 11.1.2.4 files.

  "as per Mead Rittman Consulting" install Essbase Analytics link for HFM 11.1.2.3

  It seems that we can use for HFM 11.1.2.2 for EMP 11.1.2.3 EAL.

  I wonder if we can use the same version of EAL of EPM 11.1.2.4?

• Unable to see the link Analytics Server option in EA

  Hi all
  
  We installed and configured EAL 11.1.1 on our server. We have no error but now when connect us to EAS, we are unable to see the new EAL (Server Analytics link) option in the Regional service console.

• Install the link Analytics Essbase of Hyperion Financial Management

  Could someone help me please with information on how to install the Essbase Analytics for HFM 1.1.1.4 link. I did the following without success;
  
  1 downloaded metalink 11.2.0.3 YES, this is the 32-bit version
  Downloaded 2 EAL for HFM, the 64-bit version.
  3 extract the download to the same location.
  4 installed YES the server successfully.
  5 launched YES in the start menu a managed to find the products.xml file required to install EAL...
  
  Problem - there is no option for me to put in the EAL installation details and if I continue with the process he reinstalls just YES. Is that all that I'm missing?
  
  Help, please. The operating system in Win2008 64. This server has foundation, hfm, Essbase, planning, reporting and analysis etc. on it. The version is 11.1.2.1

• Has anyone been able to Stand Up Essbase Analytics link (EAL) for financial management in version 11.1.2.2?

  Anyone no matter what chance standing places the link Analytics Essbase (EAL) for the purposes of financial management in 11.1.2.2?  We are at the point where when you click on 'Create the Bridge Application' it creates an application and a database in the EA and then blocks the Hyperion Essbase Analytics Link - Web Application Server.  Before this we were receiving an error NetRetry and NetDelay and increased, these parameters are do not receive the same mistakes.  I'm curious to know if 11.1.2.2 there's even a functional version of EAL or if we are out of luck until the next version.  Any comment is appreciated.

  FYI, we were able to raise the EAL and running after adding the following entries in the registry on our servers...

  Solution

  This timeout issue can be fixed by adding two TCP/IP registry settings, but first you must identify the customer who communicated with essbase when the time-out period exceeded so that you know which machine to add the settings.  If all the EAL and EMP components are installed on a single machine, while the machine would also host the client.  If the products are installed in a distributed environment, you determine the client machine depending on how the Essbase EAL server component is defined.

  The URL of the APS is part of the Analytics Server Essbase in EAL definition link.

  If (APS URL) value is "incorporated" means that the application EAL server communicates via the JAPI directly with the Essbase server. In this case the EAL AppServer is the client to the Essbase server. In this case, the following registry settings tcpip need to go on the computer running the application EAL server.

  If the value of (APS URL) is http://serverName:13080/aps/JAPI then the EAL Application Server communicates by way of Hyperion provider of Services (APS). In this case queries EAL proxies to and from the Essbase by APS Server. This means that the APS is the client to the Essbase server and registry settings tcpip need to go on the machine running Hyperion service provider.

  Once you have determined what machine acts as a customer of essbase, set the TcpTimedWaitDelay = 30 and MaxUserPort = 65534 settings via the windows registry.

  1. open the Windows registry.

  2. go in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\TCPIP\Parameters.

  3. Add the new DWORD value named "TcpTimedWaitDelay.
  -Right click and select Edit
  -Select "decimal" radio button, type 30.

  4. Add the new DWORD value called MaxUserPort
  -Right click and select Edit
  -Select "decimal" radio button, type 65534

  5. a server restart is necessary.

  Trying to create a transparent wall.

  Source is EAL cube - Cube created through link Analytics of HFM

  Source target n - @Idescendents of all Member areas.

  No mappings defined.

  Validation works fine just thinking that it seems to me a message saying "Partition Creation failed."

  can you do a quick check on both the database

  -any other partition exists
  -all active connections on two databases if yes to disconnect all users with force

  then create back partition and if still the problem can share you the essbase so logs.

• Can be used with HFM (11.1.1.3.500) EAL to feed Essbase (11.1.2.2.300)?

  I'm trying to find out if there are known issues with EAL HFM (11.1.1.3.500) to feed Essbase (11.1.2.2.300).
  Out-of-the-box integrations work without problem, or is a required custom development?
  
  The module link analytics from what I can tell, is documentation of FM, makes me believe that we would use EAL 11.1.1.3.500?
  Thinking this way is all the information I can find always speaks of EAL for HFM (version #), he seems to be driven by the HFM version #.

• OBIEE 11.1.1.9 missing link administration in analytics

  I did OBIEE repository/catalogue 10g upgrade to 11.1.1.9. It lacks the user WebLogic Administration link and another user with privileges of BI.

  I can create/edit/analytical reports, run dashboard reports. I am using 10g style authentication and applying roles of a table using initialization block.

  This does not work as expected. I can see Administrator role BI under my account-> roles and groups of catalog. Same worked well when the upgrade to 11.1.1.7.

  If the link was missing in 11g 7, I tried analytics/saw.dll? ManageGroups URL, it worked. Now, if I try the same thing in 11g 9 I get error "unauthorized".

  I tried to create the same administrator user as in 10 g with the BI Administrator role. Did not work.

  I gave BI administrator rights in role to the catalog in Catalog Manager also including presentation Service Admin who was by default.

  Please can anyone suggest what else can be done. Appreciate your time and assistance.

  I installed OBIEE 11 on linux 6.1 when the installation is finished, he opened the analytical with url page http://myserver:9502 / Analytics . • Location of the repository for the link (EAL) Essbase Analytics settings?

  In Essbase Analytics link (EAL), where are the Repository EAL parameters stored?  I think I saw a param or .ini file, but I can't seem to locate it in the application directory.  I try to find it, because I've reconfigured EAL to use another database for the repository, but that it always points to the original database in spite of what the configuration tool shows.

  You must update the JDBC information stored in WebLogic if the web application is not redeployed, you can change the source of data through the weblogic administration console or go to \user_projects\domains\EPMSystem\config\jdbc\EAL_Repository-xxxx-jdbc.xml
