Listen to the MIDI notes in logic on an external digital piano

Greetings!

I own a Yamaha N1 Avantgrand, (which is a digital piano fantasy).

I use it as a master keyboard and want to lunch records, I have create reading with his sound coming from speakers of this digital piano piano generator.

My configuration is:

Yamaha N1: MIDI In and Midi out cable is connected to the

M-AUDIO UNO MIDI interface connected via USB to

MBP in Logic Pro X.

In this configuration, if I create a 'Software Instrument' track in logic, I am able to record MIDI data (support notes, etc.), but it will not play on the speakers of N1. It plays sounds in the computer if I attribute a virtual instrument to the track.

So I tried to use the option 'External Midi' by creating a new track as an alternative, by selecting the MIDI UNO interface as output but had unsuccessfully to get speakers Yamaha N1 of MIDI events reading. In fact, when I press on play in this context, I am disturb whistles / tones from the computer speakers.

The folks at Yamaha support say "all you need to do is tell followed South of exit to the UNO interface and the N1 should read exactly as it was recorded".

Any suggestions on how to achieve this?

I apologize if this seems a fundamental question to ask!

Thanks in advance for any help!

You must use an external midi track not a software instrument track. Once created together the midi port to the inspect to the OR.

Now reading will come out of the logic of the NC and trigger it.

    Hello

the error and the effect that you do not see the images is probably caused by a typo or another error in the path that you entered for the static content at the first time you started the independent auditor. Maybe you just press enter in the configuration dialog box.
Search for the apex.properties file, which is usually stored in/tmp/apex and fix the value for apex.images parameter points to a directory where your pictures of the APEX are stored.
If you do not, download the release of APEX belonging to your installation and unzip the installation package. The images directory content in there, that's what you'll need. Copy it in any place, for example/opt/oracle/products/apex/images and configure the listener APEX to use this path.

  • Impossible to listen to the music or sounds using internal and external speakers

    Original: connect external speakers

I have an Acer Aspire Z5700 all-in-one computer.  I have two external speakers with an audio jack and a USB port that I can connect to the computer and I when it is connected to the computer, I hear out of them my question is how to get the sound of the computer system internal and external speakers at the same time?

    Hi Joseph,.

I would keep informs you that it is not possible to play sounds or music using internal and external speakers at the same time.
You can play music using any one option at a time, either the internal speakers or external speakers.

    Hello

It looks like not a component on the motherboard does not, but it is worth trying the following.

In regards to the link below, delete one of your modules of memory and then see if the laptop will start.  If it doesn't, try the same module, but in another location.  If it is still won't start, try just the other memory module in both slots, to see if any combination will allow the laptop to start.

The procedure for withdrawal of these modules is detailed from Page 55 of your & Maintenance Guide.

  • When you use Roland FC300 footswitch to control the transport, all the USB keyboard midi notes do not reach the logic. No help available on this?

When you use Roland FC300 footswitch to control transport LOGIC, all midi keyboard USB (UMA25s) notes do not reach the logic.

They are visible using MIDI Monitor s/w so reach the OS X - but do not make SENSE.

I tried the function of the environment of the logic and the double check OS X Midi Setup but no difference statistically.

I would appreciate any help on how to proceed.

    Thank you

    Paddy

I do not understand your post. Your use the FC300 to control logic - how is it connected?   Is it plugged into the keyboard via middle or did you connect to logic directly via a midi interface?  (sense are the keyboard and the FC300 connected independently.

When you say midi notes reached illogical (those transmitted by the FC300 or those via the USB keyboard do you mean?).

First thing to do is to circumvent the control surfaces to exclude...

Then, the control screen the custom value and see if data midi reached logical... If his hitting the midi monitor 99.9% sure it is hitting logic.

  • How to disable the MIDI to the logic of just my USB key

Question: Where exactly should I do to disable the MIDI to the logic of just my USB key (I am sending them to another application and do not want it also picked up in L, but don't want any logical MIDI stop). And where does logic to send any MIDI out? I looked at all the prefs I can find, watched dozens of links tuts and docs online, nothing... It's so easy live, sigh!

    TIA!

    Open the environment window

go to the clicks and ports

look out on the physical input and find your usb device

    New-> monitor (create this object)

pull a cable from your usb device on the physical input to the monitor

    That's all

When you want to run into logic once again simply remove the cable

get that to work first, then we can discuss outings

  • Make the midi recording when the track is not selected

Hi, asking for my friend and will try and find a solution when I get home, but...

My friend (using logic 9.1.8) made some record with about 12 actors/singers alive. I suggested to him that he must save the midi for keyboard player (who is also the composer of all parts) as well as the audio just to give them some flexibility later. It is a great keyboard player and uses its own external keyboard. (i.e. not logic instrument). All the other singers/actors are all audio.

So it is easy to implement but as such sessions can become a little hectic and although the midi for keyboard track is in record mode, the midi does not record unless the track is selected on the left. Sometimes, in the madness of him the entire midi track remains not selected and if the midi data does not get saved. Is it possible to routing in the environment where the midi will get recorded although the midi track is not selected? Don't forget, the midi track is always made armed.

    Thank you very much

Looks like you entered only followed for the targeted track has allowed...

    This picture isn't in X 9 - but it's the same setting...

Make sure that this is not the case-

  • The listener is down: even if a listener with the name "AUDITOR", is running on this host at the port: "1521", it has not started using "the target LISTENER. ORA file.

I moved a listener on a host in a House different oracle. The headset works fine, but EM 12 c shows that the listener is down with the following summary:

The listener is down: even if a listener with the name "AUDITOR", is running on this host at the port: "1521", it has not started using "the target LISTENER. ORA file. CORRECTIVE ACTION: To monitor this "EM listener target" with its current configuration, you must stop the process of listening running and start it using the Listener parameter file: opt/oracle/product/12.1.0.2/network/admin/listener.ora. Alternatively, you can update "this target LISTENER. Location ORA setting"with the location of the listener running, which started using the: opt/oracle/product/11.2.0.3/network/admin/listener.ora.

EM 11 g, I simply changed the configuration of the listener for the different oracle home, argued the change and in a few minutes the listener would show that 'UP' with the oracle of new home. I upgraded to MS 12 c (12.1.0.4) and can't find how to do this. Can someone give me the procedure.

    Thank you

    Ron

    Hi Ron,

Can you please do the following?

-Create a for the listener listener.ora file, stop and start the receiver using the listener.ora file. If the file is located in a default location, set the TNS_ADMIN environment variable to that location before you start the listener.

-Log on to the EM console, go to the homepage of the listener.

-In the Oracle Listener menu, select target Configuration > Configuration of the analysis.

-Ensure that the parameters, including the Listener.ora directory, are properly.

  • Listener (and the database instance) does not start automatically: ORA-12514: TNS:listener does not currently of service requested in connect descriptor

Hi all... I am a newbie with oracle database.,.

I have the problem of monitoring:

I installed Oracle Database 11 g R2 XE on my CentOS 6.5 guest operating system.

I changed the host name in my CentOS so (where installed oracle 11g R2 XE) after the installation was completed successfully.

Installation-) before and during the hostname is localhost.

(-) After the installation, I changed the host name in VMCentOS

From the moment where I changed the host name, nothing starts automatically. In particular, the listener and the database instance does not start automatically.

When I start the listener manually and I try to connect to the instance of database with SQLPLUS I get this error:

ORA-12514: TNS:listener is not currently of service requested in connect descriptor

I think that the problem is due host name changed because I have to test and debug the object, re-installed a machine virtual operating system CentOS, re-installed oracle database 11 g and I do not have this problem. The database instance and the listener starts automatically!

Can someone tell me if, maybe, the problem is with the host has changed? ... and why?

P.S.: After changing the hostname I also modified the listener.ora and the tnsnames.ora by changing the HOST with the correct host name.

    Hello

It seems that you don't install Oracle Database Express Edition (XE). If you post this question in the wrong forum.

When you install EA or there is no script that starts the database at startup.

If you wish, you can create by yourself. For example search for instructions to Google how to create script.

  • Piano MIDI pedals on logic pro problems

the pedals of my piano yamaha arius, the right and the middle ones, produce a sound when connected to logic pro X. I can't pass that off, and it drives me crazy because I can not play with pedals, which sounds terrible depends on music. The right pedal produce a E and the middle one a d. and it its really strong. I need a way to configure them to work as they are supposed to! Thank you

This looks like to me MIDI controller messages being modified in MIDI Note messages. (These message numbers of control pedal, 64-127 and 66-127, correspond to these notes, and the value down to a pedal is 127, which, for a note, would be the largest value for sound intensity). Unfortunately, this can have several causes. A simple thing to try is:

But don't think it will work in your case, as I suspect that the messages are sent by your Yamaha like this, so you will have to consult its manual and maybe its forums to find out what parameters to change. I guess that the Yamaha has a direct USB connection and not a separate MIDI interface?

In any case, to check that the messages are sent by your Yamaha, download this free app:

Here is an example when I type my pedal support:

  • Trigger allocation keys on a KEYBOARD to piano notes in logic

I have a keyboard 49 keys assignable midi with pads.

I need to use all the 49 notes, BUT at the SAME TIME also access C0 - C1 so that I can use keyswitches for orchestral articulation (this means that when I'm playing a melody typical, say a violin, I can hit a pad assignable (i.e. C0) which means it changes to pizzicato).

Is it possible to assign the assignable pads to play those extra notes in logic?

    Thanks in advance

Yes - you would normally change this setting on the midi controller - so the key sends the note on the desired information.

What type of keyboard is present (make and model)?

By dictating the long notes on Mac using Siri, Siri will stop as soon as I take a little break. Therefore, the note ends abruptly. Any solution for this?

For long notes, you are better to use regular old dictation - under Mac OS for a few years now, Siri is not mandatory.

To activate it, go to "System Preferences"-> keyboard-> dictation. Once enabled, you can press the "Fn" key twice to activate and dictate the long notes in any application.

Siri is optimized for short, quick things. I don't think that you can change, you just use the method that is better to listen to what you want to do at the time (short notes, using Siri. Long notes, use dictation).
