Unable to connect to 127.0.0.1 LAN network problems

Hello everyone

I have a few problems on my LAN to my mac pro book. I try to connect to the LAN servers on various different pieces of software running on different machines, but my mac does not collect and connect to external servers on 127.0.0.1.

I have the suspicion that it might be something to do with my connection to localhost. I can't connect to 127.0.0.1 when I use 'Ping 127.0.0.1' or 'Ping Localhost', it returns nothing.

Additional information;
I can connect to the internet fine.

I have a default hosts file

I disabled my firewall and my little snitch program

I use a Mac book pro on OSX Mavericks 10.9.2

Here are a few commands that I found other threads of support that might be useful in diagnosing the problem.

The IP address 127.0.0.1 is localhost. In other words, incoming 127.0.0.1 point to the computer you are on. https://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/localhost

It has nothing to do with the connection with servers on your local network.

    Hello derekd01,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that you are unable to connect wireless Officejet 8600 because you receive a message "this feature has been locked by your system administrator. I will do my best to help you!

There is an administrator through the Embedded Web Sever settings, but in order to access it, it must be connected to a wireless network. Unfortunately, you are unable to access the wireless configuration. There are two options you can try:

    (1) you can connect an Ethernet cord, and then go to the Embedded Web Sever.

    (2) you can install the printer on your computer by a USB cable. Complete installation, and then follow this HP document convert a connected USB printer wireless. Once this operation is complete, you can access the Embedded Web Sever.

Once you get this printer, follow these steps in the Embedded Web Sever:

    (1) at the very top of the page, click on settings, then password settings
    (2) if there is a username and password, please remove this item and click on apply

Please post your results, I will be looking forward to hear from your part have a good night!

  • Windows 8 user unable to connect to the public AT & T Wifi networks (McDonald's, Starbucks, FedEx desktop, etc.).

I searched here and I have not found anyone else with this issue, but I can't be the only one.

In the event that I am the first, my problem is that I can't connect to the public AT & T WiFi networks; McDonald, being the most common location.  It appears in the list of wireless networks, but it takes forever for the McDonald's to open web page in the box that says something like "Connect to the Internet" or words to that effect.  Finally after clicking this check box, a message appears at the bottom of the page indicating that the webpage is not responding; Click to refresh it.  No matter how many times I try it, nothing happens.

I have Windows 8 on a Toshiba Satellite.  It's a new laptop comes with Windows 8; No updates to otherwise than to buy this new laptop.

What is strange, is that I am on a WiFi network at the moment.  "Wandering WiFi" to be precise.  But I tried to get on AT & T at Starbucks earlier this evening and had the same success that I had at McDonald's.

I'm pretty sure that I don't mess with settings wireless on my pc but I can't say that for sure 100%.

Sorry to see that you are having problems. Please, try the following.

    Restart the device

Make sure that all the updates have been applied.

    • Open the network connections Panel
    • Select the network connection corresponding to either right click (mouse) or hold by selecting (finger).
    • A Context Menu will appear. Please Select forgotten network.
    • After the network connection is dropped, please reconnect.

If that solves the problem then great! If this is not the case, let know us and we will try something else.

I went to purchase in the iTunes store on my computer, click report a problem for the application in the order and he took me to a Web page called 'Report a problem' and asked me to connect.  However, I enter my information and click on connect, but the page just refreshes and doesn't connect. I know that my sign in information is correct (in addition to using it in iTunes, I just used to login here to post this question) and I came many times to just in case there was a typo in with my password.  I tried a longer password and it gave me the error "your AppleID or your password was entered incorrectly" so he is grateful to my info... I tried to clear cookies and cache from my browser (Chrome).  I also tried to use Internet Explorer and Edge to connect, but both had the same problem.  I couldn't even find a way to contact Apple on this specific problem... their support menus not occurred for problems of website that I could find at least (if someone could point me to that, I can try that as well).

I had no problem connecting to https://reportaproblem.apple.com/ earlier. A temporary glitch perhaps?

    Hi guys!

I had my computer a little more than 6 months and suddenly came up with 2 problems!

First the LAN adapter seems to have deleted the drivers it is, in itself, and apparintly to remove the entire map in general.
I don't know how this can happen, because the computer was untouched for 3 months that I've been away!

Secondly the packed wireless, the wireless says he works on the Device Manager, but when I try to connect or never discover the networks, it will not let me connect and tells me that he cannot see the networks! When my brothers computer he can find same networks!

It is really strange and annoying reallllyyy!

    Thanks in advance.

    Carl.

Are updated Microsoft on automatic installation?

Try reinstalling the drivers LAN and WLAN.
Driver WLAN, you can find the Toshiba WLAN Portal under http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/
Maybe your brother is right settings WLAN. compare the settings with his computer and make sure you use the correct password if the WiFi network is protected.

  • LAN Internet - unable to connect to the Internet via a LAN cable

    Hello

I have an ASUS F3S laptop series running on Vista.

I went on vacation in early June this year and when

I got home that I could not access my internet broadband via the bootable.

I have an another old laptop which works fine using the local network.

I use the ASUS at work and you can get the internet via wireless LAN.

When I try to go online using the LAN laptop trying to access the internet

using the mini port WWAN and not the LAN port.

I have tried to replace the drivers and in desperation, have used the recovery

drive to get Vista back to its original setting.

I still do not have access via the LAN port.

    Any ideas?

    Sanquay

You must re-create the network connection Wireless LAN (remove the current which is probably set to use the mini port WWAN and create a new one) and specify the LAN port during installation.  This should solve the problem. Check out the following articles for some detailes, suggestions, troubleshooting instructions and general information that may be useful.  Pay special attention to how to remove a wireless/network connection as it differs from a regular connection, and if not done correctly can continue to exist when you think he's gone (and the system it shows same gone but is not).

  • HP Deskjet 3050 - unable to connect to the WPA secure wireless network

    Hello

My first post here so please excuse any misstep on my part.  I bought this HP Deskjet 3050 a week ago and have since been war with it.  I would be really grateful if someone could possibly give advice on how I can solve this problem.

I am unable to connect the printer to my secure wireless network, even if the other computers, cell phones, etc. are connected without problem.  I tried WPA, WPA2 and WPA2-Mixed modes with the same failure security. Specifically, the 66% reached Connection Wizard, then displays the error that the wizard can not find/network printer.  If I disable the security, the printer connects very well.

I use a Linksys WRVS4400N router with firewall and associated firewall disabled settings.  The router broadcasts on 802. 11 g / N mixed mode.

I install the software provided on the CD for installation on a Windows XP SP3 System.  I confirmed that the PC and the printer are connected to the network are the same.

The issue as well, if you will allow me: I have not yet tried these drivers, but I see there are any updated drivers for the printer in date from 14/12/2010.  The release notes indicate the improvement of networks, but do not develop beyond that.  Does anyone know if there was a known problem with the connection to secure networks that has now been corrected?

Finally, just a note that I am partially blind and using a screen on all systems reader.  I'll try my best to be as helpful as I can to please forgive me if I can't find the settings, etc. on screen and sometimes need help for a little more detail.

Thanks in advance for your help, I really enjoyed.

    Have a nice day,

All the best for now and take care,

    Hussein.

It is not the fact that it is impossible, is the fact that this was not done, yet.

    Hello

first of all, my apologies for the delay getting back to you.  Poor health means that I had little time or want to do great thing on the side of the computer of htings.

In any case, I am please to say the problem with the HP 3050 failing to connect to my network is now resolved.  There seems to be a bug with the installer, and that seems to include the version the most recent publication Dec 2010.

To resolve this problem, I did the following:
    1. disable all security for the network options, so it's just an open network.
    2. connect the HP 3050 to the network by using the installation wizard. This time it connected OK for me.
    3. Locate the IP address of the printer.  I used the table of customer list accessed by my router interface. You may be able to get this through the printer on the menu screen, but as I am partially blind, it wasn't an option for me.
    4. Enter the control panel of the printer to http://ip.address.of.printer for example http://192.168.2.108
    5. under Advanced options, configure the network settings, including the password and the Security Protocol.  Don't forget to enter the SSID of the network exactly as it is configured on the router.
    6. apply settings, disconnect from the control panel of the printer.
7 log in the router configuration panel and re-apply the security options.  Make sure they match these match those entered for the printer.

I hope it will be useful to others in the same position.

    Thanks again for your time.

    Best,

    H.
