List of exceptions of the blocker is disabled at startup of Firefox 3.6.12.

Whenever I have allow pop-ups for a website, the specification to allow block pop-ups for this Web site is lost after reboot. For example, when you start Firefox, the blocker exceptions list is empty.

Make sure that you do not remove the navigation, search and download history on Firefox to clear the "Site preferences".

"Site Préférences" in "Clear recent history" of compensation will remove the exceptions that are stored in the content - prefs.sqlite (specific site for zoom settings) and permissions.sqlite (exceptions for images, cookies, pop ups, software; Tools > Page Info > permissions) in the profile folder.

The exceptions of password (Tools > Options > Security: passwords: display the passwords) are also removed from the signons.sqlite.

    The file "permissions.sqlite" stores exceptions 'allow' and 'block' for cookies, images, pop-up windows and installation of extensions (software).

  • How can I stop my list of exceptions of the cookie to be changed programmatically?

    I never accept cookies from Firefox, and I have a list of exceptions specifically allowing cookies from sites of my choice. Problem is this exception list is somehow expanded with sites that I didn't understand, and in some cases, the sites that I've blocked more precisely. For example, I explicitly blocked cookies from Google. Yet, when I check the list, I find the rule I entered the blocking of Google and a new rule that I go by specifying that Google may drop of only first party cookies.

    Question: Which (apart from me, the user) is allowed to expand the list of exceptions and why? Seems to me that what makes the promise of the list almost worthless.

    I am running Firefox 33.1.1.

  • FF removes the list of exceptions of the cookie whenever the browser closes.

    For about a month, I had intermittent problems with FF dumping the cookie exceptions list whenever the browser closes. Initially, I had a very long list of exceptions and noticed a few weeks he was now totally blank.

    After I discovered the problem, I checked to make sure that I don't have a "site preferences" checked in the options to clear the history of FF when closing. I also tried to delete the file prefs.js, thinking that he might have become corrupted.

    I thought that the problem has resolved itself - although I could never get my initial list of exceptions, but since a week or more, exceptions have not changed when I closed. However, after having FF set to day yesterday to 23.0.1, the list of exceptions authorized himself again. Now, whenever I close the browser, export the list again.

    Any suggestions? I have a long list of sites I would rather not use cookies and and I'm quite frustrated to have to re-create again and again.

    You are welcome.

  • Satellite L300D will not recognize USB drive, except if the WIFI is disabled

    I have a venerable L300D Satellite under Vista SP2. I also have a Fujitsu 40 GB SATA HDD of my old laptop in a USB2.0 caddy, with double USB plugs to require more current.

    I can sign in successfully caddy USB to my laptop Windows 7 via a simple USB port on a USB 2.0 so I know it works.

    On the Satellite L300D, it implements the Generic USB drive in Device Manager, but does not record the 2 disk partitions in the storage of files in Windows Explorer. In fact when you try and expand the COMPUTER in the Explorer it times out.

    I noticed that the WLAN (Realtek TL8187B) is on the same USB 2.0 controller, so I disabled it. It turned off my wireless, but immediately the Windows Explorer was shot in life and I could access partitions (D:, and G :) may even run the check disk (no failures) and Defrag. As soon as I turn ON the WLAN driver disc fails to register.

    I've updated the Realtek drivers on the Toshiba web site but I want a solution that allows me to use the disc AND the WIFI network at the same time.

    Someone at - it ideas?

    Hello Colin

    Have you started using your laptop with the original version of Vista that you got with your laptop?

    I use Toshiba laptops for a long time now but I've never noticed this issue although I use external hard drives and USB keys quite often.
    Since when did you notice this kind of behavior? To be honest, I can't imagine that this problem persists since the day where we as original recovery image is tested and something like that should not happen. Maybe some updates may be responsible for this.

    Trying to remove driver WLAN, reinstall the chipset driver and reinstall WLAN driver. After doing this test he has once again please and send feedback.

    Can I use keyboard and mouse during startup, including the bios or windows safe mode selection menu. However, once started to win7, all usb port are disabled, not even power supply. Which means no keyboard, no mouse. I can't do anything else until the eve of the computer by push and hold button / stop.

    Hello @peace4q1,

    Welcome to the Support Forum community!

    I read all your posts on the Forums of HP Support and wanted soft hand to help you!

    I understand that you are having problems with the audio software / settings lost in your Pavilion dv7 notebook

    When was the software last job right for you? What led you to reinstall? When you have reinstalled the software did you use the Recovery Manager?

    First of all, you want to make sure that all your drivers for your laptop are up to date.

    I found this document has enough detailed troubleshooting for various problems of driver or audio software.

  • Pop - up window asking if I want to known password don't pop up why I'm not in private browsing, and the site is not on the list of exceptions please help

    I can not the firefox window to ask me if I want to remember my password. I'm not in private browsing. The site is not on the list of exceptions in the security zone where all other sites of passwords are stored.

    Hello, Web sites can specify whether browsers should be able to save the name of user and password (through the AutoComplete = "off" attribute in the login form in the html source code)-it is often the case when a high level of security is probably held by these sites.

    You can either install an addon or use a bookmarklet to work around this restriction.

    Usernames and passwords are not saved

  • I need to find the source file or registry that creates "Services" Exceptions in the firewall of Windows XP when the system is restarted.

    I have a boot sector virus (Troj/MBroot-H) that I can not remove from my computer without losing access to my HARD drive due to a custom boot partition.  I can't afford to repair or replace the computer I have at the moment, so I try to disable things as much as possible to neutralize this virus.  I have already downloaded Malwarebytes and analysis had revealed 18 registry viruses and files that have already been removed from the system.  The HelpAssistant account and its files have been deleted from the system.

    The only thing left to change is the firewall of Windows XP.  I currently have to restore Windows Firewall to its settings by default whenever I restart my computer because the virus has configured the system to add more 'services' and 'management' objects in the list of Exceptions whenever the system is restarted.  If I don't do that an outside source will invade the system via remote desktop and add the HelpAssistant account and the file.  I need to know how to replace system orders that creates these objects for additional exceptions during the restart.  I want to restore full contol on the firewall of Windows XP by allowing not exceptions except those I choose.  Is there a Window XP Firewall registry key or file that can be removed, replaced or changed to keep these elements to be added to the list of exceptions?

    Thank you

    Spacejunkie1

    The computer is still severely infected and you will not be able to "establish complete control over the firewall of Windows XP". Backup your data and do a clean install of Windows. I understand that you do not want to hear this, but it is, IMO, the answer. Please specify your first sentence if you need assistance.

  • 10g: re-raise the exception modifies the call stack

    Hello! I'm "Oracle PL/SQL Reference" and trying to re-raise the exception:
    begin
      dbms_output.put_line('line a');
      raise no_data_found;
    exception
      when others then
          dbms_output.put_line('line b');
          raise;
    end;
    Oracle reports exception was thrown on line 7, not 3. Apparently "re-raise" modifies the call stack, making it of no use: I can throw a new exception with the same success. It is not re - raise a conventional sense of the term. The question is, is there a possibility to actually STILL raise exception, without changing the call stack?

    A reference to 'Lines followed by Steven Feuerstein'

    Impact of multiple reminders

    Often, an exception occurs at the bottom of the execution stack. If you want this exception to propagate all the way to the PL/SQL block outside, it should be re-relief within each exception handler in the stack of blocks. Listing 3 shows an example of such an event.

    Code Listing 3: Re-raising exceptions to the outermost block on the stack

    CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE proc1 IS
    BEGIN
       DBMS_OUTPUT.put_line ('running proc1');
       RAISE NO_DATA_FOUND;
    EXCEPTION
       WHEN OTHERS THEN
          DBMS_OUTPUT.put_line (
             'Error stack in block where raised:');
          my_putline (
             DBMS_UTILITY.format_error_backtrace);
          RAISE;
    END;
    /
    CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE proc2
    IS
       l_str VARCHAR2 (30) := 'calling proc1';
    BEGIN
       DBMS_OUTPUT.put_line (l_str);
       proc1;
    END;
    /
    CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE proc3 IS
    BEGIN
       DBMS_OUTPUT.put_line ('calling proc2');
       proc2;
    EXCEPTION
       WHEN OTHERS
       THEN
          DBMS_OUTPUT.put_line ('Error stack at top level:');
          my_putline (DBMS_UTILITY.format_error_backtrace);
          bt.show_info (DBMS_UTILITY.format_error_backtrace);
    END;
    /

    When I run the code in Listing 3, I see the following result:

    SQL> exec proc3
    calling proc2
    calling proc1
    running proc1
    Error stack in block where raised:
    ORA-06512: at "SCOTT.PROC1", line 4
    Error stack at top level:
    ORA-06512: at "SCOTT.PROC1", line 11
    ORA-06512: at "SCOTT.PROC2", line 6
    ORA-06512: at "SCOTT.PROC3", line 4

    Program owner = SCOTT
    Program name = PROC1
    Line number = 11

    When I call the function backtrace in the program at the lowest level, it correctly identifies the line 4 of proc1 as the line where the error is mentioned. I then re - raise the same exception using the statement of RECOVERY. When the exception propagates to the outermost block, I call the backtrace function once again and this time it shows that the error was raised at line 11 of proc1.

    This behavior, we can conclude that DBMS_UTILITY. FORMAT_ERROR_BACKTRACE watch the running back to the last trace LIFT during its session. As soon as you issue a STIMULUS to a specific exception or re - raise the current exception, you restart the cell which produces the backtrace function. This means that if you want to take advantage of the DBMS_UTILITY. FORMAT_ERROR_BACKTRACE, take one of the following two approaches:

    Call the function backtrace in the section of the exception to the block in which the error was raised. This way you have (and can connect) that line number critical, even if the exception is re-relief more further upward in the stack.
    Avoid exception handlers in your carpet intermediate programs and call the function backtrace in the section except for the outermost program in your stack.

  • Firefox refuses to stop the blocking of pop-up windows - up, even with added exceptions and blocker completely disabled.

    I work in a facility that uses a corporate intranet to access our database. The database uses windows pop up widely important information. Problem is that Firefox absolutely will NOT stop block popup windows no matter what I try. At first I added our database server to the list of exceptions. It worked for a while, but soon after resumption of the important pop-up blocking. I then completely disabled the blocking of popup windows (options > > content > > unchecked "block popup windows"). It did not work until I closed and reopened Firefox. A week later (today!), Firefox takes over again blocking the pop-up windows. I double checked my settings to confirm that Firefox still claims to have the popup blocker off.
    At this point, I am at a loss on how to proceed. I looked at other issues similar and my frustration (and certainly their even more), individuals requesting repeatedly told them to turn off the blocker of popups even after explaining that they already have. Help would be very appreciated.

    Thanks for the description of the Firefox Safe Mode. I just thought that Safe Mode is a condition under which we could launch Windows XP in a minimal operating system by starting a startup sequence, hold down the F8 key and effectively manage the prrams troubleshooting and maintenance for Windows. It seems that the Windows XP of Firefox version could run not affected by a virus, a worm or other malware, and ge fixed.

    Please try this Linux distribution. They are many, and I'm a fan.

  • Why is there nothing in the list of Exceptions - Cookies because I upgraded to 42.0?

    He would probably have hundreds of sites listed, but the list is empty. I tried manually add mozilla.org to be allowed and another site to be blocked and still nothing.

    It could be the work of one of your modules.
    Type of topic: addons< enter > in the address bar to open your add-ons Manager.
    Access key; < Control >(Mac: < command >)< shift > has)

    In the Manager of Add-ons, on the left, select Extensions.

    Some added addons toolbar and anti-virus are known to cause
    Firefox issues. Disable all of them.

    If the problem persists, disable some more (restarting FF). Continue until the
    the problem disappeared. After, you know which group is the origin of the problem.
    Reactivate the last group ONE AT A TIME (reboot FF) until the problem reports.

    others, then restart. Let us know who the suspect is detective.

  • Delete cookies not moved to the list of exceptions, why?

    There used to be a combination of Tools/Options/Privacy settings which has ensured that the cookies removed from the list show Cookies appears automatically in the list of Exceptions like blocked. This feature seems to have disappeared, or the settings do not work (or I forgot the correct combination; although I've tried them all) what is the answer?

    You must create a new Boolean pref on the topic: config because this pref does not exist by default the page via the context menu.

    I posted the second link, in order to verify that the pref is present in the code to the current version.

  • Since Fx32, show Cookies always reveals no. stored COOKIES. Where are they? I have 'accept cookies from visited' with a large list of exceptions of blocked sites.

    I have "Always deprived of the use of navigation" and "Accept the Cookies from Sites" with "Third Party Cookies: to visit ' but with a long list of site Exceptions, I intend to block." Since Fx32, DISPLAY COOKIES still says there is nothing to show. I understand the incognito automatically deletes history (including cookies) on Fx is closed, but after some extensive navigation, I expect to see some session cookies only from sites that is: a) are listed ALLOW/SESSION on my Exceptions list; or (b) are not exceptions listed at all. The list of exceptions has two categories: Ad Server sites I block to avoid hearing; and ALLOW the sites I visit have warn me to allow their cookies. Even after the connection to these sites (connection requires their cookie) DISPLAY COOKIES always says that there is not.

    1 I'm wrong about PRIVATE BROWSING, it does not control the placement of the cookie, which leaves to ACCEPT the COOKIES and the parameters of the Exception, but erases them cookies and another story when Fx closes?
    2. so where's my cookies I know work when I login, for example, my mail server or Amazon?
    3-do I need to install the addon from SQLite-Manager to see the cookies .sql file? It will work with Fx32 +?

    Thanks for the input, cor - el. Once I realized where is the console command line and exceeded his SPAM warning, cookie.split () / join () worked very well: a lot of output, especially warnings of javascript and HTTP requests, at least a cookie. But then I wondered:

    I pressed accidentally on [CLEAR] and console obeyed, of course. So I enter again the command (several times) but now get no reply - msg just empty console pane. Close the current tab from fx, then open a new web console, connect and I reinterpret the split () / join (). Now console only statements interprets this command error msg: > undefined (attached screenshot).

    So my question: can this js command split () / join () consider only once? I have to adjust something first? It seems the PRIVATE BROWSING feature design "drape" of all the cookies I allowed to-I assume to keep them from being seen, that's it? So can a Web page script place a cookie, and then later in the same session back or questioning? A page can simply include a document.cookie.split()/join () command in the script?

    In any case, I'm happy to have your technique and grateful. Thank you. I'll try it as a bookmark shortly.

  • No there is no way to simply remove realplayer from the blocked list?

    ... My question is someone disabled the realplayer extension / addon /.

    I'm here swear a blue streak with this choice of blocking.

    And now because someone decides that it causes problems with firefox version regardless, they will block a list of main blocking for a reasoning? TCH.

    Is there WAY of NO of realplayer simply remove this list of the said block? I know that I can go in the comments; config and disable - all - the list, I don't want to do.

    Someone can't make this thing a little bit more friendly with the block list? Put some crazy checkboxes next to him so I can filter what I want.
