  I formatted my hard drive and created two partitions. Then I installed Windows XP in one of them and Vista in the other. Then only under Vista the network card works and I see all kinds of connections available. Where, in Win XP it will not display the available wireless connections. I have tried everything to try to activate my net work card but can't find a way to do it. Maybe Win XP a clean installation driver missing. Does anyone have any ideas?   We have a Portege R700 - 18Q, bought about 5-6 weeks ago. It has installed at the factory Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (Portuguese language), we installed some applications only, we need here and has been added to a domain of Ms. Nothing unusual.

  Everything worked fine until a week or so, when the wireless adapter has disappeared from Windows. When I mean disappeared, I want to say the only reference I find is in system information, sub components-> network-> adapter, it shows in the list as "Intel Centrino Advanced - N 6200 AGN", the adapter type is 'Not available' and the installed part said '' Yes. '' When I press Fn + F8, he talks not of WiFi, Bluetooth and 3G WAN.

  I have checked all the configuration and software for references to the adapter. It does not show in the Device Manager, even not with hidden power devices. When I opened the profile definitions in Toshiba ConfigFree, it shows that the wire is not available. When I went to add/remove programs, I can't find a refernce to a driver for this card. The LED near the trackpad is yellow.

  I'm not an expert in Windows but I've dealt with Windows for a long time and I've usually managed to any installation/configuration of repair material. It left me speechless. It is a last resort before you send the laptop for repair.

  Any suggestions?

  I was good on a pc running XP Pro, sp2. Having a login screen that won't give me the option of resetting passwords (after entering a guess) and told me that the domain is not available. It doesn't have an administrator listed in the drop down menu to the user. I tried to use a reset disk at startup, which said that it defined my Admin password. However, I keep getting 'no domain' error when I try to use it. I typed in 'Administrator' to connect and used the given password, but always get the same answer «no available domain» I don't have access to the domain (pc comes from a medical office, which has since closed).

Now, the computer has no wireless capability either. • can not see wireless connection status

  I struggled for the last week. For some reason I'm not able to see the network connection icon in my system tray/task bar. Apart from that, if I click with the right button on the wireless connection in the network connection and try to view the status, it shows nothing. I tried to change the notification in the taskbar area property partners as well as the wireless network connection properties. I think I've looked everywhere.   Assuming that the signal is strong, and that there is no noise in the electrical environment.

  Visit the support site of the computer and make sure that you use the latest drivers * for network adapters.

  Check support for the router and make sure that your using the latest firmware for the router.

  Uncheck the box to the NIC of energy economy (I.e., do not leave the card save energy).

  There may be some variations on where is the energy saving setting.

  2. the Belkin F9L1101 does not connect to the Internet.  It connects via WiFi to your router or wireless access point.  What means the error message.  What is the brand and model of your access point wireless, router or wireless gateway?  If you have another cable or DSL modem, what is the make and model of this device as well?

  3. on the other hand, the error message may be wrong.  How do you know that you can "connect to wifi?

  Is the light on the F9L1101, flashing, or disable?
  Open Device Manager (type devmgmt.msc in the start search box and press enter).  All entries show a caution icon?  If so, which?
  Follow these steps:

  • Open a command prompt window (type cmd in the search box and press enter)
  • In the black Promt command window, type the following command and press ENTER after each line:
    ipconfig/all > "% userprofile%\Desktop\ipinfo.txt".
    Notepad '% userprofile%\Desktop\ipinfo.txt '.
