LOADING blackBerry Smartphone WHITE SCREEN! MY STORM 3RD IN 3 MONTHS!

My BB storm keeps getting a white screen and freezes then won't turn on. Loading clock appears then disappears and will start. Verizon replaced my phone when I take it but I lose all my info I have not to store on my Mac. This is getting fustrating. I got my phone in April and directs me to the store to exchange it for the fourth time. Often happens when I wake up, and then I realize that my phone does not work. Anyone know what is happening?

could be the charger, map or the shot you reload, causing the surge.

get another charger, try another taken and copy images off the card, reformat and copy photos in return. do not copy files or all the contents of records there is a hidden file in each folder that you want to avoid to get back

  • BlackBerry smartphone White screen and hour glass, can't do anything

Occasionally by BB has a white screen with an hourglass, the latter for a few minutes

It the first time I tried it turn off, which did not help, so I removed the battery and turn on the power, and he returned to the white screen with the hour glass.

So I thought that maybe this is a update being pushed by Verizon or BB, couple of days later I plug my BB to USB for laptop and check the updates of BB, nothing there, OK. So I tried Verizon update, you know what number that your call and it ask you if you want to update your phone (don't remember what it is right now)

Someone else has had this, are there any patches?

Thanks in advance for your help

    Bulisani,

Sorry for the problem with the hourglass and display...

Each unit of a battery pull restarts, the screen will appear empty for about 1-2 minutes during startup.  If you load ok and continue to have the hourglass appearing frequently, there may be a somewhenre of files sorrupted who maintains the processes that the BB must load - not 100% sure, but if there is a corruption, you might want to consider your phone by using the Fund mgr and performing a master handheld wipe (backup options security options (gen settings, touch menu and then select wipe Handheld)

When restore you... A full recovery can restore the corruption on the phone, so...

There is an advanced Fund mgr backup/restore option allowing you to restore specific databases such as Contacts, calendar, etc...

BTW... the more - the number of programming made up air is only to update your device with VZW towers, dealing with mainly the roaming capabilities and the # * 228.

    I hope that helped you!

I pulled the battery immediately and have been frantically the Internet a way to undo it. Please please please help.

I have so many things on my phone, I really need. Especially my baby :-(videos

    Can someone help me.

Hello and welcome to the community!

Failure of the BBID credentials will never wipe a BB. What actually happened, was that you entered correctly your password user - created lock too many times, and he went with the unit, in accordance with the requirements of the security level agreed upon activation of this function of wiping. There is no way to stop it.

    I'm sorry.

  • BlackBerry smartphone White Screen of Death!

    Hello

I tried to turn on my phone one morning recently to find that the screen was white. I know know that this is due to a bad cable connection, but how can I fix this problem? I've learned to communicate with the people that there should be a guarantee of 2 years but which failed, I bought the phone from. What can I do? I would really like my BB to come back to life!

I'll be very grateful for any help.

    Thank you

Hello and welcome to the community!

As a community of users, nobody here can answer your question with any level of authority whatsoever. RIM offers zero first line support to end-users, including warranty... all support starts with the carriers, resellers and authorized service centers, all who can degenerate case RIM free of charge for the end user.

Thus, your escalation procedure is here, in these forums. It's through that that you are already dealing with. You have no free path to work around them.

There is something called incident support, but it costs to just ask the original question, since you are not through the contract, you signed at the time of purchase. If you want to study, you can check it out here:

It is also perhaps a few good reading here:

Otherwise, you would be looking for technicians from the local hardware store in person who can repair that you need (at your expense).

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Black screen, white screen & reload software 507

This is my first post on a forum, so please, be gentle.

I have a Blackberry Curve 8530.  Several months earlier, during a daily use, the screen would go black all of a sudden.  A battery pull would solve this problem for a while.  Finally, it has become more common.  Symptoms have changed (it seems that if I put the phone down too quickly it would reset), the phone turn on, then immediately go to a white screen where everything was undetectable by my computer.  I contacted my service provider and they said the phone was toast and (surprisingly) gave me a free ready to use for the duration of my contract (all information transferred via an old backup, so nothing has been lost) after that my new phone work I left my curve is connected to my office.  Yesterday as I was leaving I watched again once the phone, and the screen was white and telling me to reload software 507.  I plugged my computer to start the process and to my surprise, the computer has detected all of a sudden the phone and successfully upgraded the software.  Everything was beautiful, I exceeded the password stage and he would just start to recharge my information when the screen faded empty again.  I always free loan phone, so it's not a big deal, but it's so annoying as to what could be the problem.  Now the computer can detect is more the phone again.

Thanks for reading my long post.  Any help that can be provided would be greatly appreciated!

Chance if you can do a battery pull and try

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/device-software-for-BlackBerry/how-to-reload-your-operating-S...

for a reload of software.  No guarantee, because the computer does not pick up the phone on a consistent basis.

  • BlackBerry smartphone touch screen does not work, 2 phone... Torch = junk

It's my 2nd my first Torch torch touch work stoppeed and ATT sent me another...

Now this torch touchscreen stopped working, so far, I did a reboot hard and soft...

now I can do a factory reset or downgrade...

IM starting to think that the torch is undesirable.

Well, I talked to ATT tech support and I actually finally got through to BB and they open a case and gave me a number of good ticket for 3 days...  The first tech support was a dunce and she told me that 7 hours was taken long to upgrade software, so she told me to unplug and re install...  That solves nothing, only bricked my torch, even though she was right about one thing 7 hours is far too long, but it does not solve anything...

then I recalled in support of BB using my ticket number... and here I actually spoke to somebody who knew what he was doing...  We connected through desktop remotely, and he guided me...

He told me to never update device software when the software asks you to update...  I told him, I was getting a white screen and it says App Error 200...  He told me that we have a clean wipe and install everything new facility...  He has directed to the site from ATT and I DL the latest peripherique.246 software...  Then after it DL'ed I installed;...

then he had me to connect the device again AND GO INTO PROGRAMS CAN record B\LACKBERRY

then find charger, here, he had me select the apps I would like to, and then click Next...

then after 5 minutes it finished loading, he then told me to wait another 10 minutes for the device to reboot and then my torch works!

If anybodys touchscreen doesn't work more or torch is made of bricks, I highly recommend doing this procedure...

I called BB again and had them send me an email for accurate insrucions, so I recorded in case this happens again... Here it is...  Keep in mind first you need access to the ATT site will link you to the site Web de Blackberry and then DL file then open and install and do the following...

Check that the device client software is installed on their computer, or it won't work.

    1. click on the start menu
    2. go in my computer
    3. go in: C:/Program Files/Common Files/Research in Motion/Apploader
    -If its 64-bit windows, it will be C:/Program Files(x86) /Common Files/Research in Motion/Apploader
    4. double-click on "loader.exe" (it may be called "loader" according to windows settings)
    5. a window opens saying "welcome in the application loader wizard." Click next
6 next, where it is written 'Connection' to ensure that either "USB - PIN:" or "USB - PIN: UNKNOWN" appear. ""
    7. click on next. It take a while to connect to the device and then view the Application selection screen.
-L'application selection screen will be a list of application control.
-Items that are checked will be installed, if they do not already exist on the device.
-Items that are not checked will not install, and if they already exist on the device they will be deleted.
    8. ask the customer to scroll through this list and check all applications they know they would like on their blackberry.
    9. once everything looks good, click Next.
    10. click on the Advanced button.
    11. make sure that 'remove all previously installed applications' and "Delete all application data" is checked.
    12. click Next.
    13. If loader.exe asks you if you want to automatically back up and restore data, select "do not automatically backup and restore."
    14. click Next and then finish
15 advise the customer that this process can take anywhere from 20 to 40 minutes, and everything they do during this time is to ensure that the blackberry is connected. The first time that their blackberry starts after this process, it will stay on the screen of the hourglass for about 10 minutes, nothing to worry about.

Once the client can see the home screen of their blackberry, they're OK disconnect.

The customer will have to re - turn on their radio, they can do so by going to manage connections > select Mobile network

    Sincerely,

  • BlackBerry smartphones frozen screen, possibly an easy Question

Hi all, I tried to read the FAQ before asking this question, but they do not seem to work now.

I had my Storm for a little over a week and the screen completely froze and becomes scrambled all by sending a text message.  I restarted the storm by plugging the charger and now it will not load even upward.  I received an error once, which then froze again the screen.  After that, I tried to reboot again, and he brings just to the top of the screen (sometimes garbled, as well) Verizon Wireless.

Is there a way to fix this without doing a hard reset (and lose all my data)?

    Try this:

Leave the appliance to charge 2-3 hours and then, always toujours relie connected to the USB cable, remove the battery from the camera a few seconds and plug it back. If it starts - let - the charges to 100% (check the Options > status for the percentage).

If it does not start - try using a wall charger if you're not. If you are connected via USB to the computer, make sure that you have Desktop Manager (or USB device drivers), you can download it below.

Make sure that your USB cable is connected to one of the main rear USB ports of the PC. A USB hub, or USB Monitor port not a USB port on the front of the PC.

    Download Desktop Manager here:

  • BlackBerry Smartphones missing on my Storm lightning bolt theme. Can someone tell me how to get it?

I bought my Storm the day of the release of my local Verizon. The theme, with what he came is a red screen with the check from Verizon. No offense to Verizon, but I don't want the theme. When I go into the themes, it shows a small picture of the correct theme but you can't choose it. I looked everywhere on the phone and can not find the scene of lightning. Funny thing is that I can't find a picture of the Verizon theme. So now the mystery thickens because from time to time when checking my email a brief overview of all the low 1/4 of the lightning theme appears. I had the Blackberry phone and they can't find a copy of the same e-mail me silly theme and no one can understand why my phone is like that. They claim, that he should have with the topic of lightning on him and not the theme of Verizon.

Can someone help me with this? I'm not totally stupid techno, but I'm starting to feel like it.

    Thank you

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Google Maps on Storm

My Storm is great - my first Blackberry but I have a problem with Google Maps.  First time I tried to use it, he downloaded the app and started the application I think OK.  Since then whenever I try to use Google Maps, he asks me to rInstaller or not, even if he says it's installed akready and whatever I do, it does not run. It may be something to do with the license acceptance screen, I can't highlight the "I agree" or "I do not accept" options. even if it downloads the application again. I reinstalled 4 - 5 times without success, or is there an option to remove the application.  Any ideas?

Mate, I think I kmnow what you do! The "Application Center" is where you install the applications of. Once they are installed, you must look in the 'Applications' for effective enforcement. I made the same mistake initially.

By the way, it's a value controls in the application Centre from time to time (and then by clicking on the icon "Update" on the upper right) as it will tell you if there are updates for the applications may have already downloaded (for example, You Tube has been recently updated...)

    I hope this helps guys...

  • BlackBerry smartphones peut records BB Storm 9530 Sync

I was able to sync media (photos, music and videos) and Outlook (calendar, tasks, and contacts) with no problems, but I was not able to determine whether or not I can sync a folder of files such as 'My Documents', containing MS Word and Excel Documents.  I would like to be able to synchronize this folder with my desktop and laptop so when I make a change to a file on either, it will update them when I sycn BB Storm.  I could do with my VX-6700. Please help if you can...

Well, another good fix proposed by bifocals!

It worked very well.  Here's a link that discusses the use of the Briefcase in Windows XP: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307885

I started with my office by creating a 'New Briefcase' folder in 'My Documents '.  I then copied all the documents I want to sync between my office, Storm and laptop and then paste in the folder "new portfolio."

From there on, I used Desktop Manager from Blackberry to synchronize my Storm with my office.  Once synchronized, I clicked on "Media" and then "Media Manager".  Once inside the "Media Manager", I opened my media card in "Devices" on the right side of the screen.  Then, I went to the upper left of the screen and clicked on the icon of the folder ("issues").  From then on, I looked for from the drop down menu files until I find "My Documents", then "new portfolio."  Then, I clicked on "New portfolio" so that its content/folders appear on the right.

I then "copied down' content/folders on the memory card in 'Folder of Documents' of the press card.

Now, whenever I want to access a document on my laptop, I connect my Storm and find the document on my press card.  Once I'm done making changes, I save the changes to the media card.

Later, when I get home, I connect my Storm to my office, resync, then 'copy to the top' all documents in the folder "New portfolio" on my desktop.  This will automatically update the files that I had changed.  I 'copy to the top' all documents, so I don't need to worry about remember what documents I've changed.

If I decide to save my documents on my laptop, instead of simply using the laptop to view and edit my docs, I'll probably consider creating a folder "New portfolio" on this subject.  This would help preserve the current docs on both sides.

    Bifocal thanks!
