logmein123 scam when I thought I was calling by using Hotmail?
Logmein123 scam: I had problems connecting my email this morning and I called the number 1-888-439-2525 to help. The number was supposed to be using Hotmail. A man with a thick Indian accent came and had me download logmein123 and then tried to sell me the security of my computer for 159.99.
Can you tell me it's a valid number using windows live hotmail or Windows products?
Hello
It is a well documented SCAM.
"logmeim123" is in fact a legitimate company, but the scammers use their name for remote access to your computer.
Either they want to sell you unnecessary software or access your computer for so-called "erors" to then steal banking or credit card passwords and your identity
If you give them access remotely through software "logmein123", etc., my advice is to backup your data and reinstall the operating system that you don't know what they have installed.
Microsoft will never contact you unless you have made prior arrangements for them to do.
Read this Microsoft:

See you soon.

How can I remove app Mega backup of my desktop computer. He got installed when I thought I was downloading an update for adobe flash. I closed the application them tp mpved ot trash, but he would not accept it stating still open app.
"MegaBackup" is an application of unworthy of trust-storage cloud or perhaps real malware. I have not tried to make this distinction. To remove it, please start back up all the data (not with the MegaBackup himself, of course). Then take the steps below.
1 Select the elements of the connection tab in the users pane and groups of system preferences. Remove all elements with a name starting in 'MegaBackup '.
2 log off or restart the computer.
3. slide the MegaBackup application in the Applications to the trash and empty folder.
Note that you cannot delete any application trying to drag its icon from the LaunchPad or the Dock. You must open the Applications folder in the Finder.
You may have installed ad-injection with MegaBackup malware. If you don't see unaccustomed pop-up in a web browser, ask for additional instructions.

Because WMP is also affected, I'd say it's a hardware problem. Start by disconnecting all the microphones, speakers, actually any device off-board you have. Then run a Cd or RIP something. If the sound is better, connect the devices one by one until you guilty findnthe.See you soon,.Jerry -

My 6 x more the iphone has only 55.4 GB of capacity. I bought it in August 2016. I thought I was getting 128 GB and that's what is advertised on the site of Apple now (08/09/16.) Verizon is the carrier (24.1). Version 9.3.5 (13G 36) model MKVE2LL/A. There is something called backup size 128 MB. What is mean the 128 GB of capacity?
MKVE2LL/A is a 64 GB phone and after operating system installation and the configuration of the Apple device is on about 55 GB free of charge to the user. The announcement that apple has doubled the capability of this phone with a 128 GB of this phone version is an improved version of your current phone, which will be available for pre-order on 09/09/16 and begin delivery of Apple 16/09/16, it is currently not available to the public until then.
If you are not satisfied with the product and that you bought from an authorized apple dealer, you can return the purchase within 14 calendar days.

Hi all
I've seen a few of these topics that are similar, but none that I have met have my setup. Let me describe quickly.
I have my laptop speakers, a usb headset that I use for Skype and that I don't have permanent plugged into the laptop using a mini-jack.
The problem I have is that whenever I'm on a Skype call, it seems, as all audio workarounds (except the Skype call), my helmet and comes straight out of my laptop speakers. My usb headset works as it should as the default communications device.
Can any suggestions on how I make sure that the sound signal (non-Skype) happens in my helmet when I'm on a call?
Thank you!
Kenneth
Hi, thanks for the response.
Basically, the reason for audio devices is that it is my work computer. So I have decent headphones for practically everything. Then I have the headset for Skype and other communication applications. The speakers of the laptop, I didn't really the possibility of withdrawing
I managed to fix the problem by removing an audio device that seemed to isolate my headphones into the socket. This means that the 2 devices are separated instead of having an audio option of the speakers/headphones.
Hope this was able to help someone else with the same problem.
Thanks again,
Kenneth

When playing a video and the audio is slightly out of sync, I read there was a keyboard shortcut which allowed you to try and sync.
I thought it was the key to ctrl-plus/minus. But this does not seem to do anything.
Hi martin,
There is no key shortcut as such on the audio and video sync in Windows Media Player.

Logmein123 scam - what should I do if I let in?
I was not lucky enough that others have posted for the LogMeIn123 scam - they took me at the right time for them - bad time for me. Sounds the alarm, but the brain was not save.
Other completely reformat my whole hardrive (as a suggestion given to me) is there anyone out there that give me some advice on how to proceed? Have they left something behind, caught no details? Once I gave them a verbal explosion, I tried to disconnect by closing the chat window, did not work. The only other thing I could do was physically remove my internet connection and turn off the computer. Since I turned on my computer back - not connected to the internet, and their chat window opens automatically.
Is there something I can do?

I would like to know how do I know when legit microsoft tech people call us.
* Original title: scams
Hello
I would like to know how do I know when legit microsoft tech people call us. They seem to know what are the problems of the computer. For example, I know technical support microsoft is outsourced. How can I know who we really are and which one is fake? If I'm registered, it is logical that they call me if my computer is not working properly. In addition, they guide you through what is wrong, before asking to enter the computer. Y at - there somewhere that we could see a list of companies that are partners of support, as well as their locations?
For a very good presentation, read this--> http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/407147/answers-to-common-security-questions-best-practices/?p=2413189 (post #2 in the thread must choose an antivirus program and post #4 aims to choose an additional program to deal with software spyware and other malware that is not strictly 'virus' in nature.)
Each month, the "Patch Tuesday" Microsoft includes an updated version of the 'Malicious Software Removal Tool"in the 'important' updates. It's not settling as other updates but "runs once to find infections per prevalent malicious software (including Blaster, Sasser, and Mydoom) on your computer and remove infections it finds."
In addition, your installation of Windows 7 runs by default "Windows Defender". Microsoft confusedly used that name to refer to a software that performs different functions. In Windows 7, Windows Defender is an anti-spyware utility, not an anti-virus. Windows Defender (for Windows 7) updates are quite frequently provided through Windows Update. See http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/6397-windows-defender-turn-off.html
Microsoft also provides for free, Microsoft Security Essentials. Microsoft describes this as a "guard in real time against software viruses, spyware and other malicious software. If you install MSE, will be automatically disabled Windows Defender.
You can also download the Microsoft Safety Scanner to make a unique analysis for "virus, spyware and other malicious software."
IMO, one of the best tools that scan for malware that the virus is the free version of MalwareBytes AntiMalware. https://www.Malwarebytes.org/DL-confirm/ . during installation, you will be asked if you want to a free trial of the Premium version. Yet once, IMO, the Premium, even the free trial version, installation is not necessary.
The difference between the free version and the Premium version, which is the last runs continuously in the background ("scheduled update and scanning, the safer our real-time Protection Module. ... Another important feature is our blocking malicious Web site"). According to the company, "Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is not supposed to be a replacement for antivirus software...» [and] works well and should run alongside software antivirus without conflict. https://support.Malwarebytes.org/customer/en/Portal/articles/1834872-does-Malwarebytes-anti-malware-replace-antivirus-software-?b_id=6438
A second scanner good anti-spyware is SUPERAntiSpyware. http://SUPERAntiSpyware.com/ As with MBAM, IMO all what you need is the free version. Be aware that even the free version by default at startup of Windows startup. If you install SAS, I suggest to change this option and the program running only on request.
