Listener to SCAN problem

We have two nodes in a cluster of rac oracle 11.2.0.1 on Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server version 5.6 (Tikanga) with a scan name that resolves to three IP addresses in the dns. 3 ips in the scan address only two seem to be online. We use for clients both survey periods online instead of the FQND address scanning to avoid time-out problems.

We notice that the listeners of 3 scan are distributed on the nodes but the only node that maintains a single listener to scan is the ip address that appear unavailable to us. For example: node A has a scan headphone and earphone of node B two scan, the scan ip associated with node A appear unavailable (we cannot ping). If we restart the scan ip distribution cluster change knots with two scan earpiece and B with only a single ip address then the ip scan in node B is not available.

Any help will be appreciated. Below some outputs follow the document 975457.1.

Hello

Bug 9109880: SCAN ADDRESS NOT to pings AFTER SWITCH - might suddenly look on My Oracle Support, it seems to fit to your situation in some respects.

The problem is solved in 11.2.0.2, your original post says you use 11.2.0.1 - there is also a difficulty in the 11.2.0.1.2 power supply, with a value of experimentation.

Thank you
Paul

    Scanning problem

My printer recently started having problems with scanning.  I start a scan.  He is busy for a long time and then fails informing me that HP LaserJet Scan has stopped working.  When I type the guest Cancel Windows, the printer still displays the message "Scan to PC" forever.

I tried everything, including the scanning print doctor PC, which fails also in the same way, reloading drivers, firmware etc.  Sometimes I get a message "unable to communicate with the printer.

I can print and photocopy.  It is connected via USB.  No hardware problem does appear in Windows.

    Help?

    Hello

A defective cable can affect much more than the impression, as scannign consumes much more energy to make the connection by comparing standard analysis printing.

However, what happens when you try to scan from Windows Fax and Scan?

I strongly suggest such a you already reinstalled the software and a bit checked any possibility that the relocation of the software already.

Please let me know the results,

But how to scan from my computer? I open the HP Solution Center, and the only option is 'Print of Photos' or 'Share of Photos.'

This article tells me to go to the "analysis settings" in the HP Solution Center. I have no "analysis settings" in the HP Solution Center. If I click on settings, I get the print settings and other settings (which resemble internet connection parameters)

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01391654

I'm on Vista Home Premium and I connect to my C5580 Bluetooth. Fine, I can print. Just can not scan to the computer. However, I can scan to a SD card.

    Any suggestions?

Seems that you have connected the printer using Connectivity Bluetooth.Bluetooth is only for printing and scanning will not work. You will need to connect to the printer with the USB cable to analyze correctly.

  • Local listener and listener to Scan

In a 11.2.0.4 cluster can you set the local_listener and the scan_listener run on the same port 1521.

In a 11.2.0.4 cluster can you set the local_listener and the scan_listener run on the same port 1521.

Yes. You may think two headphones can not use the same TCP port in a server. But, remember, Local listener is running on the node RAC VIP and listener to SCAN runs on SCAN IPs that are different from the public IP/VIP to each node.

  • 11 GR 2 rac - help the listener to scan

    Hi guys,.

    I test using the following:

    1 VMware server 2.0.2

    2 11.2.0.1 oracle

    3 Linux 5

I use no DNS for my tests. I use the host for my SCAN configuration file. (for testing of use)

I'm just curious as to why it did not work as it is.

As I use the host file, the listener to scan can operate only in a single node, which is now in my rac2 node and can only have an IP from scan.

When I tried to connect my client using the underside of tns, it only connect/direct keep me in rac2.

Isn't she supposed to balance the connection sometimes rac1 as well?

I can confirm that it's going to rac2 as when I bring only rac2, is not able to connect to rac through the AMT.

Is it supposed to work this way?

    RAC =

    (DESCRIPTION =

    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP) (HOST = rac-scan)(PORT = 1521))

    (CONNECT_DATA =

Before you run the command sequence

    lsnrctl status LISTENER_SCAN1

    lsnrctl services LISTENER_SCAN1

You must set ORACLE_HOME grid House.

Also check the service_name parameter database on both instances.

Please come back to me @Boris-K.

I checked with a colleague at work and manage to Scan option should be available to scan the computer. So it looks like not properly installed software because you are missing this option. You don't have to 'Manage the Fax settings' option that is available.

I have provided with steps to unlock the hidden administrator account and the installation of the printer on this account to see if this will help this situation.

Unplug the USB cable and run the uninstall: uninstall the printer software (Windows).

Note: Do not connect the USB cable until you are prompted during the installation.

    • Go to your Start menu and in the box "search programs and files", type CMD.
    • CMD will fill as an option to search above, just right-click on it and "run as Administrator".
    • Once opens in CMD (command prompt), type net user administrator / Active: Yes and press ENTER.
    • Then, close CMD and then restart your computer.
    • When your computer is on the newspaper in the new account which should show. It will be called Administrator and will not have a password on it.
    • If your computer automatically connects to your account after the restart then go to your Start menu and click on the arrow next to 'shutdown' and choose 'change user '. Now log on to the administrator account, that we have just released.
    • Under the administrator account, install the printer software: HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 2640 All - in - One Printer full feature software and drivers series.
    • Test the printer.
    • To disable the Admin account start at step 1 and type net user administrator / active: No..

If you still experience this issue, it may be the user's profile. Create a new user and try to install the printer on this account.

    • Open user accounts by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, click user accounts and family safety (or by clicking on user accounts, if you are connected to a network domain), and then clicking user accounts.
    • Click on manage another account.
    • Click on create a new account.
    • Install the printer on this account.

Let me know if that solves the problem. Thank you!

  • Multifunction color HP LaserJet Pro 200: Scan problem tray

I'm having a problem with the scan on the all in one tray. Basically I never scan A4 paper (wireless), but once the data transmitted from the printer to the pc, I find that the PDF version on the screen is too long. I then have to manually crop the size down to A4. It might not seem that a huge problem when say you scan one or two pages, but when you have a whole pile of documents to download, cropping manually each size takes a lot of time. The scanner never used to do this, it's past numbers. I'm using the wrong settings or y at - it something wrong with the scanner itself?

Well, this should solve your problem:

Make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector.

    1. Open HP Scan.
    2. Click on the gear icon.
    3. Click on the harvest.
    4. Select A4.

Please let me know the results after following the above. If you can properly analyze, click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.

  • HP Officejet 8600 more print and scan problems

    Hello

I had my HP officejet 8600 more for 2-3 years and always had problems following and just kept reinstalling the drivers as a quick fix. I am now starting a business from home and I have no time to deal with printing and scanning the questions and, of course, my warranty has expired! My operating system is OS X version 10.9.4.

When I scan to my computer, the printer indicates "not found computer." The status of my mac is no different than when I scanned a document a few days ago! Remove and reinstall the drivers solves this problem temporarily but I want it fixed permanently.

In addition, when printing, sometimes a page can print immediately and at other times, it may take 5-10 minutes to print even if its status is 100% full in the print queue - even once, reinstall the drivers is a quick fix but I want a permanent solution.

Any help to solve these problems would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you very much...

    Hello Hello!

I thank very you much for getting back to me! Glad to hear things are working at the moment! • HP scanning problem!

Hello, I had a problem with my printer HP analysis feature. I have a HP Deskjet F4400 series, and I bought it less than 2 weeks ago. When I scan a photo, document, etc. I have the file sent to a folder in my documents. When I go to open this folder, the digital file is not there. Then I returned and scanned another 2 times, and the file is not there. I even tried to change the location of file scanned on my desktop but it stil isn't here. I even tried to uninstall the HP printer software and reinstall them and scan the image, but I still cannot find the file. Any suggestions? Need help please, I spent the last 3 hours trying to figure out and nothing good turns.

  • HP - scanning problem solution Center

I was in the middle of the digitization of images in a Word 2010 by using my HP6310 all in one document. After scanning a selected section of a page like I did several times, I got a message saying:

"An internal error occurred during the processing of the document. Click OK to close the program and then try one of the following values:-restart the program. -Restart the PC and then try again. -Reinstall the software photos & images and try again. »

I tried to close and restart the HP Solution Center and the word. I tried scanning in a new Word document. I tried to restart the PC. I've updated the software of HP. In the process, I found and downloaded the HP printer Diagnostic tools. When I ran the Scan doctor, I got a message saying:

«Center of solution error: your system needs an update to fix this Solution Center error.» Click on the "Get Update" to download the update. Once the download is complete, run the downloaded file to update your system. »

However, when I clicked on "Get Update", I received the following message: 'could not open the page. The service or the information requested is not available at this time. Please try again later. (Error: system-websrv_unavail) »

I tried to restart several times over a period of several hours.

Before this problem in his set, I started to receive error messages when I tried to save the Word file containing scanned images. The messages said that I could not save due to a file permission error. The message does not always appear, and I found I could work around the problem by using the function save pennies on the file tab. I don't know if these two problems are related.

I am using Windows Vista 64-bit.

    Hi @CL-HP

There are indeed a few updates available, which may be necessary; However, I think it would be better first to perform a full uninstall, then reinstall the software, then look for the necessary updates.

    1. Hold down the Windows Logo key () on the keyboard and the 'R' to open the dialog box run, type %temp%
    2. Delete all files and folders in the temp folder. Choose Skip if all pop ups seem to say all files cannot be deleted
    3. The new software - uninstall the printer software Instructions
    4. Once the uninstall is complete, reboot the computer
    5. Follow these steps to reset the registry settings and options for Windows Installer.
