Look at a component under inbox disappeared.

In mail, I don't see the display pane below the list of messages in the Inbox. The only way I can view a new message is by double clicking. If I try to pull up to the horizontal line with the arrow upwards at the bottom of the Inbox, nothing happens. Any ideas?

It is the classic mode. Take a hold of the dowry and keep dragging until it final pop into view.  It's a little sticky in its behavior.

It's the same in the more recent 3-column-view (Mail > Preferences > watch one) partitions are a little sticky when trying to drag the extremes.

You use OE for a company and do not save your messages?

Check first of all, what is obvious. While in the Inbox: view | Current view. Make sure show all Messages is the only option that is checked.

If this is not the resolution, you have work cut out for you and hopefully will help.

    Recovery methods:

If you are running XP/SP3, then you should have a backup of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin (or possibly the message store), copied as bak files.

To restore a folder bak on the message store folder, first find the location of the message store.

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, the .dbx files are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in the Solution Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder options | View.

Close OE and in Windows Explorer, click on the dbx to the file missing or empty file, then drag it to the desktop. It can be deleted later once you have successfully restored the bak file. Minimize the message store.

Open OE and, if the folder is missing, create a folder with the * exact * same name as the bak file you want to restore but without the .bak. For example: If the file is Saved.bak, the new folder should be named saved. Open the new folder, and then close OE. If the folder is there, but just empty, continue to the next step.

First of all, check if there is a bak file already in the message. If there is, and you have removed the dbx file, go ahead and rename it in dbx.

If it is not already in the message, open the trash and do a right-click on the file bak for the folder in question and click on restore. Open the message store up and replace the .bak by .dbx file extension. Close the message store and open OE. Messages must be in the folder.

If messages are restored successfully, you can go ahead and delete the old dbx file that you moved to the desktop.

A general warning to help avoid this in the future:

Do not archive mail in default OE folders. They finally are damaged. Create your own folders defined by the user for mail storage and move your mail to them. Empty the deleted items folder regularly. Keep user created folders under 300 MB, and also empty as is possible to default folders.

Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the CPUs, slows down sending and receiving and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for the loss of messages. Your up-to-date A / V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more information, see:

    Hello

The problem is simple - my Inbox iCloud disappeared (around the time when I created the iCloud on my phone mailbox - not sure if they are related).

I saw that some of you have had this problem, I tried everything that was suggested in other posts but nothing...

  • Some messages in the Inbox disappeared. Others replaced wi/code and is more suited to the topic/sender.,.

No content appears suddenly when I click on some of the items in the Inbox. For the rest, I get the code, rather than normal text, and the content is not related to the sender/topic. Trash folder disappeared entirely; but when I rechecked a day later, it now seems normal. No luck with the Inbox. I read the suggestion of a repair/properties/right click, but my right click on the receipt/property box does not turn upward a repair option. I am running version 24.4.0. Help!

The answer is to click with the right button on the back of the problem, and then select Properties. Then click on the button labeled File Repair.

I don't know what you do not see this option.

Be prepared to lose messages if the corruption is too bad to get back them. Then read this article on how to maintain your records to avoid the problem in the future.

  • How do you keep a message from Inbox disappear on your laptop after you read that on the desk?

    Original title: messages received

How do you keep a message miscare disappear at the top of a tower, after you read the desktop

You must leave a copy of messages on the server on both machines so that both can access the messages.  Generally, a machine will delete messages after they are downloaded.  You can prevent this, but we need to know what e-mail program, you use to be able to tell you were the parameters is.  In OE and WinMail in Vista, you define which under Tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | Advanced, but it will be in a different place for different programs.

Music, Photos, videos, Docs, other directories all disappeared.

However, with the 'search' under C: I see they all exist and can be loaded, although one by one.

I can copy any area (hours) in another directory, but the directory structure is lost. There are 88 GB of files!

How to restore the visibility of this USER under Win Explorer?

Thus all restore the complete list of subdirectories and content to the breast?

    Hi Mary,

Welcome to the Microsoft Community and thanks for posting the question.

This issue could be due to the virus from the system or files and folders are hidden, I suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1:

I suggest you to run the Microsoft Safety Scanner and check if there is no virus.

    Microsoft Safety Scanner: http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again. The data files that are infected can be cleaned by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

    Method 2:

I would like to enable Show hidden files.

    Show hidden files: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Show-hidden-files

If you need Windows guru, do not hesitate to post your questions and we will be happy to help you.
