Log files from management Persona

Hi, how can I enable logging for the management of the persona?

In the same GPO allows you to activate the Persona, there is a section to enable logging.

  • Delete the old log files from IDS4210

Is it possible to delete the old files of the IDM event log? If this is not the case, what is the best way to remove them.

    Thank you

    Maged

By default, the old log files are deleted automatically because the system fills the disk and the file age.

You can manually "clean" by using the following procedure:

Sign in as netrangr and cd in the/usr/nr/var directory.

    Run idsstop

    dump/usr/bin/RM-f / * errors / * iplog / * iplog/news / * iplog/dumpster / * new / * log.* erreur.*

You can change the location of the log with a setting of essbase.cfg

    DEFAULTLOGLOCATION

If you want to change the location of the ODL files, then you need to change the logging.xml file in bin to essbase.

    Hi all

In my stand-alone configuration, I can view and download log files from HTTPS-Webgui under "Journal subscriptions"-> "log files".

  • Removal of log files

I'm running out of space on my folder/var/log. After having many problems with a cluster yesterday, I have a large number of log files in this folder. Any thoughts on which those can be deleted?

My understanding is that any numbered log file could be removed safely (that is to say, vmkernel.33, or pass - 7.log.)  Here are some of the multiple log files I have. Suggestions are appreciated!

In ' / var/log ', the following people have the file name, plus at least 4 filename.1

Boot.log; cron; ksyms; e-mail log; messages; rpmpkgs; guarantee; spoole; vmkwarning

    Then I have:

    VMkernel and vmkernel.1 - 36

    In/var/log/vmware I have:

    esxcfg - boot.log 1-4
    hostd.log and 0.log - through the intermediary of pass - 9.log;
several TGZ files, 'spend - support.tgz 1-4", all have date yesterday on them. Don't know what happened there...
    and a bunch of vmware-cim - 0.log through vmware - cim.9.log

OK, so you get the idea...

    Hello

Delete all log file that ends in a number. Those are backups. Also, remember to delete the log files from/var/log/vmware as well.

The 'logrotate' configuration should be configured to do this automatically for you. Discover all the pointee VMware hardening Guideline by top Virtualizaition safety links ESX/ESXi section. It is a good step to take.

  • Database log files

    Hi Experts,

Can anyone tell me the location of the database log file?

    Thanks in advance

Log files from database, 11g, would be in the folder called diag standing for the Dest diagnosis and is maintained by the diagnostic_dest parameter. To see where you have configured this setting to be, it would be in the Oracle default base location.

  • How to reduce consumption of Essbase log file disk space?

Due to some problems, we must keep the Essbase application at the INFO level log to trace a special message. However, we can not control the size of the log file and the use of these log files from the disk.

We found that there is some configuration settings that can control the maximum file size of each log file:

    AGTMAXLOGFILESIZE
    APPMAXLOGFILESIZE

However we can not yet found a good setting that may limit the maximum use of disc, or the mechanism of rotation of newspapers to recycle the log file or we will say that we must keep the 5GB log file in the log 5 and recycle when the log file is full.

As Glen has rightly pointed out, you can create a routine that runs according to a schedule.

In the past, I wrote apps/scripts that check the size of the logs for each application, if it exceeds the set limit, copy of newspaper, zips the newspaper, then removes the log (essbase command, not just a delete because there is a lock on the file)

This routine can be written in several languages.

  • Phone calls from a person claiming ot be a Microsoft Contractor regarding the INF file

I get phone calls from a person claiming to be a Microsoft contractor.  He said that my computer has been hacked and wanted me to access my INF file so I could correct and stop piracy. I have trouble understanding what he said because his accent was so heavy. Why a caller would want me to access my INF file?  He seeks access to my computer?  Can hacking really stop this drive?  Microsoft really knows when someone hacked my computer? Help!

    Hello

Calls unrequested telephone of this nature are almost always a common scam. Do not let them give any info, do not give access to your PC, not give them all the money and do not go to all the websites that they suggest. One moment.

    Please see:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/en-GB/security/online-privacy/avoid-phone-scams.aspx

Microsoft issues never not solicited for phone calls of support or security.

These types of callers can use completely fictitious names or bogusly claim to be of real companies other than Microsoft as well.

  • I'm trying to uninstall Verizon's VZ Access Manager. I get "invalid UNINSTALL Uninstall Wise. LOG file. How can I get this off for Verizon can help me to get the new drivers installed?

I'm trying to uninstall Verizon's VZ Access Manager.  I get "invalid UNINSTALL Uninstall Wise. LOG file.  How can I get this off for Verizon can help me to get the new drivers installed?

    Hello retabox, welcome.

It would seem that the installer is corrupted. I recommend trying to use the Windows Installer Cleanup utility to force - to remove the application. Try this:
    2. click on the download link in the middle of the page
    3. save the file to your desktop or just click Run the installation of the application
    4. once the application is installed, open the utility. The utility must be located in the menu START under (START > programs > Windows Installer...)
    5. in the utility, find the application you want to uninstall, and then click the button 'delete' below
    6. once removed, restart the computer and see if you can reinstall the application
Let us know if it works,
    Thank you!

    Administrator permissions

I am logged in as administrator.  When I try to move the files from drive c to e drive, I get the message that I currently don't have permission
    to access this file.

As an administrator, I though I had permission.  How can I fix it?

I've only logged on as administrator.

Even logged on as administrator, you have not all privileges unless you raise them. This is done to prevent malware to take control of your computer when logged in as an administrator.
