  Follow this, but remember, if you reset the phone, you need to do this again

  1. press on button green phone left of the blackberry button.

  2. press the blackberry button.

  3. scroll to speed dial list.

  4. (you should be able to see all the contacts that you have assigned letters for) go to 'A' and press enter.

  5. Select a contact and press ENTER.

  I have a problem with my physical keyboard button "0 (ZERO). Initial it use to work as a 0 whenever you press it, do not hit alt for it to turn into 0. but now when you press the button GOOGLE NOW appears as the first option. I have to use the ALT option to change it to digital.

  I am a new convert to BlackBerry, I used to be dismissive of those who raved thereon, but since taking delivery of my camera last night and have BIS activated by my mobile network today I must say that I completely understood why people love so much.

  I have a Nokia 6700, which took place from Series 40 of their own operating system and had a feature that would lock the keypad after a user determined late, such a feature exists within the BB OS, and if so how to activate it?

  I only ask because I already updated my phone in a pocket of my bag back to work without blocking the keyboard that I forgot to take.

  What operating system did update you? On operating systems newer keyboard lock icon will not display until you have a password for security on the device.

  The keyboard lock icon was on the home screen until I installed the updates that have been sent to me today on my BB.  Now that the icon has disappeared.  Check the Section help and could only know how to lock or unlock the screen manually.  Check the instruction booklet provided with it. again without help.  Searched through the BB Curve Demo Online - still nothing on the addition of the back icon.  It was so easy just push this button and not to worry about the keys in my pocket or your purse... Please tell me there is a way to get this back... just bought this BB in June and a first I possessed and it is difficult to do without...   Hi and welcome to the Forums!

  Looks like you have updated to the point where the locking function changed. In older versions, you had an icon on the screen. In the latest versions, you use the power on top of the BB button do a keyboard lock. To get the icon back, you must activate a device password... then you will have an icon for Active password lock. How it works now, and the only way to change this is go back to a previous version, when the change was made.

  I just updated my Blackberry 9700 to firmware 5.0.0.59 3. I noticed that the AutoStandby 2.4.1 utility that locks the keyboard 30 seconds no longer works. An automatic keyboard lock is a very basic feature for each phone, and it would be good if it can be reinstated in a future firmware version. I use now ultimate lock, but this can only be enabled by the lock top-left button.

  I'm also a fan of the bedside mode because it prevents that the LED flashes at night and automatically profiles, when you put it in the module loading. Is there a way to stop the clock display while the phone is charging in bedside mode? I have already defined "Screen dark" to Yes but he always lit the room.

  I'm having a problem with the keyboard on my BB "BOLD".  Whenever I type - even if I touch only one key for a second - the character sleeps up to 5 times on the screen.  Its incredibly frustrating when texting speed.  If someone has experienced this problem and if so - do you know how to fix it?

  It sounds as if you have a phone to screen off.

  Go to the phone module, press the menu button, then go to Options. In Options, select General Options. In this list, I think that there is a setting to the homepage screen composition. Make sure that this option is selected and save the changes.
