Once they are checked, of course. If you want to keep a backup, you can move the zip file in your documents folder.

In fact, you can delete everything in the temporary folder that is not currently in use. Best time to do this removal is immediately after the start, before launching other applications.

  • Deleted files are located in the search

I deleted files of documents to a certain location on my computer. Well, after a few days, I find the file deleted by name, and I have seen a miracle, the files are exist in my pc but I can't open those. who are only image. How can I delete a file or folder without images or shortcuts?

This is probably because deleted files are still in the search Index - this is how it works under Vista.  Try to rebuild the search Index: http://www.tech-recipes.com/rx/2103/vista_rebuilding_the_search_index/.  Wait until she finishes (it may take a while) and then try the search for files deleted - they will show no doubt is no longer.

  • System restore recover deleted files?

System restore do not know or care about your personal files.

If you accidentally delete a file, and it is not recoverable from the Recycle Bin, there are third party tools that you can watch to see if they can recover your lost files.  In general data from the 'deleted' files remain on the hard drive until the premises they occupy is needed for something else, while the space where your deleted file is crashed.

Keep in mind that you "use" your disk and read/write data, less your chances of file recovery will be since XP can decide to use this area of the disk where the deleted file is.  So, if you delete something by mistake, you should try to recover as soon as POSSIBLE.

Some people have good result with this free tool (you can use Google to find others):

    Recuva

If you want to try it out, install it, make a few temporary files or copy some files somewhere in another folder/location and remove the temporary or copied files on purpose.

Then see if Recuva will get it for you.

If you don't like it, uninstall it.  Sometimes I install just to recovery a file (s), then uninstall it when I'm done.

    Hello

    1. where are the files located?
    2. are you able to open this file?

This can happen if the file is used by some programs / demand or is corrupt.

    Follow these steps:

Method 1: Check if you are able to delete the files in safe mode.

When I delete the files in the box as they are supposed to go in the folder to be deleted, but since 04/10/13 I can't consult one of these deleted files.

Deleted items is probably damaged. On the off chance that you want messages to be saved in deleted items, (a garbage can), move them to a local folder, you create and then follow these steps.

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, the files of user OE (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

With OE closed, find the DBX file for deleted items and delete it.  Another will be created automatically when you open OE.

    General precautions for Outlook Express:

Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

Information on the maximum size of the .dbx files that are used by Outlook Express:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/?kbid=903095

After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.

Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.

Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the processors and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs and account setting changes. The best third party tool, you can use is the recovery of the PC a third-party tool...

If you copied or whatever installed to the location where the files have been deleted... then stop trying you Cann't get back them...

  • How can I delete files that will not be clear without "permission"?

I have a BACKUP folder on my drive C dating back to 2005, and who comes from another computer (XP). The record contains three, which in turn have subfolders and files. Security of the backup folder hidden controls on all ALLOW bos (inherited from the C drive) and so do its subfolders, but the lowest-level files do not have boxes to ALLOW or REMOVE permissions and add & DELETE buttons are shaded on (inioperable).

I read the information displayed under «I need permission for everything and don't know how to get it...» "dating from fevrier.09 onward and apparently their solution (and probably mine) is not yet available.  I am a Vista Home Premium 32-bit user and agree with comment abouit Vista of those displaying the site in question.

  • Tried to delete files on the desktop, but it showed "Item not found"!

I wanted to delete files on my desk. But he showed "Item not found", ask me to locate the file. But I searched the entire computer, the file is no longer exist. But he was still showing on the desktop!

What can I do to remove them? Because they are really boring!

Are you sure that it is a folder on your desktop and not just a shortcut (a link to the actual file)?  The actual file can be located elsewhere.

Check C:\Users\\Desktop, and see if the files are there.  If so, try removing them from there (instead of from the desktop).  It shouldn't make a difference, but it might work.

Try to use one of the following free products to remove the file/folder (from two places).  Assassin http://www.malwarebytes.org/fileassassin.php of files (with or without forcing the deletion: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/12/27/force-delete-cannot-delete-locked-or-in-used-files-or-folders-with-fileassassin/) or Unlocker to: http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Miscellaneous/Unlocker.shtml.  These programs often work when normal functions remove Vista not work correctly.

Search for files in Vista is quite different that it was with XP.  To search for a file with a normal search in Vista, it should be in the index files or types of files - otherwise it will not come to the top.  You CAN get to get to a FULL player search.  To search for the folder C: whole disk in Vista go to start / search and type in ' or '. As you type, you'll see two hyperlinks appear just above where you type and we'll search everywhere.  A click on it.  Who will do a fast indexed search and bring up a dialog box.  Click on advanced search.  Click the drop-down location and find the C: drive and click on it. Check the box "include not indexed, hidden and system files (might be slow).»  Then click on search.  You will now search your entire hard drive to the specified file.  And Yes, this isn't a very effective way to search the entire disk for a file but it is how it is done in Vista.  Once you find the file, try to remove normally and if it does not then try to use both products above to see if you have a better chance.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Delete files in Windows 7

Cannot delete certain files/folders with Windows 7, cannot move permissions to TrustedInstaller to administrator, any ideas.

So, please answer the question: what is a simple way for us to delete files protected in W7?

    Hi Bob

The system files in Windows 7 is much more complex than previous versions of Windows.

There are a lot of files/folders that if they are deleted could render the system unusable.

It would be completely irresponsible automatically assume that any user is an advanced expert and he understands the consequences of deleting a critical file or folder. That's why we need to know the name and the location of the files/folders involved before posting any information on the withdrawal of their.

With W7, I can't install IE9 on the laptop from a friend, because IE8 files in the system that I can't "Uninstall" for a reason; It does not appear on the list of the programs and features Control Panel to uninstall.

  • Cannot delete file in windows Media Player

I can delete video files from Windows Media Player. I think that I deleted them before somehow but standard photos (balloon, balloons) always appear in video library for all deleted files and try right-click and delete is not remove them from the library. There is no error message when you try to remove them and when you try to play them you get Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file. I don't want to play the file I want to just delete it.

You probably need to reset the library to get rid of the files in the library. Note firstly reset the library will make you lose all play counts and ratings too. Then, follow these steps:

    -Restart the PC.
-Click Start, type services.msc in the search field and press ENTER. In Services, locate the Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service . If its status is started , double-click the service, and then click stop .
-Click Start, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft in the search field and press ENTER. This folder opens in Windows Explorer.
-In this folder, rename the folder Media Player as Old Media Player . If you do not see the folder, then it is probably hidden. Set Explorer to view the hidden files and folders and show protected system files.
-Launch WMP, your library will have been reset and will be rebuilt.
