Login to view - certificate error Server

Hello

I've updated vmware view of 4.6 to 5.1.1 everything went well.

But I am not in a position to replace the value default auto sign the certificate with the CA cert.

I tried to import the CA certificate root of trust and certicate store personal on the login server itself.

However it is always showing unsign certificate, if anyone can shred any light?

Thank you

Is the default self-signed also has friendly vdm name?  If so remove and then reboot and see if the new certificate is used.   As you import your certificate with the private key?

This KB, you should get repaired once you can connect to the ADSI edit tool.

Make sure that when you connect that you explicitly set the server that you connect to localhost. Let autodetect is connected to one of your AD controllers instead of the AD LDS to view instance.

I can connect to the web server integrated without problem, but when I need to put in place the elements of security, it get an error on the site being bad certificate.  The first time this came, I said to go there anyway, and I was able to set up the network for the analysis of network location.  Now, he's more not let me connect.  The error message only allows me to close the site now.

Then, I entered the address safe in Trusted Sites.  Now, he asks if I want to connect or not, but even if I say yes, it goes to the screen that won't let me close the site.

    rdeyoungaia1,

More often certificate errors like the one you describe can be attributed to the date and the time is not not upward. Allows you to set the date and time are set to the same as our host PC. You can do the printer by clicking Setup-> preferences-> Date & time. Change the time/date to be the same as the PC and try again. Let us know if this can help, or if something new arises.

    Good luck!

Certificate errors occur when there is a problem with a certificate or the use of the web server of the certificate. A Web site certificate identifies the web server, and it allows Internet Explorer to establish a connection to the site. a.Open Internet Explorer by clicking on the button start. In the search box, type Internet Explorer, and then in the list of results, click Internet Explorer.
b the Tools button and then click on Internet options.
c the Security tab, and then create one or more of the following:
Auto restore all original security levels, click Reset all zones to default level button.

You can temporarily disable the security software on the computer.
    Disable the antivirus software

If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

  • SSL certificate error

I looked the instructions in the Guide of the VCB user as suggested in a previous thread. This applies to my environment as we use VCB. I have a Lab Environment Manager with 3.5U3 2 ESX host. How can I disable the SSL Cert error msg when you access LabManager from my browser. He's crazy my boss... Thanks in advance.

The easiest way to eliminate this problem for all users would be to buy a certificate from a certification authority and install it.

If you do not have to install a certificate on your server, then you're stuck fixing this one browser at a time. In IE 8, I do the following.

1: click the certificate error box, to the right from where you enter the URL.

2: when you click this button, you will get another dialog box (I just can't get a screenshot of this). At the bottom, click View certificates.

3: then click on the button "install Certificate".

4: choose "Place all certificates in the following store, then choose Trusted Root Certification Authorities" as shown below.

The final dialog box is a warning that you can ingnore security safe.

Other browsers have similar mechanisms to allow an outside certificate exceptions.

Joel referenced article only applies to Vista SP1 and Windows Server 2008.  As you send messages in a Windows XP forum, I have to assume you have Windows XP.

There are two things you should try:

    (1) make sure that the date and time of your computer are correct in about 5 minutes or less.  Make sure that you have selected the appropriate time zone and DST (as appropriate) as well.

    (2) your root certificates may need to be updated.  Errors of this kind can be caused by old or expired certificates root on your computer.  To update your root certificates, see the following article:

"Members of the certificate program root Windows.

Find the paragraph titled "Root Update Package (intended for Windows XP only)" and download the package to update the certificate from the link provided and run it.  Restart your computer.

  • PC Backup doesn't work no-internal error: Server execution failed - error Code 0 x 80080005

    Hello

    I use Vista Business SP2.

I'm having a problem with Windows complete PC Backup. When I click on the "create backup now" trying to create a full backup of the computer, spends about 15 seconds and then this message:

The backup application could not start due to an internal error:
    Server execution failed (0 x 80080005)
Please check the configuration of your system and try again.

I click on ok, and the message appears once more.

I'm trying to save on the same disk external I used for backups. Backup of the files on this drive works fine.

Here are a few things that may be useful to solve this problem:

    1. I recently uninstalled and tried to reinstall Sophos Anti-virus, but I can't reinstall.
    2. My computer has been restored using the backup of the computer in the past. I have not saved since.
    3. I recently changed the permissions/owner on the external hard drive that I support up to.

    Thanks in advance.

If you have replaced TrustedIstaller with something else, which could very well be a part of the problem.  It is a user of the system and it can be called by the name of some programs and if she isn't here so the program does not know what to do.  I don't know how to solve this problem - I don't think add that a new administrator account to the user with this name will do (because it will have a different code).  In my view, that a re - install is the only way to solve this particular problem.

Here is an article on the fixation of 4201 event viewer error: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/110886-event-viewer-error-4201-a.html but I wouldn't bother with this if you have an Installation of Windows Vista genuine disc.  Come back if this disc does not (and I don't think it will be necessary).

CONGRATULATIONS on finding a disk for Installation of Windows Vista SP2 genuine - I guess that it's 32-bit (like your system).  It is exactly what you need - a commercial version.  The OEM versions do not work because they include device drivers specific to their computers and those who will hose your system unless they have exactly the same system for (and I don't think you can do an upgrade by using the OEM versions - at least not all of them - just a clean install {although I found a HP and it has used to update my XP system crashed then) ({I was waiting the disc of real update that I bought from Dell - not exactly kosher but finally in compliance}).  Here is the procedure: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/88236-repair-install-vista.html.  Although this will not affect your data, settings or programs, you should always back up your data before you start just be on the safe side (by copy and paste if necessary even if you can't use the full backup feature). If other procedures do not work, it is almost certain to work.  You can have a lot of updates to re - install.  What version of Vista do you have currently?  I think that the drive will work with any version of Vista (they contain probably all versions on them and that they install is governed by the Code of the product used - but I have never actually tried using a different version of disc - I only heard this said by people who seem to know what they're talking about).  The fact that it is SP2 means that you won't have to uninstall all the Service packs that is even better.  I REALLY hope it works for you.  Make sure you use the UPGRADE option or you're going to do a clean install.  If the upgrade option is grayed out, it means that it will not work (but I don't think that this will be the case).

If the drive works (and after installing all updates), then there should be nothing to fix on your system - it should work like new.  You should be able to do your backup with no error message.  Have no other problems.  This will fix the problem with TrustedInstaller so.  I feel confident thiis will work.

I mentioned that Acronis because first of all, it's the best backup software and secondly because there could be a workaround, because it does seem like there was another solution because you do not want to delete this special software (but now that you have the disc - which is debatable – although it is still the best software {even though) ({, as you say, it's not free}).

As far as Windows7 goes, I refer you to the Windows7 Forum at: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7install/threads where the people who specialize in installation, the upgrade, and activation Windows7 will be more than happy to help you in the process.  I have Windows7 (my computer is not compatible and it is too costly to update since it's several components that need to be changed and my other computers are even older, so he has no hope here - I just have to wait until the "I need a new computer" but strikes me to new, but that will probably not for one or two years).  To be honest, I wouldn't intentionallly update at this point even if I could because I always wait a while before installing a new OS (generally up to the publication of its SP1 and in the case of Vista its SP2) to let other people work the new bugs - and there are some despite what you see in the ads.  Spend time on Windows7 forums, if you don't believe me.  Out of the box, she seems to be better than Vista did (which was awful) but there are still issues that need to be addressed - I'll wait instead until it is more stable (and a bit of my software is not compatible and I don't want to have to go out and buy all these updates at the same time (, because it will be too expensive overall).  But if you want to upgrade, which is perfectly fine - thousands of others do (always, especially since Vista has problems after all this time) and I totally understand.  This is just my own personal bias and procedure - I don't recommend to my clients that I recognize it as being just a personal preference rather than one-piece objective advice.  Before installing Windows7, make sure that your system is ready with the Windows7 Upgrade Advisor to: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/get/upgrade-advisor.aspx - you should perhaps update or remove some software and may not even need to upgrade certain hardware - better know before you start (especially if you go x 64 which I assume that your PC is able to treat - mine isn't).

I hope this helps and wish you all the best in your effort to make the repair/improvement of the system.  I hope it works.  Remember that you must use your own product key to activate the software if necessary.  If it does not automatically have to activate manually, go to start, search, and type in slui 4 enter.  Enter your country and press Next.  You will be on a screen with a phone number and a bunch of codes below.  Dial the number and browse automatic guests until you get to a human being.  Have your handy product code because it will be asked.  Explain that you had a problem and you need to reinstall the OS but it's the same PC.  They should give you a code to enter on this screen to activate Vista.

  • Just improved 5.0 to 6.0u2 vcenter.  How do eliminate you the web client certificate error?

We were a vSphere 5.0 shop for many years and enjoyed the client c# 4.0, 4.1 and 5.0 then days.  We just upgraded 6.0 Update 2 this week and although always, we are primarally used to the c# client and will use it for a while to come, I am getting used to the web client for the new features that are available only in it, such as SRM and VR.

I was able to click through the numours of screens of reminder to get via Firefox after all these certificate warnings and even easier just click the one or two things in Chrome or IE to get in.  But how could eliminate total certificate errors?  Example, now I'm with Chrome, but the https:// in the address bar is red with a slash through it.

In most all other device based on web or connection we have, as HP iLO, Dell iDrac etc... usually, we create a CSR on this device and it present our internal Windows certificate authority and recover a file to go back to the device.  Is it possible to do this with the web client?  We have a certificate of 'Server Web 2' model that generates the sha256 return certificate and inherently all field devices to trust him because the area is important our root certificate authority.

Also, we are running services such as replication vSphere and SRM, I would not change certificate affects only or same vSphere Update Manager.  We have two sites HQ and DR.

I ended up getting rid of the cert errors by following this page: 6 replacement vSphere SSL certificate / implementation by using the Certificate Manager-automation tool

I followed the procedures for "Certificate of Machine (Reverse HTTP Proxy) replace with certificate custom" and just that.  I didin 't' t mess with root VMCA with custom signature certificate certificate because its seems to me like he wanted to do an endless number of the signature of the certificate request and keys.  But the first option considered for our internal Windows CA took care of her.

For replication of vSphere 6.1.1 that I had to turn off the virtual devices from replication via customer web vSphere vSphere and then put them back on.  Then connect to their URL of web management (port 5490) and make the reconnection to the vsphere on the connection tab, where he was invited to accept the new certificate.

For AUVS I had to run the VMwareUpdateManagerUtility.exe under C:\Program Files (x 86) \VMware\Infrastructure\Update Manager and to the third option of re - register to vCenter, and then restart the service.

Surprisingly, SRM sites remained paired although I've read that some people have trouble with it.  I'm on 6.0 update 2 and I think one of the questions was fixed in 6.0 Update 1 b.
