Local access to a wireless laptop to my office lost after a few minutes (windows Ultimate and Home Premium)

Hello

I have an Office Vista Ultimate wired computer connected to a router and a laptop with Vista Home Premium wireless connected to a local network home.

My problem is that after switch on mi desktop folders in offline mode, I can get access to the laptop for some time exploring just network folders sometimes. Other several times if I try to get my desktop access to the laptop I can not!  only one who can read the files in offline mode, and the looks of the laptop offline. (but is there and the laptop can explore the desktop computer)

The laptop still can get access to my office after using the right password to get into my office laptop computer never lose the connection on the desktop.

Office only ask the network password on laptop only once and after that if he lost the connection never aks for the password or try any attempt to connect to the laptop still shows the files in offline mode and the State of the laptop computer is in offline mode.

I have updated both my systems and try a fixit for problems (MicrosoftFixit50357) dhcp solution.

I get bad configuration on my Eset Smart Security Firewall but it seems too complex for me and I found any solution in the options defined in this topic.

Can someone give a clue what wrong with my desktop computer? or even if a matter of missconfiguration on one of my systems?

Please HELP :-(:-(

Thanks in advance.

Hello

Well at the moment I have disable offline files and the two works fast enough systems and never loose connection. It always feels different versions of windows can cause the problem, even if the versions of Vista.

To synchronize my compuetrs I have decide to delegate the task to my Araxis Merge using the functionality of comparation and record to my Outlook tool I found looking at Google called Personal which is strongly recommended for people like me who need to have a mirror in some files and software on both computers.

After you disable the files offline on the desktop, no matter the size could be synch with Araxis Merge Don t connection failure.

Thanks for your advice in any case Lorien and good luck too.

  • NB100 - wireless lost after a few minutes

Last week, I bought a NB100. Everything works well, next to the wireless network.

It starts fine, but after a few minutes the connection is lost, I can't access the internet and/or e-mail anymore. The report shows an excellent connection and it is connected.
When I click on the and select restore the connection it works fine again for about 5 minutes. On my laptop 'normal' I have no problem at all.

    What could cause the problem?

Try to update the driver WLAN and the BIOS. The two you can find on the Toshiba site:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com

In addition, you should try to disable all the features of security as a hidden SSID, MAC address filtering and so far away.

Search the Web site of the manufacturer of the router for a updated firmware, and after it he set factory reset and reconfigure the router.

  • Pavilion dv7t-4000 laptop: AMD HDMI port on the computer laptop dv7 is lost after free trial Win10 returns to Win7 Home Premium edition

My laptop was purchased in sept 2010 and runs Win7 Home Premium Edition (64-bit).

It worked perfectly until June 2016, when the trial version free odious Win10 forced itself on my laptop.  I had no choice, I used Win10 for a day or 2 and then discovered that:

    (1) I lost the audio capability, HDMI port, I use to connect to my TV, and

    (2) the Win10 trial enabled me to return on Win7, I did without delay.

In my Win 7 restored, everything was fine, except when I have her go in Control Panel to configure / reconfigure HDMI as the default, I couldn't - the element used to appear as "AMD HDMI Audio" is no longer displayed.  I remember a message during the free trial period Win10 that says it has disabled any material incompatible.  Without a doubt, Win10 free trial 'killed' this HDMI/device port, at least audio-wise.

Today, I always run the same Win7, but I can't have audio HDMI on this port.  When I connect to my TV, the video works.  Win7 Device Manager it shows with an exclamation in yellow, and when I right click to get more details, there is a message saying Microsoft:

Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might be installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or maybe it's a malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52).

Is there a way to 'get it '?  'this' is AMD HDMI audio.  (and wthout spoil the graphics - that is, video)

I tried to install the drivers provided by AMD [graphics] and that did not work. The Internet from AMD website says that the audio drivers are included in the package for graphics drivers.  There is also a huge confusion in the way these low level items are named/described: ATI and AMD, because they have merged, were used somewhat interchangeably.  I also tried the graphics drivers AMD HP Support Web site specific to my laptop and it has only gotten worse.

Thank you for your kind attention.

    Hi @ RTX,

Awesome response. I read the details and depth of your post. I understand that the bios is updated. So you could end up with this update.

Happens to the other updates. This will be the order.

    1. Uninstalling the driver Chipset and resettlement.

2 reinstalling and uninstalling graphics drivers

    3. uninstall the sound drivers and reinstall.

Before uninstalling, you can try to update the drivers supplied by device also Manager and if that market that will be great. Please, do it only if you don't have already done.

Before uninstalling please make sure that you capture an image of the complete Device Manager window. Take some pictures of your cell phone. Please note the exact device for audio and video chipset drivers. Then, you will need to uninstall it from the Device Manager and install from the support site in the above order so that there is no confusion.

If nothing works as a last resort, you may need to restore complete system to factory settings. Please backup your files before doing so. This is possible since the recovery of your computer's hard drive partition.

    Hi Vashem,

The error STOP: 0x000000F4 can occur for several reasons. There are many reasons why your system may crash because of these screens to stop errors\Blue. The most common scenarios are: faulty drivers, hardware problem (especially RAM). In this case, the issue could be due to the motherboard is heated.

Check firmware and system disk controller BIOS settings are correct and that the storage device has been correctly installed.

Method 1: The problem is possibly due to material of unsupported disk controller. Check if BIOS (Basic Input\Output System) is set to IDE. Enter the BIOS and check the settings. Change the SATA to IDE option (if available). You can view the manual to do the same thing.

Note: Be careful when you change the BIOS settings. The BIOS interface is designed for advanced users, and it is possible to change a setting that can prevent your computer from starting properly.

Method 2: Disconnect any external devices from the computer except for the mouse and keyboard and check if that helps.

I just bought a new computer running Windows 7 Edition Home Premium with an upgrade to windows 7 Pro. I have the PIN # for the upgrade, but I can't get the site to come www.windows7.com/get key. How to pass?

If your PIN does not work, try the following:
    1. check that the PIN has been entered correctly. PIN code is not case sensitive and is alpha-numeric.
    2. make sure that the PIN has not already been used to obtain a product key. A PIN can be used only once to get a product key. If the PIN has been used, you can connect to your account with your Windows Live ID (if you have it when the PIN has been entered) to access your product key or you can check your email for the confirmation e-mail, that you have received when the PIN has been consumed to access your product key.

  • Local access only on wireless network

My laptop (Toshiba Satellite L350-203 with Vista SP1 HPE) has lost the ability to connect to the internet using my home network. I have McAfee Internet Security and charge of IE8, but both were present before the problem appeared. My home network is now displayed as 'unidentified public network' and the laptop has "local access only". He seems unable to keep the WEP key for the network as it asks everytime I try to connect. I confirmed that the WEP key is correct. There are 3 other computers in the House that connect without a problem, so I guess that the router is not the source of the anomaly. I tried accessing another network to another place (with any necessary safety information) but get the same result, so that other computers can connect successfully. I am able to access the internet via an account mobile broadband (using a "dongle"), but I added this account after the problem appeared, so once I don't suspect it as being the culprit. Diagnosis in the "network and sharing Center" routines are unable to solve the problem, so any help is most welcome.

    Roy Mac

    Hello Roy Mac,

Thank you for using the Microsoft Windows Vista Forums.

You receive an error or the error codes when you try to connect?  You're obviously network savy upward so if something seems repetitive please ignore, you tried to delete the location and replace?   Is there any software for the high account mobile broadband that could changed settings?  Are you able to connect to the router with an ethernet cable access to the internet without problem?

A wireless network uses authentication and encryption to help stay secure. Authentication controls access to the wireless network. Encryption helps to ensure that malicious users cannot determine the contents of wireless data frames.  Windows Vista includes a new wireless network configuration setting. The new setting indicates whether a wireless network is broadcast or not broadcast. You can also use the new configuration setting that a Windows Vista wireless client connects to a non-broadcast network.

I've added two links below one for Microsoft and one for the installation of networks and networks the Toshiba site.  Please let us know status.   Thank you!

The software that you used with Windows XP to connect to wireless networks is not compatible with Windows Vista. Alternatively, you can use Windows Vista to configure wireless networks.

To connect to a wireless network in Windows Vista, follow these steps:

    1. click on Start

    Collapse this includes this image

, then click on connection to.

    2. click on the wireless network you want to connect, and then click connect.

Note During the connection process, you may be prompted for a key WEP Wired Equivalent Privacy (). If you do not have this key, contact the network administrator to help wireless.

    Dear Sir.

I use a computer dell laptop with the windows 7 Home premium operating system. This operating system is installed by dell, when I bought the laptop. Now, because of my technical software (connected to the electrical & electronic engineering software application) goal I want to change Windows XP service pack 2 operating system. But while I'm trying to install windows xp my system shows that the most recent version available in your pc. Because of that I could not able to format my drive c also. Please suggest me how to install windows xp on my laptop.
original title: change of operating system problem

Before you go to the Dell support website and search the Windows XP drivers for your specific model number. Using your Dell's Service tag number is the fastest way to get the correct drivers.
    http://support.Dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=Gen

If there are drivers Windows XP download, then all the (each in its own file name: drivers card mother/chipset, SATA, Firewire (1394), LAN, USB, Audio, Etc., and so on) and then burn all the files of driver on a CD or a DVD.

If no XP driver is listed for you brand and model, then probably XP does not work on your laptop.
