Logging database of NI Teststand.
Hello
I use NI Teststand to manage my SQL database connection as I am not an expert in the management of SQL. But I encountered a problem.
In one of my tests, I turn off my LAN card in my computer, causing an interruption in the connection LAN and SQL. What is expected. But when I active my LAN card again once it takes allmost 2 min before the SQL connection is once again.
Is there a way to force Teststand to connect to databases again?
/ Kasper
Hi Scott,.
You are right that this was the solution:
"If you do this while the execution is running, the connection to the database reference is stored as a hidden property in the object of performance itself. The name property contains the name of the schema that you use. You might be able to set this reference to nothing or to remove the property. »
Thank you. :-)

TestStand 4.2: error call "LogResults" in "ITSDBLog" of "ZNIUGOL TestStand database"
I just installed 4.2 TestStand and SQL Server Express on a Windows XP computer brand new. In TestStand, I implemented the "Database" property, so he tested connection successfully. Here is the error message I get.

PeggyC,
You can get detailed information on how to connect to the database in the TestStand reference manuall, they talk about script files SQL on page 113 which is consistent at 6-6. Hope that helps.

Change of database SQL default within Teststand
I'm designing a system of 'universal' test for a variety of products from my company.
The test results are supposed to be logged to a database (2008) MS SQL. I created two databases for two different products. Let's call them OneTestDB and TwoTestDB for now.
No problems so far. Now I want to use a user, TestLogin, to write the test data for both of my databases, however, TestLogin can only seems to be able to write to the DB as a default value.
I could solve the problem by using different users, but since I want it to be possible for the same user test various products, I prefer to avoid this.
After searching the net for an answer, I found that what I try to do is done by the query "EXEC sp_defaultdb 'USER', 'DATABASE'. (So USE {DATABASE} work)?
The name of the database is given when running. (Base of DATA = StationGlobals.ProductName + "TestDB")
Here's my question: how and where to put this code in Teststand (2010 SP1) so that I can change the database to which I want to record the test results?
I tried to use the tools of database data in Teststand, but obviously I'm not the right way.
I managed to fix it myself.
The solution was the following SQL statement "EXEC sp_defaultdb 'TestLogin', '" + StationGlobals.ProductName + "TestDB" "»
If anyone has a better idea how to solve the problem, feel free to enlighten me.

Is anyway to clear the database without stopping TestStand?
I have a project that generates a lot of data, and with a limit of 2G file to the database, it is complete in a few days. TestStand handles continues so I was wondering if there is a way to copy and rename the existing file and then copy a database file vacuum back in without stopping Teststand?
Thanks for any help.
You obviously wouldn't have a file mdb with Oracle or SQL Server but, Yes, the limit of file size would be much higher. Management would be more robust and the closing would be not so troublesome.

Disable the database on abandonment
Hello community,
Using 32-bit Teststand 2014
In a previous post of mine, I asked how do I enable/disable by program the result of database processing. I got my answer and it dealt with altering the sequence file callback «DatabaseOptions» Is there a way to change the setting in my DatabaseOptions during my MainSequence? My reason for this is when the user runs the movie file and decides to abandon during the test based on a selection of message popup. I do want to teststand to process the results to the database when the user cancels the test and proceed to the cleaning. Is there a way to cause Teststand to not write to the database in this scenario?
I'm not sure I follow what is happening here.
Are you still trying to prevent the logging database in the case where you're finished running? What I have described above should do. See the file attached sequence (I tested this out with the sample shipment database).
As to change the ConnectionString property in the callback of LogToDatabase, it is likely not to do that you are pregnant. A new connection is performed only if one does not already exist (even if you change the connection string during execution). If you're really moving from the database that you connect in the middle of a performance, there are ways to go about this, but I wouldn't recommend it if you try only to prevent logging in particular situations. The method I proposed above would be much cleaner to implement.
Hope this helps,
Trent

Record in journal of Teststand
I run a test sequence. How can I connect from the test sequence to the datalog Teststand?
You must enable the logging database in the Configure | Database Options... menu item.
Check the section of the reference manual, there is a tutorial how to set the top and also order the example in the TestStand / folder of the example.

What SQL script to use to configure the default TestStand tables?
Hello
I'm setting up a small test application and want to record the results of the test to a SQL Server database. Page in preparation for the implementation of logging database mentions the scripts I use to set my database. In my case, I found 3 table creation scripts:
- SQL Server create insert generic result Tables.sql
- SQL Server create Recordset result generic Tables.sql
- SQL Server Create Tables.sql stored Proc result
What are the differences between them, and which one should I use?
Thank you!
In the options dialog of database--> go to the patterns tab and click on each of the options (generic recordset, insert generics, etc.). In the comments section, you will find the difference.
You can use one of them but to ensure that any script that you ran the DB tables same option is selected in the DB options.
I hope this helps.

I'm not able to store the contents of the database in a QString.
Hi all
have I missed something? Here is my piece of code.
QSqlQuery query;
Query.exec ("select * from SavePassword");
Query.Next ();
QString pathFile_Name = query.value (0) m:System.NET.SocketAddress.ToString ();
showMyToast (pathFile_Name);Where showMyToast is a function that displays a msg of toast.
my pro file looks like this
LIBS += - lbbdata - lbbsystem
QT += sqlAnd I am able to get the number of records of QSqlQuery and not the content.
Here is a code for my creation of a database of newspaper, with db being a class variable:
QString databaseFileName = QDir::homePath() + QDir::separator() + "logs.db"; db = QSqlDatabase::addDatabase("QSQLITE", "loggerDatabase"); db.setDatabaseName(databaseFileName); if (!db.open()) { printf("Critical: Error opening logs database\n"); }
-
How to avoid the duplicateConnection on a sql database?
I have a database of newspapers that I have access to both c ++ and QML.
While everything works correctly logs qml page complained about a double connection whenever it is open, which in turn spam log file.
In c ++, the database is initialized once, with db being QSqlDatabase:
QString databaseFileName = QDir::homePath() + QDir::separator() + "logs.db"; db = QSqlDatabase::addDatabase("QSQLITE", "loggerDatabase");if (!db.open()) { printf("Critical: Error opening logs database\n");}
QML, I use a very simple way to view the contents of the db: A GroupDataModel with a data source.
I have set up a query on the data source and fill in the datamodel with the result:
DataSource { id: dataSource source: loggerService.dbPath onDataLoaded: { dataModel.clear(); dataModel.insertList(data); } }
I assume that the data source uses SQLDataAccess to open a connection to the db, and db already has a connection there is a complaint:
QSqlDatabasePrivate::addDatabase: duplicate connection name ' / accounts/1000/appdata/x/data/logs.db' old deleted connection.
How can I avoid this?
I've given up trying through QML and just dynamically added the groupDataModel of c ++.
I was getting the same error, without reason.

It is misleading to the column sequence, sequence of real number is 65 series, but it's beyond. Have you restored any old backup with the incarnation?
When you perform incremental backups, is the current_scn in the two primaries and Eve was balanced?And the sequence number * 29 * is transferred from the primary to the standby (or) he has been removed from the primary?
Perform the two methods.(1) SQL > alter system set log_archive_dest_state_2 = 'reporter ';
(2) conduct 3-4 log switches
(3) SQL > alter system set log_archive_dest_state_2 = 'enable '.and displays the alert log database and backup files.
And you mentioned the hostname in the entries of the listener, if this entry is added in/etc/hosts? otherwise you can use the IP address instead of the host name and then reload the listener.second method
(1) copy archives missing from primary sequence of 29
(2) place manually and then perform a recovery
or
(3) retrieve manuallyAnd update with your conclusions after all these lists.
Thank you. -

MeenaHello
So on the whole as a single sequence * 52224 * do not appear in the standby mode.
Let's see first if this sequence archive special is exist or not. It is exist and not transferred in standby mode, follow these steps(1) stop MRP
(2) start MRP
(3) post 100 lines of the alert log file
If you gather any info from the main newspaper, then that's fine. And if there is no index using this script and post the output databases and relief.
http://www.Oracle-CKPT.com/dataguard_troubleshoot_snapper/If there are no archives exist, try to restore backup if they are available. Is there a backup then you only option of differential rolls forward. Use link below.
