Logging of user interface actions

I have a requirement that stock operator in the user interface to connect to a file or a database.  Far from creating a UI from scratch, how would you add this feature to any user interfaces provided by OR with TestStand?

Is it possible to intercept and record the traffic engine API of TestStand?  The engine retains a kind of diary?

I need to capture events such as these:

User A connects to 14:35

The user has open the User Manager and add a new user, user B.

User A logs off at 14:15

B the user connects to 15:20

User B opens MySequence.seq

User B configuration entry point calls configure Report Options

Etc...

Any help is appreciated.

Hello

You can watch the TestStandUIControlsReferencePoster.pdf document to see the objects and events that you can handle in the operator interface.

And look for the user using TestStand interface Messages.

The default ProcessModels use some Messages in the user interface to send information to the UI (--> 'Test DUT' point of entry).

You can post your own messages (called UserMessages) of the ProcessModel.

Test method of PostUIMessage of thread objects or motor (TestStand API).

Operator interface can intercept these UIMessages, if you manage the UserMessage or the UIMessageEvent of the ApplicationMgr object.

I give you a starting point.

Hope that helps you.

  • JTable.java where the user interface actions are registered?

    I'm a component out of a strongly modified JTable. I have gone through the source code of JTable (as well as BasicTableUI a a few others) and have been unable to locate where mouse click and drag and other mouse actions are recorded. I need to completely rewrite all these for my component updated the and instead of blocking or these I want to rewrite the function where they are added for the unregistering ActionMap. In addition to this, I need to do the same for several key actions. Currently, I do the following, but again, I would replace these actions with my own rather than let the actions of the default JTable.

    To clarify, JTable currently Selects cells when you click and drag, I want to disable this (in order to provide my own implementation of selection).

    If someone could just point me to the file, class, and the function name (s) that these actions/events are registered, I would be very grateful.

    Thank you for your time,
    Brandon

    Hmmm... do not understand how it is possible to browse BasicTableUI and overlook methods such as installListeners, installKeyboardActions, createMouseListener createLazyActionMap... ;-)

    I forgot: the keys are not in such an obvious place - they are listed in the XXLookAndFeel

  • How can I keep the workstation user interface log after the closure of the workstation?

    Hello

    On a Windows host, the newspaper of the UI for desktop is called vmware - < user name > - < PID > .log and is stored in the user's TEMP directory. Now, I got a problem that occurs during the closing of the workstation. I want to check the log to see what's happening, but the user interface log is deleted automatically after the closure of the workstation.

    Is there a way to tell the workstation no do not remove the log of the user interface? Thank you.

    Well, can you try this?

    %AppData%\VMware\config.ini to edit and add:

    UI.log.FileName = "C:\some\path\to\logfile\vmui.log".
    UI.log.Keep = 'TRUE '.

  • Offset of the user interface after update of El Capitan

    Hello. Since I upgraded my Macbook Pro late 2013 to El Capitan retina, I've known GAL of the user in function, mainly opening animation of safari and switching between desktop computers. These issues are only to make my user base, I created a test user and concluded that the test user was not the offset of the user interface. I have reinstalled the operating system, as well as talked to apple. Apple had me reset the Pram so that delete files, including:

    / Library/LaunchAgents

    ~/Library/LibraryAgents

    / Library/LaunchDaemons

    / Library/Caches

    ~/Library/caches

    and many other files like these.

    None of that helped, my UI lag is still there and fine. Also, I'm not sure if this is relevant; However, my recovery HD (available from start by pressing the alt/option key) is not an option. I'm not sure if the files I deleted with apple support caused it or reinstalling the operating system has done this. IM thinking delete files because I reinstalled the operating system using the HD recovery.

    Does anyone know how to fix the lag in the UI? I know other people have this problem, google search and this forum but no clear answer has not developed.

    Thank you

  • Shell of the user interface: generate a new TAB within the area with the help of a binding element.

    Hello Oracle Community:

    I work with an application based on the model of Shell user interface design.

    My use case is

    #1: start a tab Dynamics from the Navigation pane.

    #2: tab loads in the local area. (this works as expected, pictured below)

    #3: launch of the additional tabs in the page loading in the step #2.  They are triggered by simple links on the .jsff page.  (this does not work - please help.  This should work?  If so, what missing am me?)

    Question : Can I launch a new tab from a link component in the local area (page .jsff)?

    As you can see I have links on my dashboard and I want that they engage in new tabs when you click.  Please test before responding "in theory".

  • Flatten to a string to send arbitrary objects by messages from the user interface?

    Hi people,

    I am trying to send arbitrary data by messages from the user interface defined by the user to my labview interface. Something funny happens then: if I send the data through the message of ui, it seems I have something strange. There is only one character or nothing in the message of the user interface that reached my reminder.

    It seems that flatten channel also creates control characters that are interpreted by NI TestStand and Labview not as members of the chain, and for this reason I only get incomplete data. within the action of testand, which creates the flattened data, I put a dialog box to display the string data, and it seems that at least up to 255 (ascii) characters are used.

    Is there something like uuencode/uudecode to avoid this problem?

    Thanks in advance

    Okidoki, found.

    His «binary"produced by «Flatten the string» string Apparently I thought, the LabVIEW data type is incompatible with the API of TestStand from LabVIEW. In conclusion I would classify this as a bug (sorry people, at least there should be documentation) API for LabVIEW TestStand 2014.

    As a solution, I use flatten it in XML, which is a printable and human readable 'normal' string.

    It was trial and error, and I'm not enjoying this.

  • Why me disables the user interface click on another button, while it performs a scan?

    Hello

    When I run the user interface and click on a button that is sweeping the voltage for a period of time, I can't press any other button that sits on my Panel, lets say the Abort button that would prevent the action.

    So when I take the data and I realize that I should stop him before he finishes the scan, I can't and it's a really bad drawback.

    How can I improve this problem?

    Thank you

    Hi m.s.taba,

    It seems to me that your code runs the function leave but does not exit the loop you are, then the program stops at the end of the loop.

    To avoid this, you can:

    • use a global variable to the time your long recall and the recall of quit smoking
    • Call ProcessSytemEvents in the loop
    • reminder for the button leave defines the global variable
    • inside the loop, immediately after ProcessSystemEvents, you should test the value of the variable, and if the value you must break out of the loop
    • only after the exit of the loop, you can complete your program

  • UIMsg_BreakOnRunTimeError of completely custom user interface management

    I develop a completely custom user interface for TestStand 2012 SP1 operator (without ActiveX / ApplicationMgr etc.;) "I know, I know...).  I'm trying UIMsg_BreakOnRunTimeError to deal appropriately and need advice.

    (1) my first question is what I call DisplayRunTimeErrorDialogEx() with the appropriate SequenceContext, but the dialog box disables many of the options. Under manage common error, recovery, ignore and abandon immediately (without cleaning) are grayed out (disabled) as well as the box jump of. With the same sequence SequenceEditor and the po sample UI display correctly this dialog box.  Any ideas on what is the cause?

    (2) Secondly, the best way to manage the selections to the user?  dontShowAgainForExecution, dontShowAgainForBatchand suspendExecution seem quite simple documentation.  i.e.

    If (dontShowAgainForExecution)
    execution. RTEOptionForThisExecution = RTEOptions.RTEOption_Continue;

    If (dontShowAgainForBatch)
    thread. SetBatchRTEOption (RTEOptions.RTEOption_Continue);

    If (suspendExecution is false)
    execution. RESUME(); Fix? Execution seems already paused. What to do if this value is true?

    Now what about the runTimeErrorAction?  I guess for RTEOption_Abort the word execution of . Abort().  What are the appropriate steps to RTEOption_Continue, RTEOption_Ignore, RTEOption_Retry, & RTEOption_ShowDialog?

    (3) Finally, once the dialog box is closed, my execution ends with the result success rather than error state.  What happens here?

    Your help is appreciated as always,

    -Terrence Jones

    (1) this is probably the user privileges, you may either not connected with user at all or the user has privileges to debug. If you do not use the users, you can disable the privilege check in the options of the station.

    (2) something like this:

    void ApplyRTESetting (TS:equenceContextPtr sequenceContext, TS::RTEOptions rteOption, bool breakExecution)
    {
    Thread TS::ThreadPtr = sequenceContext-> thread;
    Execution TS::ExecutionPtr = sequenceContext-> run;

    Switch (rteOption)
    {
    case TS::RTEOption_ShowDialog:
    case TS::RTEOption_Continue:
    case TS::RTEOption_Abort:
    wire-> ClearTemporaryBreakpoint();
    break;
    by default:
    break;
    }

    do action according to the selected option
    Switch (rteOption)
    {
    case TS::RTEOption_Retry:
    sequenceContext-> NextStepIndex is sequenceContext-> StepIndex;.
    wire-> ClearCurrentRTE();
    If (! breakExecution)
    execution-> Resume();
    break;
    case TS::RTEOption_Continue:
    If (! breakExecution)
    execution-> Resume();
    break;
    case TS::RTEOption_Ignore:
    wire-> ClearCurrentRTE();
    If (! breakExecution)
    execution-> Resume();
    break;
    case TS::RTEOption_Abort:
    execution-> Abort();
    break;
    }
    }

    Also for the two other parameters we generally use the rteoption of the dialog rather than continue to hardcode, but you can do this job, how you want if you prefer different behavior:

    Example:

    If (dontShowAgainForExecution)
    context-> run-> RTEOptionForThisExecution = rteOption;

    If (dontShowAgainForBatch)
    context-> thread-> SetBatchRTEOption (rteOption);

    (3) maybe you call ClearCurrentRTE() to ignore alternatives.

    Hope this helps,

    -Doug

  • Your comments on my cRIOs with user interface architecture

    I'm designing a system to measure different signals. I use at least 3 cRIOs 9074 to acquire data and optionally a temperature control. I am required to create a user interface for all 3 cRIOs, even when they control the various processes. In addition, I need to use a Yokogawa data acquisition system as an extension of the cRIO channels. That's what I expect:

    -Have 3 cRIOs, acquisition of data at a high sampling rate.

    -Have the cRIOs sends the data over the network using the network shared FIFO variables.

    -Ask the user to interface on a PC grabing than the 3 cRIOS data over the network and present it to the user, allowing it to send commands to the cRIOs via shared network network variables.

    -Have the PC running the user interface handle all data logging and reporting.

    -Program a cRIO to interface with the DAQ Yokogawa directly and have the cRIO data on the network, just as he did for other data.

    I would appreciate any thoughts on this topic.

    Thank you

    It depends on your sampling rate. Usually with samples of thermocouple you would sample relatively slowly, so you can use the analysis engine to take samples from FPGA would be an exaggeration. If you do not need much greater sampling rate, then you can use the FPGA. Here are a few points of reference for the Scan Interface Mode.

    Looks like you may have a virus or other malware. Get your updated antivirus program and start safe mode.  Note that some viruses can hide from your normal antivirus program, so you really need to scan mode without failure.  To enter in Safe Mode when you turn on first, press F8 on every seconds until you get the menu, and then select Safe Mode.  Then run a complete system scan.

    If that suits him fine. If this is not the case, use system restore to go back to an earlier date at the beginning of the problem.  To run system restore, click Start-> programs-> Accessories-> System Tools-> system restore.  Click on the box that says show more restore points.
    You can check the corrupted system files.  Open an administrator command prompt and run SFC if the above does not help. Click START, and then type sfc in the search box, right-click to SFC. EXE, then click on run as administrator. Then from the command prompt, type sfc/scannow.
    Finally if all else fails, you can look at the rather cryptic system event log.  To make, click Start-> Control Panel-> administration-> event viewer tools.  Once in Event Viewer system log-click and scroll entries looking for these "error" with indicator see if you can find guidance on where the problem may be.
    I hope this helps.  Good luck.

    What are the causes of the log of user account on missing cursor in Windows XP? I have two trays of office that they have this same problem. If you restart them the cursor returns?

    Hi DaddyJeff,

    1. don't you make changes before the show?
    2. are you referring to the cursor in the area of user password on the login screen of Windows?
    3. when the cursor goes missing, the mouse pointer works on screen?

    It is difficult to say what is causing this problem. If the mouse pointer freezes or stops working, then we recommend you to reinstall the mouse. To do this, try the following steps:
    a. sign in to Windows.
    b. Click Start, click Run, type devmgmt.msc, and then click ok.
    c. in the list of objects, expand mice and other pointing devices.
    d. right click on the sub element and click on uninstall.
    e. unplug the mouse and plug it back.
    f. the Device Manager, select an item in the list, click the Action menu, click scan for hardware changes.
    g. check if the mouse is detected, if so, then install it.

  • Creating an application without a head without a user interface

    I use the NDK for about 2 weeks now and I can't seem to find any resource on the following blackberry Web site.

    I am creating an application without a head that would run every 24 hours on my blackberry.  I have the app created with Momentics headless and it does what I need it to do. But right now I need to have a button in a user interface to call him.

    What I'm trying to do is,

    1. Have created enforcement wihtout the need of a user interface for packing it or deployment using our company BES.

    If you can point me to a tutorial or an example that would be great.  Of course if you have a response to these two that is too !

    Thank you

    Lothus.

    Watch the timer shutter release for app without head, code snippets and explanations can be found here:
    https://developer.BlackBerry.com/native/documentation/device_platform/headless_apps/triggers.html#TI...

    If you need a more complete example, I can create one, but I don't know when I'll have the time to do it, he could be close to mid-January. But honestly, all the necessary code is already in the docs.

    Don't forget to register action TIMER_FIRED in your bar - descriptor.xml under your app without a head part, I think it is also covered in the docs.

  • Number of user interface

    Hi all! I'm developing an application where there is a bar on top, it has a few buttons and must always be present in all screens.

    I develop my user interface entirely in the PRC, is there something like a custom control that I can use RPC?

    Yep, sounds to me like the OP is perhaps trying to reproduce the provision of an Android version of their Putting buttons approx. above as this is a violation of user BB10 interface instructions and is strongly discouraged. If nothing else, it would make the application built for BlackBerry certification from the outset.

    PBernhardt wrote:

    Why do you think these buttons on the top? In general, the buttons in BlackBerry should be in action on the bottom bar, to make it easy to do what they gave.

    Can someone please suggest me where I am doing wrong.

    I also saw all the methods for sms listening, with the datagram and messagelistener.

    As this will be contineously run in the background, I thought about MessageListener.

    Any help appreciated.

    Thank you
