  I have a _problem with TV tuner driver after installing Windows 7 64-bit Professional (new installation) on Qosmio G40_ (G40-111, part Nr: PQG40E-01E007N5)

  All the drivers I downloaded from www.toshiba-europe.com and installed manually one by one.

  The system recognizes a tv tuner (TOSHIBA PCI TV DVB-T/Analog hybrid Tuner (x 64)) and the proposed... driver is installed but the device does not work correctly:
  -There is a small triangle of sign with "!" in Manager devices agaist this device;
  -Properties in General: "Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) « ;
  -Properties in Driver: driver version 2.1.1.0, driver date: 28/03/2007;
  -Properties in resources: this device uses no resources because it has a problem.
  -Windows Media Center doesn't have a tv tuner.

  I used Vista 32 bit Ultimate so far and a tv tuner works very well.

  In order to solve the problem, I tried everything, I could think for two nights:
  -new new installation of Windows 7 (no result)
  -installation of the driver on WIn7 tv tuner freshly installed BEFORE any other driver and chip set drivers... the '! ' appears immediately on the installation of Manager and subsequest of other drivers doesn't help;
  -driver download for Vista and Win7 (no result), American and European sites
  -Uninstall and reinstall, manual search for a device and an *.inf file affectante special to be installed (no result)

  * I believe, that the driver is not fully functional with Win7 64 bit and TOSHIBA has GOT TO RELEASE A WORK ONE... instead of trying to offer a driver 03/28/2007! *

  * SOMEONE AT TV-TUNER AND ONDER WORKING WIN7-64 OR VISTA 64? *

  I'm not 100% sure but I think that all of the stuff available on Toshiba download page is for Win7 update only.
  I can see TV pilot is not available at all, and I think it's proof of my theory.
  So what you need to do is to upgrade pre-installed Vista (Toshiba recovery image) to Win7 using the upgrade kit Toshiba.

  I did it with my Qosmio x 300 and there is no problem at all.
  What you can do is to contact the hotline of Toshiba or the nearest Toshiba service. They should have access to important information and they can help you with this.

• TV Tuner problem

  I have a HP 8120n desktop computer.  I recently started to use the tv again tuner card to record tv.   When I go to windows media center it tells me that no card is configured to be used.  I have set up and everything works fine.  The problem is when I restart the computer windows media center told me once again that no cards are configured to be used.  I can set up and it works - but then I have to go through the same process on each reboot.  Anyone know how I can fix?

  This morning my windows vista made some updates. Subsequently the Firefix text is exampe is bad, sometimes unreadable, attached. The text is not bad in IE, but change the return isn't desireble. Text was OK before the reboot of Windows Update. Disable ClearType exacerbates the problem. I tried to reset as described on https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/reset-preferences-fix-problems, no help.

  Acer laptop Travelmate (6 years), running fully updated Windows Vista, Danish language. Firefix 35.0.1.

  an option may be to tackle this particular update for now until there is a fix from microsoft or you could also look at if there is a graphics driver update available on the Web site of the seller (intel/amd/nvidia) which could also be solved this problem in some cases.

  A few weeks ago I started the installation of my new laptop. A FF 35.0. Installed Adobe Flash on Windows, so no plugin Flash FF and we were all happy rabbits.

  First - Firefox 35.0.1 was released the day before the last block Flash for Flash 16.0.0.287 was sent by Mozilla.

  2nd - please click on the details of the system over to the right of your first posting in this thread. It shows that you have Shockwave Flash 16.0 r0 as a PluginInstalled. What it does not say is f before you version.243 ou.287 ou.296 installed.
  

  So I guess the Flash 16.0.0.296 update was released the same day that Firefox 35.0.1 was released, too. OU.296 was released the next day and Mozilla was 'notice' and ' jump on ' update of the red list the same day.   To diagnose if this is due to a parameter, could you experience three minutes?

  Create a new Firefox profile

  A new profile will be your plugins installed by system (for example, Flash) and extensions (e.g., security suite toolbars), but no themes, other extensions or other customizations. It will also have databases of completely fresh settings and cool a cache folder.

  Out of Firefox and start in the profile using Start Manager > Run (hold the Windows key press R):

  firefox.exe -P
  

  Do not delete anything here.

  Any time want to switch profiles, exit Firefox and return to this dialog box.

  Go ahead and click on the button to create a profile, give it a name such as Sept4 and ignore the possibility of changing the location of the folder. Then launch Firefox in the new profile that you have created.

  Until you return to the profile and start-up Manager in your regular profile, your desktop shortcut should launch the new profile.

  Print preview you it seems normal?

  If it works well, you have 3 choices for the next steps:

  • Import data from your old profile key in the news
  • Try to fix the old profile of tweaking the settings and Add-ons

  I updated my iPhone to ios 9.3.2 6s.

  Since then, I started having trouble when I start the phone.

  Try to download the free 'autonomy' of the App Store app. It will test your battery and let you know if you have a problem with it. Sometimes the hardware problems with an update, sometimes it's just a coincidence.

  Edit: Factory reset you did a full restore of the system like that? If you've done this from the phone itself, it did install a new copy of iOS.

  first: "never touch a running system", but you already know...

  with this new bios, you have enabled some features of the motherboard...
  Try this:
  -turn off acpi in the bios mode, if possible
  -patch your kernel to use the acpi features
  - or disable the use of the features of acpi by boot-cheats

  as you say the problem doesn't exist when starting with "acpi = off".
  display brightness and the cooling of the processor are the main features of acpi to save energy, if your kernel can not handle
  check_acpi_ignore = 1 might be a way to make it work

  way the easiest way is to reinstall the system...
