  • Satellite P35-6112 - looking for a recovery disc

    Hello

I am looking for a Toshiba Satellite P35-6112 recovery disk, my windows is completely out and can't go on or return to best Configuration safe mode... The laptop is 4 years old and the Toshiba recovery media does not include any drive for this laptop...

Please let me know if you have one, or where can I get a new one.

    Hello

AFAIK the Satellite P35 belongs to the American market and therefore, you should contact the nearest authorized service provider. Maybe guys can order a new disc of recovery for you:

An alternative you can install Windows on a normal disc of Microsoft. All the drivers, you can download from the Toshiba page. :)

  • Pavilion 4070 - us: new hard drive for the recovery disks do not work! Help!

Hi - the hard drive on my Pavilion 4070 - crashed us, so I bought a replacement - a Samsung SSD 850 EVO, 256GB drive.  The problem is that I can't seem to get the recovery disks to work, and neither Microsoft nor HP is willing to help me.  Of course, Microsoft tells me they don't give me any help for Windows7 OEM versions and HP said that my product is no longer supported so they do not help me.  This is ridiculous - I own a legal copy of Windows 7 and I can't get any help from the company who sold me the computer?

What happens when I go through the process of installation with the recovery discs, is that instead of the Windows installation continue as it is supposed to, I have "no boot device - insert boot disk and press any key any."  I'm desperate, I tried two different options - one was the minimum image recovery, the other was a factory restore.  Nothing seems to work. What can I do?   Moreover, the original hard drive is not * completely * dead - I can still access most of the data on it.

  • Hi can I use xp for dv2000 recovery disk to downgrade a dv2000 with preinstalled vista thank you

    Hello

I have 2 laptops of dv2000 with different model No, s

one with xp factory mounted and the other with factory installed vista

can I use the xp from the computer recovery disks laptop xp

to downgrade vista to xp or is it better to install windows 7 please

    Thank you very much

    maggieglanville

    Hello:

You probably have to downgrade your laptop from Vista to XP, but you do not have a license (right to downgrade) to do with Microsoft.

Normally, the desktop and professional laptops only received rights to downgrade to XP due to risk of operations undertaken grinding halt because of software with some programs and Vista incompatiblities.

Personally, it is best to switch to Windows 7.

Since your laptop with Vista, it can run Windows 7. For all the missing drivers you may need to you can use normally drivers Vista on the support page and the driver of your laptop.

In addition, you can read through this guide for dv2000 for Windows 7 upgrade.

  • How Long it take for the recovery disk to install?

I have the original recovery disc for my Toshiba M55-S139 laptop. I've never used up yeserday. Well its been 17 hrs and nothing! Is this normal? When I put the cd in, it seems, to copy files, etc., so he asks that I remove the disk and press any key to start the process.

Then it goes to a black screen. I have searched online to find a process step by step as to what I should see or at least a period of how long it might take. I think that 17 hours is too long..but I'm not the expert in computer science here! :)

    Help!

I agree with Feliks seems the recovery process may not complete successfully.
I think that you must repeat this procedure once more. Boot from the disc, format the HARD drive and install the new.

    Good luck

  • Installed Windows on the bad disk partition (C :) and meant for the recovery disc (e :)))

    Hello world

My question is that I installed windows vista on the wrong partition. When I tried to do a re-install for partition recovery (e), I saw that the drive (C :) local was still installed with my last error when I first installed it on drive C: (OS) that is full. I didn't want to do, that I was going for the recovery disk (E :).

If I re - install windows on the recovery disk now, he will have to complete partitions. I'm just completely start over as if I first had an empty space to install an OS right the first time around when choosing the right partition.

It is on a latitude D630, where the BONE was full and the Data 2 which is the recovery disk (e) has free space that should have (c).

Any help is grateful, thank you.

Make sure that the important data that you have on the drive is backed up.

  • Satellite A300D - where can I get a recovery disk?

    Hello

I'm new here and I have a problem.
my daughter bought an A300D-18 PSAHCE 00C00PGR in April 09.
She says now, she tried to create a disc of recovery at the same time, but he failed.

Now, I'm looking for a recovery for his vista disk Home premium SP2.
Someone know where I can get a recovery for her disc?

    Hello

I can only say ;) to check your user manual

If you don t have a recovery disc, you can order directly into a new to Toshiba:
    https://backupmedia.Toshiba.EU/landing.aspx

If the pre-installed operating system is still installed you can try create the recovery disk. I can recommend the DVD-R media, it worked for me.

  • Satellite A100 - question about recovery disk

When I bought my Toshiba laptop, I received a product with her recovery disk.
At first, I thought it was the recovery of the whole Windows XP (OS which was preinstalled) but on the back cover of the case, he said only "Windows Office One Note"

So this product for a recovery notes only?

Yes, it looks like a recovery disk from Toshiba which would format the whole HARD drive and reinstall the operating system preinstalled together.
