LOCKED out BBM because of PASSWORD blackBerry Smartphones do NOT KNOW OR QUESTION FAST

My daughter tried to activate BBM7 on his phone - it did not work as she bit to enter his password (that she has forgotten) or his quick question (which she forgot also) how can regain us access to his account BBM? Hepatitis has spent ages on the phone for the Virgin who couldn't stop and the only assistance available the BBM seem to be various links of email that I do not understand that I'm a complete technophobe! All help gratefully received

This happened to me today.  Head to https://blackberryid.blackberry.com/bbid/login/ from a computer, click on forgotten password and follow the directions.

    Hi drlrz

Welcome to the Forums of the BlackBerry Support

If this password has been defined by any other then there is no way to pass without entering the password. If this phone is your the and there the set password so if you enter 10 incorrect password (by default) it will wipe the device. So best offer is to enter the wrong password it will wipe the device and it will be like new.

Ok. Let's start with: how many characters you use the password?

I don't remember the minimum number of characters in the password, it might be six, but why not try using a password with 6, I know full well that work of 8 characters.

Apparently, you have activated 2-factor authentication for your Google account. You will need to create a new password for specific application to Thunderbird.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones can not access Media card with BB Desktop or Media Sync 9700

The other day I received a Reburbed Bold 9700 update.

I use Ver 6 Deskstop OS and the 9700 is running device code latest version 5.

I have a Kingston 4 GB media card that I know is in place because the 9700 recognizes it and when I go to files and select the media card, I can see all the files on the card and when I take a picture it is written on the card so I know that memory is very good and he sees the 9700.

The problem I have is BB Deskstop or latest version of Media Sync to see so I can transfer files to and from my PC and the media card.

The error message that I receive on the two applications, it's that I have to turn on mass storage Mode.  When I look at my memory settings:

    Compression - enabled

Map of media Support - on

Mass Storage Mode Support - on

Auto enable mass storage Mode when connected - Yes

I formatted the card successfully on the BB.

I tried another card memory (2 GB) and also properly formatted as well.

I also tried another USB cable into another USB port.

I had a BB hard reset by pulling on the battery... several times.

I had another before Blackberrys and have never had a problem of access to the media card.  I would have thought that it is easier on the 9700.

I did search endlessly on the Web and saw other people with similar problems but many were so simple that the card is not seated properly and it also had the symptom that the BB is not recognizing the media card.  My BB recognize media cards and use them, but I can't access the card through my PC.  I understand that I may not see a pendrive pop up in Windows Explorer, but I can't understand why the BB Desktop or Media Sync cannot access.

I know that both of these applications communicate to the BB cause I get requests for passwords and the desktop, I can view all my applications and I used to update the device until the last OS level during the troubleshooting process.

I just wanted to see if anyone has experience this problem and has tips, if not I will contact AT & T or go into a local store to see if they can help.  I just think I'm missing something that I can take care off instead of my own.

    Thank you!

    Hello

Have you tried to connect the device on another computer?  If another computer to recognize the device, it may just be a case of bad USB drivers on your computer.

Here are some KB articles that may be able to help:

KB19717 - BlackBerry smartphone is not detected as a USB mass storage device when connected to a computer

KB10312 - impossible to display the map of support using the BlackBerry smartphone

You also need to remove the USB ports on your computer (using Device Manager), and then restart the computer to reload the correct drivers.

An alternative to this is to simply use a microSD card reader which allows you to use the microSD as a flash drive.

I hope that this info is another starting point for you!

    I can still load.

  • Password blackBerry Smartphones required to unlock Blackberry Curve 9300

    Hello

One word: HELP! This is so the case... a friend gave me a Blackberry Curve 9300 to use (cause it not to use) cause my old phone went kaput. in any case, I turned it on and I see a written screen KOODOO mobile (a telephone to the Canada company) and then immediately a screen saying "DEVICE is locked". When I choose to open it says "Enter password" and I can't get past this screen for something else. My friend doesn't remember the password. He had introduced FIDO sim card so I'm thinking that the phone is unlocked... I have a FIDO sim card also. Can someone help me understand this? What I have to go to the KOODOO store and ask them to unlock or to anyone who makes the unlocking the phones? Or can someone here help me? Thank you

Hello and welcome to the community!

BBs are very secure - only the password created by the user can unlock the BB. There is no password 'master' or 'ignore' to do so... only the password created by the user can do.

But, you can maybe in luck still... refer:

    • KB05099 Steps to take before selling or after the purchase of a used BlackBerry smartphone

No not the password the maximum time will initiate a WIPE on the device, which is part of these important instructions. But other measures in these instructions are also important to... by the seller and the buyer. Not well fill ALL risks instructions making the BB not fully usable by the buyer (you).

    Good luck!

  • HELP - 9520 blackBerry Smartphones do not connect to bbm/facebook app/no email

Facebook app connects - I get the message "cannot connect because a data service is not available...". ». When I try and send a photo on facebook... nothing, just to get the same message. So far ive been using the browser for Facebook that works very well, with wifi, so I know I can get internet.

Is that what Im missing? Everything I should have done when I got to the phone?

    Any ideas? Help, please!

    Thank you

    Calum

Sorry for this late reply, completely forgotten about this post, but better late than never just to get closure on this.

It was really simple, I just had to ring upward, my data service had not been activated. When I received the phone the sim card initially had not enabled so I had to ring upwards to activate this aswell, looks like they forgot to activate the services on my sim card at all.

Had no email either... still need to ring upwards to activate that.

Sorry again once and thank you for your answers.

  • BBM contact to restore blackBerry Smartphones

    Hello..

I have the BlackBerry Curve 9360 with BBM 6.x version.

A few months ago, I upgraded in BBM v7, which cause the BBM app runs slowly.

Then I tried to restore to previous version by myself (cloth, etc.), but still I did not downgrade from my BBM version.

I therefore decided to go to the service center and ask them to reset my phone in the State brand new.

For the moment, I was sure after I reconnect using the same Id BB BBM contacts will be restored automatically.

But after that I got my phone from the service center (BBM v6.2) and then tried to login using the same Id of BB, I found that the BBM contacts are all gone.

Unfortunately, I have no any external backup for BBM contacts.

I am a newbie in this stuff and need some information about several things:

    (1) does the v6.2 BBM version causing the contacts passed (is not) while using the same Id BB?

    (2) if so, if I upgrade to v7 and re-login using the same Id BB, will be my BBM contacts restored?

    (3) is it possible to use the v6.2 release and get restored BBM contacts?

    Thanks for your comments

    Hello gutijose14...

    Thank you for your comments,

After having had a problem with performance in the previous update, I think the upgrade to v7 or above will be my last option.

In any case, after searching in my PC, I found an old BB backup data using BB Desktop Software (*.bbb), and after I restored it on my camera, I found "BBM-(yy-mm-dd-hh-mm).bak" files in my BB device.

so I tried to restore my BBM contacts since the last file using surveys BBM-> Options-> system restore, and I managed to restore about 80-90% (because it is an old backup) my BBM contacts and I agree with it.

So, private affair and just a tip to all of you who read this post,.

Please download BB Destop software from the official website of BB and backup ALL your data on your PC now, even if it is not any problem with our unit right now,

because we do not know what will happen to our device in 2,3 or 4 weeks/months in the future...

It's always nice to have a backup.

    Concerning

  • Problem of password blackBerry Smartphones BB desktop manager

BB Desktop manager, I started and he asked the password for my BB so he could connect (all normal so far), I entered my password in the pc.

However, this time it does not accept the password and asked me to try again.

I tried several times, down until I had five tries, left.

I stopped DM and went to the BB to unlock it from there - I put my password and got the "wrong password."

I tried to enter again now instead of getting the prompt normal I get "Enter"Blackberry"to continue." and I do all the entries are hidden is no longer... I'm confused, because:

    1. I don't know that I entered the password on my PC in DM. I know, and I made sure that NUMLOCK or CapsLock shift were not on. I've never had any PW problem in the past.

    2. now is my last chance to enter the password correctly (9/10) and didn't back up my data
    Could someone help me please!

To add to what sdgarne said, for example,

If you thought that your password was "w123", try "wers".

The IPL has not changed, that's simply not what you thought it was, and you've discovered using a real/Desktop keyboard Manager.

  • My bb8250 blackBerry smartphones does not recognize my password

Hi there, I really hope you can help me with the following. My bb8250 all of a sudden does not recognize my password. It all started when I downloaded the BB desktop - manager on my mac. My mac wanted my password device but does not recognize. Then I unplugged both and now my bb does not recognize my password either! Be precize: it does not recognize my password device. But I can't get the lock handheld. When I type my password, it does not show the normal stars but shows letters I enter cijfers rather than the stars. When I use the alt key to enter the right code my bb is not recognize it in any case. I tried to restart it to take out the battery. That did not help. Now, I have only two shots left to enter the correct password. I'm trying not to panic, but it's a half life of a child in the photo is here, so I really really really really want to go into my bb again. Please could you help me? Thank you so much in advance! Best regards, K.

I'm back in! Always thought I had a 4-cijfer-password. I was wrong! I have changed every cijfer in the letter on the same key and who filled out my password and it worked! Yeeeh!

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not disable password on my 9320 curve smartphone

    Hello

To protect my phone against unauthorised access, I activated the password on my 9320 curve, so that it hangs after 5 minutes. It works well so far.

Today, I tried to sync my data with my PC via the BB desktop software. Now, this desktop application asks for the password, but does not accept the password that I entered into my phone.

I tried to disable the password protection by clearing the checkbox 'Activate' on the phone, but I can't do that (I can't click the "Enable" box, it remains checked with a lock symbol). I can change the password, but the BB desktop on my pc application does not accept the new password.

Any idea anyone? Help would be much appreciated!

    Best regards

    Chris

Hello and welcome to the community!

I think you have two distinct problems...

Desktop software rejecting your password entry.

The password requested by Desktop software and the password you assigned to lock your BB are indeed the same password. But what I suspect is that you have a mix of different characters in your device password and you may not notice how you enter on the keyboard of the BB. For example, if your password

    • AB123

    and if you enter

    • a > b > ALT > 1 > 2 > 3

    the result will be

    • ab1er

    You must enter

    • a > b > ALT > 1 > ALT > 2 > ALT > 3

in order to close with ab123. Thus, in this example, while on the BB keyboard, you think you type ab123, you actually type ab1er.

On your BB, when you type your password, you should get a moment where each character is indicated in clear before it turns into a *. Watch carefully next time and you will see a surprising result. It will be the exact characters that you type on the keyboard of your PC, because it is in fact your password.

Lock symbol on the device password, cannot clearly 'enable' setting.

There are generally two reasons that the locking device password becomes necessary (this is what means small lock symbol).

    (1) you are part of BES or have IT on board strategy that forces the requirement. Given what you describe on when you created the password, I doubt that this is the case, but... If that were the case, you would never have a choice... the first time you used your device, you would have had to create a device lock password. If, by any chance, you are part of BES, then go see your BES admins regarding if they force this situation.

    (2) you have, after activation of the device lock password, activate encryption or the Protection of the content on your device. Once you activate those, they require the device lock password to operate. For example, you can't delete the device lock password until you have first removed encryption or Protection of the contents of your device.

    Good luck!
