No sound from front headphone jack

Just installed Creative blaster x - fi titanium sound card in my desktop HP P7 1234.  Everything works fine except no sound from the front headphone jack.  The jacdk worked until I installed the card.  I need the decision-making to use as another line for around the music of the pool.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Thank you

Jay

If you install a card its additrional you can only use this smart - card ports on Board will be disabled.
You need to check if you can connect the ports of the façade to the new card - otherwise you will get a card where it would work.

Or simply use an audio splitter (Y-cable) to connect a second audio device to the new card.

  • B120, no sound from speakers, headphones ok.

Got a B120 with XP and SP2 re-installed.  I have no sound from the internal speakers, but the headphone jack works fine.  The speakers work (checked with Dell Diagnostics); played well from there, every time.  Side note - Ubuntu 8.04 live no longer had his No.

Sometimes I get a notification of the popup of Sigmatel (something about and audio event this - as I plug something at one of the outlets when I did not.)  I usually just select 'status quo '.

I've scoured the forums and read posts on installing drivers in the correct order.  I tried to uninstall the drivers and related software files so I could continue on their relocation in order.  But, what is happening on the re-start, is that it starts automatically install hardware "found," so I don't get to put them in the order I want. How could avoid this or how do I UN-install/reinstall drivers more effectively.

When I look in the hardware Manager, everyting seems to be good... except that I get no sound from the speakers.  Sigmatel hardware is selected, sliders are at midway up, nothing is muted, select a system of his event and he seems to play but without sound.

  • Aurora-R5, noise static front headphone jack

    Hello community!

Dell-people, please let us know how to fix/get rid of static noise, which came from headset before 3.5 mm jack when playing sounds. I understand that the only cure is to sound support and Dell allows you to send a technician to replace the defective usb/headphone Panel? Please come with an answer, many owners of r5 have this same problem.

The solution is to get a replacement of equipment.  That's what happened with me, and it worked.  Don't wait at all.

Exercise the functions mentioned below to set the headset as default:

    Hello Vesrox,

Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the Forums of HP, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the Forums HP first time here? Learn how to publish and more. I understand that the headphone jack on the top of your computer is not recognizing what is connected, and I'd be happy to help you! To start, I have to ask you a few questions:

    • What is product and model number from your desktop?
    • What version of Windows you have installed on your computer?
    • Are you able to produce sound from the headphone jack on the back of the computer?
    • Has your computer finished all his important updates from Windows?
    • Have you updated your drivers from HP the HP SupportWizard?
    • Is this a recent or current program?
    • You are able to recognize USB devices on top of your computer, where the plug headphones on it?

In the meantime, I recommend that you follow this document on the no sound on speakers (Windows 8). This should help to produce a sound of the headphonejack on the top of your desktop.

    Hi kathrynpelling,

    ·         Do you mean that you hear only through the headphones?

Method 1: If so, then check if the laptop speakers are set by default.

    a. click on start and then Control Panel.

    b. double-click on sounds and Audio devices.

    c. click on the Audio tab.

    d. make sure that you select the speakers from the laptop as default device in audio playback.

    e. do the same under the voice tab click OK.

  • Fixing headphone jack, or use another thing?

    1. Compaq CQ2014 desktop computer; 2 Win7 Home Premium 64; 3. no; 4. transfer data (not Windows system) to old hard drive.

Our front headphone jack seems to be broken or defective. Several headphones connected that barely register in the Realtek HD Audio Manager included console, or not at all; When they work, the sound is either in the left ear only, or mono. Before USB plugs and connections in the back seem OK.

Saw the Microphone/headset combos which plug into USB (~ $ 22)... that would be compatible with the Realtek system? Alternative seems to be the entire Tower shipped for warranty service in another State that would take days, after we have already lost some weeks that followed the disaster with the old computer which requires obtaining of it.

    Hello

In my view, the replacement of the FRONT plug is a piece of cake. BACK is sloldered to the motherboard, but the front is not just the cables and the plug itself (unless the case is a fantasy).

    Good luck

  • I have no sound card, so, how can I get the sound to the headphone,

I had to reload XP on my Dell T3400. I don't have a card's equipped. I used to listen to music through the headset by using media player. Now the media player won't say I have no sound card, which I did not.

I am able not to circumvent the "no sound card" and send sound to the headphone jack or better yet, Jack green at the back of the computer.  It used to work before I formatted, but I don't know what I did before.
    Thank you very much

I solved the problem. I have downloaded a driver sound (Soundmax) and now it works fine.
