Login failure account currently disabled

On my husband's computer, I gave a user (to avoid accidental installations) and me the administrator, password protected. Control of account disabled.
Now, I want to make a backup, and she asked the administrator password, or a fingerprint. Or a work and I get the message that there is a connection failure because the account is disabled.

It seems that perhaps I should not have turned off UAC? To activate it, I need to be able to get for the administrator account.
What should I do? How do I get past it without having to reinstall.

Just when I was ready to reset the administrator password, I found an answer to the post with the following title:
Windows 7 has become my comments login and I'm locked out of admin

I didn't know that would be activated the account administrator in safe mode, and it has never crossed my mind to try out it. I started in safe mode and I was able to log on to the account to administor. I enabled the administrator account.

With the administrator enabled account, I connected back with connection to my husband and tried again to make a backup. When I was prompted for the administrator password, the fingerprint reader has been accepted. To restart, I tried again and used the password which was also accepted.

This must be a bug. I'm now afraid to disable the administrator account of fear that someday I will not be able to access the computer at all. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

  • Bug: Gauge of taskbar of logins to cannot be disabled for non-administrator accounts

Windows 7 64 bit, 5.93 AC: unchecking "Show Access Connections [] gauge in the taskbar" in global settings (under the admin account) does not work for other non-admin privilege accounts. The gauge is still enabled after logon there (but marked as disabled in the global settings). Now, the only solution is to delete the AcTBenabler.exe file which is responsible for the activation of the toolbar of dial-up connections.

The toolbar of logins can be re-turned off manually after every logon of course. Hello

Who is the user account you have currently connected?

Research of user in the sub folder location:

    Folder C:\Documents and settings\Users

If you find in the folder the administrator account user, then you may need to create a new user account and transfer of records and documents to the new location

  • Administrator account is disabled - system 5 error when trying to access

So I created a user account with administrator rights because I had problems with other accounts of user download of malware and viruses on my computer.  Unfortunately, I've changed the password one night when I was very tired and now draws a complete blank on what it might be.  Time has passed and I have tried everything I can think enough to know that I'm up a Creek trying to remember this password.  After that some searching around, I learned to start safe mode to access the hidden administrator account, which does NOT produce the hidden administrator account.  Then I read about access to the cmd as administrator, but that doesn't work either because he asks me the password I don't remember.  If I try to run cmd with "net users administrator / Active: Yes", receives a message indicating "system error 5 has occurred, access denied.  Same thing if I try to enter "net user *", and then click the password twice to clear it.  I know that I have set up with administrator access the user account is different than construction administrator b/c if I go 'lusrmgr.msc' in the search/run box on the start menu, then clicking on 'users' I can see that they are two separate accounts.  When I click with the right button on the built in Admin and select Properties, it shows a check in the box "account is disabled".  If I uncheck this box, I gives me the error message "access denied."  If I try to go the other route and check the "account is disabled" on the user account that I set up with administrator access, I gives me the same error.  If I try to delete the setting of administrator group of the user account that I set up with administrator access I'm access denied once again.  All this is considered... other ideas or tips? I read somewhere that apparently since I created a user to have admin access, hidden admin is disabled by windows automatically for safety.  I really hope this isn't the case!  I'm very hesitant to use a tool to reset password to a third party if I have to, but I'm running out of options and it's been months.  I appreciate any help, tips, reviews, etc.  Thank you!

You cannot administer a computer unless you are an administrator.

The built-in account is disabled if there is another admin account.

There is no way around it, or it would not be safe.

Don't forget the computers are not safe during execution.

    Hello Barbaram1,

Use the Windows key + R on the keyboard or click on start, select run.
In the run box, type services.msc
    Click OK.

Make sure that the Security Center service is enabled and started.
Probably, you will need to click Start to start the service.
The Startup Type should be automatic.  The status should be started.

Let me know what happens. If the problem persists, it may be that there are residual questions of the malware infection.

Solved!  Well, it's a way to fix...

    1. remove all media in my shared folders.

2 remove all under the directory "D:\folders\{8BA2C80A-EBCE-4EB7-9688-34B7CA729661}\twonkymedia.db\".  NOTE: I didn't delete the directory, just files and subdirectories under it.

3 copied a few tests of media back to the correct shared folder.

    4. RDP to the server and start Twonky services then disconnect.

    5. connect to the server console and then have Twonky rebuild the database.

So far, I only put my MP3 in the shared folder to perform the reconstruction of 'test '.  Not sure if the MP4 are causing the problem or not.  I'll post again once I readd and rebuild the Twonky database.
