Local adjustment brush cursors have disappeared

I did a reinstall, repair actually LR 2.6 blue screen errors (which not turned out be associated LR) and now my local adjustment brush cursors are gone! I have the old style, one slider with the other controls being + & - buttons. I have no idea what else is gone, but I want my back sliders.

That's happened? LR says it's the latest version.

Jim,

In the upper right corner of the Panel brush is a small button whte. It is on the same line as "setting:

  • Problem with the local adjustment brush

Problem with the local adjustment brush:

Tire of a photo with the iso 6400 to a person and I wanted to increase the exposure of the face only. So I set the exposure compensation of at least 4 local adjustment brush, in order to see where I paint. In earlier versions of lighroom I got a smoth black area. My intention was, and then adjust the brightness to + 0.33 in order to get a slightly lighter face. But I have no black smoth area. Instead, I largely perforated black area. After setting the exposure to + 0.33, the face was indeed more light, but with many large tasks very ugly.

    The brush settings:

    Fat / size was 7.1.

Weiche Kaiser / smoth edge was 50.

    River / stream was 60.

    Dichte / density was 100.

    Automask has been verified.

    Any ideas?

Maybe it's because you have "Auto mask" checked the.  Uncheck the box before painting to see if that helps.

  • Why my adjustment brush does not disappear in the center of my photo?

I've recently upgraded from a PC to a MacBook Air and find that my adjustment brush is not working properly. Note: I have not upgraded to version 4.3 on my PC, so this may indeed be the question.

With this in mind, my adjustment brush appear on the edges of all my photos, however, if I try to use it in the middle of my picture it does not and does not work if I want my cursor down. However, if I start on the edge and then move to the Center it works. No one knows how to fix this problem, so I can use the brush where I want on photography?

    Thank you!

Could be due to a corrupted preferences file. This file can go 'funny' and is then responsible for all types of strange behavior of Lr. The repair is to replace the preferences file.

See here for where to find the preferences for your operating system file: http://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/preference-file-locations-lightroo m - 4.html

Thank you! I didn't know that they were called edit pins. In if someone else never looks it: apparently by clicking on "control h" when using the adjustment brush solves the problem too.

  • Adjustment brush works incorrectly between certain values of the brush size

I am running Windows 7 64 bit on my PC with Lightroom 4.4.  When I resize my adjustment brush cursor by using the wheel of scrolling between certain values the brush cursor changes shape to the usual circular slider for a semicircular slider crushed. Below certain levels, the brush changes from the circular single slider to two small sliders and values less than four small sliders.  Can anyone help. My usual mouse is a Dell USB with scroll wheel and my keyboard is a Microsoft multimedia keyboard.

I tried the following to any available-

Check the BIOS to USB mouse is on

    I've tried different mouse (manufacturers)

    Hi snowynorman,

Could you please share a screenshot of your adjustment brush in Lightroom?

Usually, two circles appear when you have a good pen of value.

In addition, suggest you try to change the size of the brush manually via the cursor or up and down arrow keys on your keyboard to check if you still see this type of behavior.

    Kind regards

  • Someone at - it problems with local adjustment in Lightroom 6?

Software is allowing changes with the local adjustment brush but not displayed selection when I return to photo to refine or make changes.

As it is I have to understand it the first time or start from scratch. Can't not with Radial, graduated filter, or spotting. This suggests that it is a software bug rather than a hardware problem.

Pressing H (shortened to hide/show tools) solve the problem?

  • Adjustment brush - complete list under effect appears not.

Hi, ' am a new user of LR3.2 running on iMac and Macbook Pro. On my iMac, I could see the complete list of the effects of adjustment brush, but for the last two days, I see only half top choices i.e., Exporsure to color and the choice of a half i.e. background burn on money laundering teeth are not visible.  However, LR3.2 on my Macbook Pro works well and shows all the choices. Would be grateful if anyone has any suggestions / solution to my problem.

    gummybear (like Nick).

The second half of the 'effects' see you in the drop-down list are custom created Local adjustment presets, which do not seem to be present on both of your machines.

Go to Preferences (predefined settings tab) and click on "show Lightroom Presets folder... ». You will be directed to the lightroom presets folder in the finder. In the LR presets folder, you will see a folder named "Local adjustment presets", in which are the custom presets. Copy those to your iMac to your Macbook Pro.

You can also try clicking on "Restore Local adjustment presets" first, but this will restore not Local adjustment presets could have created yourself, only those supplied with LR3.2.

Why are there differences in the option? Is it because it is a trial version? Someone, please help me.

    Thank you

Scroll the camera Calibration Panel. Choose process: 2012 for the image. The reason why you do not see the sliders, it is that the image is currently using an older process, an earlier version of Lightroom.

  • How to increase or decrease the effect of an adjustment brush in Lightroom CC? In Lightroom 5, I could hover over the PIN and drag the two-way arrow left or right. This feature seems to have disappeared in the CC version.

How to increase or decrease the effect of an adjustment brush in Lightroom CC? In Lightroom 5, I could hover over the PIN and drag the two-way arrow left or right. This feature seems to have disappeared in the CC version.

I'll answer one of your three messages that asked this question.  If possible, please remove the other two.

Hover and dragging moves the axis as it should.  The cursor turns into a hand to indicate the area brushed, it moves.

Hover over the pin code, press the Alt/Opt key and drag left and right and the effect will become less and more.   The cursor turns into a two-headed arrow to indicate that the function of the drag has changed.  If you are not hovering over a pin code and press the Alt/Opt, then the cursor turns into a brush to erase to remove the adjustment every time you paint.

  • 5 Lightroom adjustment brush has disappeared, just the cursor of the watch. I don't know what size I use. Just happened without reason. Looked in the Pref and there nothing to adjust, etc.

Just using the adjustment brush in Lightroom 5 on a picture and suddenly the circles brush missing lmao! Cannot find anywhere to return, thought that maybe I hit a button accidentally turning off or something. All I get is the mouse cursor while I use the brush, but I have no idea how the brush is large or where the hell the brush is used! Trying to close the Application and restart as you do, and nothing changes, still no brush.

  • CS5-Mac-RAW adjustment brush has disappeared!  Clone/spot tools do not work.

My adjustment brush does not display when I'm trying to use it.  Only a normal cursor appears.  The works of brush ghost, I don't control.

I also noticed that the tool clone and stain remover work well.  (I've been open images in PS to change instead of trying to use these tools.)

I do NOT have the cover lock and I restarted the program and the computer.  I did a disk utility clean up to make sure things were very good.

Hello, in photoshop cc 2014 my brush cursor disappears when I increase the size of my brush, I tried to disable the gpu in the preferences or remove preferences file, but still have the problem.

When I zoom I can increase the size but when im in 100% zom after size 50 my brush will disappear

It's a video card driver bug introduced in Mac OS 10.10 (who looks a lot like an old bug they fixed to 10.9).

Apple is aware of this and the other video driver issues in 10.10 and work on solutions.

  • my brush cursor disappear when I Zoom

    Hello

My Photoshop has been upgraded to CS5.5 now.

When I used my circle before Brush tool, I can see the size of my brush in a circle so

I know where to paint them. Now the circle disappears when I use my brush tool when you zoom in on the picture.

I have change the cursors in the preferences, I put it to the normal brush tip and full size brush tip.

Same thing again. I only saw the brush of the circle all looking at my picture to 100%.

When I zoomed in more than 100%, the brush circle disappeared and is replaced by a quarter circle.

    See the image before.

    the normal brush cursor?

    Thank you.

Most likely, as others post this same problem in this forum, you have a video card driver NVidia more former that you have not successfully updated for a year or two.

Go update the driver from the NVidia website.

  • Accept/reject changes and adjustment brush buttons disappeared

The buttons that appear at the bottom of the develop Panel when you use the adjustment brush, GND filter, crop tool, etc., have STOPPED appearing on my version.  I can accept the changes by clicking on the brush, ND filter, etc., but have no way to refuse the changes other than to go back in history.  In addition, the button that displays the adjustment as a "painted" area brush disappeared with the rest, and so I never see specifically the area I want to work on.  I thought that maybe I did something hidden or disabled these buttons, but I can't find such an action.  Any ideas on that?  Thanks for any help.

If you are in the adjustment brush, press the T key.
