localhost problem

Good day everyone.

For the moment, I am unable to access www.apple.com. Whenever I try to access the site, it brings me to the html page "it works!" Please give me steps on how to restore the files to the Web server in my mac. Thank you.

You, or someone else using your computer, may have hacked the system to redirect requests on some servers. The modified file is/etc/hosts.

The best way to solve the hosts file is to restore from a backup prior to the change, or copy the file unmodified from another Mac. There is sometimes a copy unmodified with the name "hosts ~ orig" next to file hosts changed on the same Mac; If so, you can copy the contents of this file in the hosts file. Ask for advice if you need it.

If you can not do everything above, please see below.

Back up all data before proceeding.

If you have more than one user account, you must be logged in as an administrator.

Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select this option:

open -e /etc/hosts

Copy the selected text in the Clipboard by pressing Control-C key combination.

Launch the Terminal application integrated in one of the following ways:

☞ Enter the first letters of his name in a Spotlight search. Select from the results (it should be at the top).

☞ In the Finder, select go utilities ▹ of menu bar or press the combination of keys shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.

☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.

Paste in the Terminal window by pressing Command + V. I tried these instructions only with the Safari browser. If you use another browser, you may need to press the return key after pasting.

Should open a TextEdit window. At the top of the window, you should see this:

### Host Database## localhost is used to configure the loopback interface# when the system is booting.  Do not change this entry.##127.0.0.1                              localhost255.255.255.255          broadcasthost::1                                        localhost

Below, you can see a few other lines. The first 9 lines should be exactly as before, except for differences in the empty space in the lines. Otherwise, you cannot use this procedure - STOP and ask for advice.

If the content of the TextEdit window is described and there are extra lines in the file, close the window, and then enter the following command in the Terminal window in the same way as before (by copy and paste):

sudo sed -i~ '10,$d' /etc/hosts

This time you will be prompted for your login password, which are not displayed when you type. Type carefully, and then press return. If you do not have a password, you will need to configure one before you can run the command. You can get a warning to be careful. Confirm. Leaving the Terminal.

If you see a message that your user name "is not in the sudoers file", then you have not logged as an administrator. Log in as one and start over.

Who will set the hosts file. There is now a copy of the old file hosts with the name ' guests ~ "in the same folder as"hosts ". You can remove the copy if you wish. Do not delete the file named "hosts".

If you have installed PHP using the Windows Installer, you must select
mbstring, mysql, mysqli, and all the other extensions that you want in the
installation process. Otherwise, Setup will not copy the good
DLL files to your system. There is a tutorial to install PHP on my

  • problems with localhost

Right after the update to Firefox 7 I can not move around localhost as usual. I type a url and get a Google search rather than the page you are looking for. How can I get the previous version back so that I can get some work done? And why you hide the http://? It seems to me that you might be trying to emulate Microsoft at work (doesn't) like Microsoft.

    Home page... I'm coming...
    cow of localhost/taste.

    you need to get to...
    cow/backend of localhost/taste.

    Just get Google search.

Hi, I also have this problem.

Until there is an official update for this problem, you can work around it by changing a topic: configuration option.

Get the full URL in Firefox 7

    1. in the URL in Firefox toolbar, type: subject: config and accept the pop-up message.

    2. research: browser.urlbar.trimURLs.

    3. double-click or right-click and select "toggle" to change the false value.
Now you will have the full HTTPS or HTTP in the URL if you will be not confused on the question of if you visit a secure site.

This will allow you to visit again localhost.

  • HTML Page Windows7-XP localhosted compatibility problem

Hello everyone this is my first time doing a Web page, so I'm quite the noob, and I'm having a very difficult problem, I made a Web page using Dreamweaver CS4 on Windows 7, a lot of images, audio, backgrounds, etc. The thing is... If I send (all the folder images, sounds, etc.) to people who use XP, they see only the text, nothing else, if I send it to people who use Win7, they can load the entire page, so the problem lies in the image code, I know that the locations are different between Xp and 7, Yes, is there a way to make the operating system independent Web page? I can't even edit img src code, it's as < img src = "Dreamweaver.png" / > and if I inspect it with opera, it looks more to "file://localhost/C: / Users/Administrator/Desktop/Steluta/Dreamweaver.png. Is there a way to fix this without starting to scrap?  I tried moving them to drive C:\ and no chance after saving them... I know that xp is more like C:\documents and settings\user\desktop\steluta\dreamweaver.png, but I want the Web page to be compatible with xp and 7, it is a duty I have to do and I do not know what operating system the school has.  I would be deeply recognizing a solution, I would also like to run from a CD Web page... Thank you very much in advance xD!

problem lies in the code of the image, I know that the locations are different between Xp and 7, Yes, is there a way to make the Web page independent of the operating system? I can't even edit img src code, it's as and if I inspect it with opera, it's more like file://localhost/C: / Users/Admin/Desktop/Steluta/Dreamweaver. png.

Seems to me you're moving things and going through a lot of unproductive trial and error without a clear idea of what the problem is, or what to do about it. Just try different theories with fingers crossed will make things worse gradually.

Time to take a step back, to slow down and understand the issue. Then fix it.

This has nothing to do with what OS view you the site with (Windows 7, XP, Mac OSX, or other). Web sites are independent of the operating system. It's one of the reasons why the web works so well.

Of after what you have told us so far, it has everything to do with the incorrect file paths in the code.

Work within a site set correctly in DW?

    http://www.Adobe.com/devnet/Dreamweaver/articles/first_website_pt1.html

Can you put a link to the page of issue somewhere online?

Otherwise, can you post the code - all for the page here - it?

  • Problem with URL localhost Web Server page

I can not open my Web server via the browser page, but he had a different address when I click it?

When I click on it it gives me:

    file:///applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/htdocs/mytestwebsite%20/index.htm

If I want to open it, it should be sufficient to write:

    localhost/mytestwebserver/index.htm

or should I write more about after "localhost".

    Thank you

You named your file mytestwebsite with space at the end which turns into URI mytestwebsite % 20. You must delete the space between the name of the folder or try to use localhost/mytestwebserver%20/index.htm or create the virtual host.

  • Why is my bookmark 'localhost' changes to a Google search?

When I 'Bookmark this Page' while watching a localhost/~username/target.html file, the current bookmark is initially correct, but then changes to a long Google search, I did a week ago. But when I bookmarked 127.0.0.1/~username/target.html, he gets a bookmark correctly and that it is correct. This started happening in FF v.41. I took screenshots to show the change in what I asked, and what I got. Note the time of these screenshots and the time of entry in the Notes. The first is when I have "Show all bookmarks" is opened and set bookmark the page. I closed the window of the library, and then made "Show all bookmarks" once again, the entry had changed. It makes no sense to me.

Well, this uRL was so long that I didn't know what it was for sure. It took me to my Google Sites page on the problem of the assistive devices on Yosemite.

I bypassed THIS problem by changing my favorites and change all occurrences of '//localhost' to ' / / 127.0.0.1. " It works all the time. Perhaps this bad URL was taken from history, so I deleted my URL history, and now 'localhost' also works.

Thanks for listening. I'll mark this as "resolved", although it is still a mystery.

  • Unable to connect to localhost

    Hello

Today I seem to have a strange problem with Firefox 31, I'm not sure when this problem started as I did not focus on this project for about 2 weeks. I have a PHP development running on localhost port 8000 server using the following command: "bin\php s localhost:8000 - c php.ini" (without the quotes)

On trying to connect to this server through Firefox I am presented with "Firefox can't establish a connection to the server 127.0.0.1:8000." message adjusts to show the "localhost:8000" when the method connection, I tried run Firefox in Mode safe mode and reinstall Firefox also change the 'No proxy' network settings 'the System Using proxy settings.

I am able to connect through Chrome, IE and also by running a cURL command.

    Hi guis2,

If you go back to the page that you linked to, it seems that the IPv6 section applied to my question a little. For some reason any network.dns.disableIPv6 was already set to true but once I put it on false localhost:8000 started working.

  • JavaScript does not seem to work on localhost.

I use Firefox on Windows 7 27 and - apparently - all of a sudden, JavaScript has completely stopped working for Web sites on localhost. I have tried to disable my Add - ons, restart Firefox, empty my cache memory, experiment with the simplest script (basically just a prompt alert() which works fine in other browsers), but nothing. I load the page and nothing happens. Firebug (when I activated) detects even not all of the scripts in my localhost pages! The same pages work well if they are hosted somewhere else, however. Help?

You can try a new profile?

Create a new profile as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problems.

    See "create a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a profile in the new profile, but be careful not to copy files corrupted to avoid transporting on the problem.

If this always happens with a new and clean profile the most likely cause is that you have security software that blocking this JavaScript.

  • Lack of files - Itunes added localhost prefix of music files

I had all my music stored on my laptop Windows 10 at home and saved 2 portable drives separate (one in the other NTFS and ExFat format) to be doubly sure. I would like to use one of these return of records in conjunction with a smaller laptop Windows 10 to replicate the playlists on the phone at home, i.e. running the smallest pc directly from the external hard drive (shift + library ITunes/choice /.. .locate library on mobile drive.etc) until recently, it worked like a dream - no missing file on smaller pc that I would use if going to parties etc.

My most wholesale laptop crashed and burned last week and needed to be restored to its original Windows 8 State (should have before the two laptops were improved Win8 to Win10). Both PCs have Itunes 12.4 but with slightly different screen setup - Win 10 'Bought' appears in the library at the top left with the music and the music video, Win8 it appears as a playlist also there is no drop down 'View As' top menu right Edit Playlist in Win *.

Decide now run all my media from an external drive on the laptop over to the future I have attached, has chosen library and changed Itunes Media folder in Edit/Preferences/Advanced accordingly.  Now on a single disc 3000 + files have disappeared '!' and on the other drive 8000 +.  All tracks can be located in their original location on portable hard drives but when you use Get Info/file, the location of her missing track //localhost/G:/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Music/unknown artist/Unknown Album / Katy B - Katy B - I want to Be.mp3 as opposed to the G:\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Music\Elisa\Unknown Album\No Hero.mp3 found track as you can see it Itunes has not only added the //localhost/ prefix but also changed all of the / of their original.   NB this particular example was artist/album unknown etc, but the same applies with album/artist

I tried to find some leads and allowing ITunes to use the automated 'use this location to find missing persons files' and he is never able to. ("Itunes is unable to locate the missing files 3000")  I slipped and fell from entire media folder in Itunes ("adding leader").  I tried to delete the file Itunes Library ITL and allowing Itunes to rebuild from the Itunes library by then XML import playlists from the XML file. I tried "fix the Itunes for Windows security permissions. I tried opening the library Itunes XML file in Notepad (text editor) - while I can find and replace the //localhost/ I can't replace all of / with-these appear in other channels (or can I?). Is there a script that can be run on Windows 8 or 10 to find the missing pieces and if so how or these scripts work only on Apple hardware?

I kept back ups of previous before the accident and even libraries attempt to cast these on the smallest laptop Win 10 now present the same problem. Grateful for any help

The "missing file" error occurs if the file is no longer where iTunes is expected to find. Causes possible is that you or a third-party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, one of its parent folders, or the reader, he feeds has been a change to the drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from waiting for the files in the presentation of pre-iTunes 9 post-iTunes 9 layout, or vice versa, and so looking for a bit in the wrong place. (In the case of a library moved from one system to the other there is also the potential permissions problems. (See the fix for iTunes for Windows security permissions if this could apply.)

Select a track with an exclamation point, use Ctrl - I to get the information, and then click No when asked to try to locate the track. (Because of a bug in iTunes 12 you currently have to say no twice!) Look under the Summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks that the file should be. Now look around your hard drive. I hope you can locate the track in question. If a part of your library has just been moved, renamed a folder or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse actions. If the difference between the two railroads is an additional music directory in a path, then it is a problem of layout. I can explain more if this is the case.

In some cases, iTunes may be able to repair itself if you go through the same steps with Get Info, but this time, click on search and browse the lost track. He peut then offers to try to automatically correct the other broken links. Although he said something like 'use the same location' expects to find the titles in the same provision of the artist / album that it generates, and not all in a big file.

If another application like Windows Media Player has moved/renamed files then the chances are that subtle differences in naming strategies will make it difficult to restore media on the precise way that iTunes is expected. In this case, as long as the missing files somewhere, you should be able to use my FindTracks script for reconnecting to iTunes. See this post for an explanation of how it works.

    Hello everyone

I have a few problems on my LAN to my mac pro book. I try to connect to the LAN servers on various different pieces of software running on different machines, but my mac does not collect and connect to external servers on 127.0.0.1.

The IP address 127.0.0.1 is localhost. In other words, incoming 127.0.0.1 point to the computer you are on. https://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/localhost

It has nothing to do with the connection with servers on your local network.

  • ITunes consolidation problem

If Itunes the other day has decided to return to the folder default itunes media rather than one I chose to use and use successfully for several years. Of course all of the links broken and I couldn't play anything. I'm now trying to get back links by moving to a new folder of media and peacebuilding then files. However, when I try and consolidate the files, he chooses about 10 artists of the hundreds that I and then stops. Meaning that it only transfers those files to the new folder and will play only those of itunes. There is no middle ground between one of these files, they were all in exactly the same folder as the rest of my files so I don't know why it is only to consolidate those. Any help much appreciated. Extremely frustrating!

    Thank you

Consolidating can only consolidate what he can find. I suspect that you tried to move things by hand which generally not well down.

The "missing file" error occurs if the file is no longer where iTunes is expected to find. Causes possible is that you or a third-party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, one of its parents, or the reader, records it feeds has been a change in the letter of the drive or you have moved a non-portable library to a different path (see make a split cell library for more details). It is also possible that iTunes has changed from waiting for the files in the presentation of pre-iTunes 9 post-iTunes 9 layout, or vice versa, and so looking for a bit in the wrong place.

Select a track with an exclamation point, use Ctrl - I to get the information, and then click No when asked to try to locate the track. • Toshiba e-Studio 167: printing documents ODT LibreOffice 4 Linux problem

    Hello

I'm trying to solve a problem when I try to print some documents ODT of LibreOffice 4 (13.04 Ubuntu operating system) on a Toshiba e-Studio 167 printer.

I have not received any response from my service technical so I hope someone can help me here.

When the document contains fonts as liberation, liberation Serif, etc., I get a printed page with the following error:

    ERROR:
    invalidfont
    THE OFFENDING COMMAND

    BATTERY:

    WASRNP + LiberationSerif
    --nostringval--

    --nostringval--
    --nostringval--
    17

However, if export ODT file in PDF format and print PDF files or if I print another PDF Acrobat file, it is not a problem. It works too, if I print a document Word (doc) opened to LibreOffice (usually with a Times New Roman font); in this case, LibreOffice indicates that the document has Times New Roman font, although it is not installed on the system, at least I can't see fonts in the drop-down list. In these cases, that the document prints well, but the new ODT documents with fonts system fail, what happens?

If I print in a local printer (HP Laserjet 1020), he has no problem with any document.

I tried to apply the solution given in the son, but if I change the type of PostScript printer language, I get the same error:

    https://AskUbuntu.com/questions/68909/problem-printing-in-LibreOffice-writer-but-not-in-Adobe-Acrobat-Reader-or-Evolut

This is how I installed the printer driver:

    https://localhost:631
    Administration-> "Add printer".
The wizard has automatically detected the network printer: Toshiba e-Studio 167 Foomatic / Postscript (en)

This site says that the printer works under linux:

  • Problems move iTunes to new computer Windows 10

My apologies in for raising this issue again, but I searched here and all over the web and can't seem to find an answer to my question.

My old laptop Win 7 died a few weeks ago.  My new laptop is Win 10.  Fortunately, although the old machine is kaput, I managed to remove the HARD disk and all data was still in tact and accessible.  I moved the folder the folder iTunes music on my old HDD to my music folder on my new computer.  I moved also all of my actual files of original music for the new computer; Once again, all in the same exact location.  I have also authorized the new computer in iTunes.

However, when I run iTunes, even if all my albums appear, when I try to play a song that I get the dreaded dialog box that says: "the song _ could not be used because the original file cannot be found. You want to locate? "and even more formidable exclamation point appears next to the songs.

I followed every piece of advice that I can find; I have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes several times; I installed iTunes and moved the old iTunes folder in different orders. I copied tried copying the contents of the iTunes folder from my old computer into the iTunes folder on the new computer, when I recently install iTunes.  Nothing works.

I also noticed that on my old machine, the iTunes database (file * .itl) was actually in the iTunes of parent folder, whereas, when I install iTunes from scratch, the default location for the iTunes database (file * .itl) was in the iTunes media subfolder.  I tried to set up my iTunes 'old' folder in the two formats when I copy on the new machine, but doesn't seem to make a difference.

I know that I could go and use the option 'Search' for each album, but it is an extremely difficult task because of the large amount of music I have in iTunes.

No matter what I do, iTunes can't find the original music files, even when I go in the Advanced preferences and redirect manually to the * file itl.  I can't help thinking that at the wrong place simply indicates the file *.til, and I don't know how to change it.

The only things I can think of that might be the cause of the problem are:

    1. is this something from Win 7 to Win 10 (seems unlikely, because others have not reported this problem); or

2 would it be that the drive letter and path where my music folder is on my new machine are both different from my old machine?

On my old machine, I had a c: / partition that contains the programs and the operating system and a d: / partition for data, where my music folder.

On the new machine the OS and data are stored on the c: / drive. It is "hid" d: / partition with data recovery.

Also, on the old machine, my data stored in a folder of the user who was named with my first name (e.g. D:/users/FirstName/music).  But, when I created my account on the new machine to win 10 automatically named my user folder by appropriating the first 5 letters of the email address that I used, I understand is standard to win 10 (for example, C:/users/Email/music).

These are guesses, but I'm all out of ideas.  Is it possible that someone here might be able to help me to rectify this situation?  Sorry to be so long-winded, but hope the more information, more likely it is, I'll be able to find a solution.  Thanks in advance for any guidance.
