    Here's the deal, I tried to buy music when asked for security issues. He did two years I finally saw these issues so I was not on site with the answers of some CAP, etc. Then I got the message that my account has been locked. I went to the site and told to send an email through the site to my email of emergency for the instructions to unlock. I gave it a good 5 minutes and to my surprise NOTHING! (Sorry for the caps)

    I have it swept and tried it required to hold again. Still nothing... I went here and saw a thread that had something similar to what I had I tried and when he came to see the next step, I was given the message "too many attempts have been made to recover this account, try again later" it was my first and only attempt was how this even possible? * sigh * thanks.

    If your Apple ID account has been locked, usually because of multiple attempts to access without success, you need to try again the next day. See this article for reference - If your identifier Apple is locked.

  • Apple ID lockout - HELP Please

    Hoping someone can help me find my iPad old dads for him.

    I managed to fix it for him after he threw it on the floor using google/here, but I could not sign in its identifier Apple at the time that he does not accept the email address, that he insisted was right.

    I don't live nearby, so I brought home with me a while to try and fix it again, but I found just today an e-mail address of talk talk very old for him & Eureka!, he agreed with the password we both knew to be correct.

    Then only he told me that the account has been suspended - takes me to a page with security questions - which he can't remember the answers to (it is 80 & sick right now) he also tells me that he thinks her cat destroyed a laptop that I wrote all the passwords and emulsion for his different accounts - original so I'm he detached a little

    I guessed one of the answers correctly, but of course I don't remember that one - now goes a little later with the other and he won't let me new & insists on sending emails only-, but that the talktalk email address no longer exists

    I remember at the time to help him set up the AppleID, I gave my own email as a backup for his AppleID account e-mail address, so I could help I hope that if something like this happened - but I don't see anyway to get Apple to send to this e-mail address, rather than the deceased talktalk one

    I'm pulling out my hair here - is it possible? and if so, how would you please

    You can't change where the reset email goes - (you can but only when you have full access to the account, including the ability to respond to security issues). If you cannot reset email, you will need to contact Apple support: Contact Apple for assistance with the security of the Apple ID - Apple Support accounts

    It is a phishing attempt to try and get the details of your account, don't go to the URL or click on the links in the text - if you still have it you could send it to Apple: report iMessages that look like spam or junk - Apple Support

  • Password locking Active Directory - Apple ID

    In my office, we have three Macbooks linked to the Active Directory domain and all the three machines to meet the same problem. On all three machines, we use different local Admin, Mobile AD managed accounts. Accounts use private Apple ID in Itunes and App store. All three accounts have experienced what seemed to be random AD accounts locks.

    We have managed to limit somewhat through troubleshooting a problem with Apple ID and keychain.

    Users, initially created their Apple ID with their e-mails and the company when they connect to their Apple App Store ID they get locked out AD almost immediately.

    After they changed their Apple ID to their private emails, they got locked out AD whenever they tried to authenticate more than 5 times on App Store (or any where else some application requires Apple ID). Even if their identity papers have absolutely nothing to do with their usernames and passwords AD account. Somehow Apple ID or key ring tries to authenticate against AD. Whenever you enter the password wrong or correct it increments the counter "badpwdcount" of 1. If you try to authenticate five or repeatedly, causes it to lock the user of the AD because of the "5 bad passwords GPO" in AD.

    Even if the user enters a password valid, it always raises the 1 meter. If the user authenticates Apple ID with its business e-mail the lockout is immediate, which would mean the Apple itself ID forces on AD in quick succession or done something that causes lock it the user to use the e-mail AD and move. Is not question even if the pass is the same on the AD and Apple ID.

    Can you suggest what newspapers should happen to us AD to eventually find the reason that newspapers we checked that no information. Even the attribute which must display the name of the computer where the lockout was made has no information.
    We know when the lockout occur and we manage to avoid them but we would like to know why they happen. Why Apple ID, or Keychain has something to do with authentication on AD.

    We have studied this issue widely on the Interwebs and found no information that we could carry on. Locking issues revolve around a few old passwords stored on IPad and other similar positions only here on communities are way back in 2007. None of this information relates to our AD locking problems.

    We even did some heavy troubleshooting with certificates, but nothing helped.

    Someone else has the same or similar problems?

    I run several Mac Pro and Macbook Pro (El Capitan OS X 10.11.5 & 10.11.6) with the mobile AD accounts and links AD back to the domain AD WIN2012R2 server, where connection system is different from the apple ID used to access the apple store/itunes and have no problem with locked out as you describe.

    I've known a lot of problems but with "compatibility between previous versions of Mac OS X (Mavericks and Yosemite)" with WINSBS2003 then WIN2008 Server OS. Do not know what is the relationship of platform (OS X to WIN) of the software you have.

    I have found many problems have been fixed just by signing on iCloud, restart the MAC then sign in iCloud, don't know if doing the same thing could help you. The offender has generally been OS X, especially after an upgrade.

    Are your Mac related to AD, but search LDAP and NIS or too? This was one of my problems with WIN2008 and Nonconformists.

  • Questions Apple ID security waiting period

    so after 4 hours of research I have come out empty-handed... what I want to know is how long the lockout is to answer your questions in case settings of your apple ID account after you entered incorrectly too many times. Yes, there is a button that says it will send an email to your recovery email address, but after clicking on it probably more than 250 times in 4 different browsers and several log-out/ins it absolutely seems to do nothing... All I want to do is to change the e-mail address of recovery to something else so that I can change the apple for what is my current recovery... email address which I can not ID while its currently my recovery... e-mail address and I am sure I don't know why he wasn't my answers to security questions... but now all I manage to do unless I want to call Apple Support * UGH * is to wait for the lockout period and to allow it to display again security issues...

    TLDR: Cannot change email recovery address because answered security questions wrong too many times... Need to know is how long waiting period before I can try again.

    The screen tell you how you have locked yourself for? People have posted about getting messages to the topic being locked for 8 hours.

  • I changed my Apple ID to my new married name, but somewhere it is still hanging on to my old details

    After getting married, I updated my Apple ID with my new name and e-mail address.  This well it worked and I can access iTunes etc but my iCloud storage is almost full and I tried to connect to improve it but it still shows my old email address and name.  I can't connect to it knowing that I replaced all the details so the old account doesn't really exist, but it will not display my new address.  I went in my Apple ID to see where he was always picking up the old name/e-mail since but there just my new details (as it should) and I don't see where it's always the old details.  How to forget my old data.  I have almost no storage iCloud and have no way to resolve this issue now.

  • Apple Watch activity is not in the cloud?

    So, I've been using a Apple Watch for a while and my number one problem is that 'Activity', I put together for the last year is not sync with the iCloud, so when I upgraded my iPhone 6 to iOS10 all my activity watch is gone. I tested this point last week and it seems that "Activity" app does not synchronize your data in the cloud, so if you lose your phone or your watch you will have to start all over again and latest data are lost. This seems to be a huge concern when I spend all this time my overall follow-up and progress. Everyone see what happens if you put to level or restart/reset your watch or your phone?

    Health and historical activity data is stored on your iPhone. It is not recorded separately in iCloud.

    To guard against data loss, be sure to make regular backups of your iPhone.

    If the backup via iTunes, make sure to select the option to encrypt iPhone backup (unencrypted backup excludes the sensitive data, including health and activity). iCloud backups are encrypted as standard.

    Try to get itunes working to make a backup of my faulty iphone before repair.

    First-itunes does not start says error. I'm trying to fix it, who said success but same error when you try to start it.

  • Calendar Apple App Bug frozen works only with iOS 10 update grrr

    Since I updated to iOS 10 (more more later than 10.2, etc.), everything was not too bad except THE APPLE CALENDAR app, its deiving me crazy when I click on the app it's like it freezes and past shift x 50 mode still something to do with the calendar app will cause either a frozen or a black screen or white and then crashed ack to main menu.     Looks like you did a few good troubleshooting by force to leave the app, force to restart the iPhone and deleting and reinstalling the application calendar.  At this stage my next recommendation would be to backup your iPhone, then erase and restore your iPhone as a new device, then test calendar to see if it behaves correctly, and then restore your backup.
