Pavilion 4070 - us: new hard drive for the recovery disks do not work! Help!
Hi - the hard drive on my Pavilion 4070 - crashed us, so I bought a replacement - a Samsung SSD 850 EVO, 256GB drive. The problem is that I can't seem to get the recovery disks to work, and neither Microsoft nor HP is willing to help me. Of course, Microsoft tells me they don't give me any help for Windows7 OEM versions and HP said that my product is no longer supported so they do not help me. This is ridiculous - I own a legal copy of Windows 7 and I can't get any help from the company who sold me the computer?
What happens when I go through the process of installation with the recovery discs, is that instead of the Windows installation continue as it is supposed to, I have "no boot device - insert boot disk and press any key any." I'm desperate, I tried two different options - one was the minimum image recovery, the other was a factory restore. Nothing seems to work. What can I do? Moreover, the original hard drive is not * completely * dead - I can still access most of the data on it.
Hello:
Yes... It works fine for me.
Here's the source Web page. Select the download link of W7 Home Premium x 64 from there...

Hi can I use xp for dv2000 recovery disk to downgrade a dv2000 with preinstalled vista thank you
Hello
I have 2 laptops of dv2000 with different model No, s
one with xp factory mounted and the other with factory installed vista
can I use the xp from the computer recovery disks laptop xp
to downgrade vista to xp or is it better to install windows 7 please
Thank you very much
maggieglanville
Hello:
You probably have to downgrade your laptop from Vista to XP, but you do not have a license (right to downgrade) to do with Microsoft.
Normally, the desktop and professional laptops only received rights to downgrade to XP due to risk of operations undertaken grinding halt because of software with some programs and Vista incompatiblities.
Personally, it is best to switch to Windows 7.
Since your laptop with Vista, it can run Windows 7. For all the missing drivers you may need to you can use normally drivers Vista on the support page and the driver of your laptop.
In addition, you can read through this guide for dv2000 for Windows 7 upgrade.

How Long it take for the recovery disk to install?
I have the original recovery disc for my Toshiba M55-S139 laptop. I've never used up yeserday. Well its been 17 hrs and nothing! Is this normal? When I put the cd in, it seems, to copy files, etc., so he asks that I remove the disk and press any key to start the process.
Then it goes to a black screen. I have searched online to find a process step by step as to what I should see or at least a period of how long it might take. I think that 17 hours is too long..but I'm not the expert in computer science here! :)
Help!
I agree with Feliks seems the recovery process may not complete successfully.
I think that you must repeat this procedure once more. Boot from the disc, format the HARD drive and install the new.Good luck

Hello world
My question is that I installed windows vista on the wrong partition. When I tried to do a re-install for partition recovery (e), I saw that the drive (C :) local was still installed with my last error when I first installed it on drive C: (OS) that is full. I didn't want to do, that I was going for the recovery disk (E :).
If I re - install windows on the recovery disk now, he will have to complete partitions. I'm just completely start over as if I first had an empty space to install an OS right the first time around when choosing the right partition.
It is on a latitude D630, where the BONE was full and the Data 2 which is the recovery disk (e) has free space that should have (c).
Any help is grateful, thank you.
Make sure that the important data that you have on the drive is backed up.

Satellite L300D-13s - need recovery disks
OK, my first problem with my laptop was that I had about 5 Trojan virus that crossed my antivirus some how.
But now cause I rang Toshiba line they said use recovery discs. I didn't have the recovery disks because the disks would not update the firmware-. -nott has that but he said ok press F8 at startup upward.
I did this HARD drive recovery, but it got stuck at 31% and restarts. I charge it and it says BOOTMGR is missing, press Ctrl + alt + delete to restart. I it is straight on the same screen. I do it like 50 times I can't do anything.
I searched the internet for the recovery disks don't download any help. I rang their top they said they can't the system recover-.-no idea what do ideas?
Hello!
I agree with Toshiba customer service, you must use the recovery for this problem disc.
You can not download the recovery disks in the internet, but you can buy a new one. Here is the link:

Satellite P100-286 - need recovery disk
I need help in the search for a recovery disc like the one I had when I brought my laptop as my other broke and I still could find everywhere: (.)
Bad, I need to reformat my hard drive and I have very little experience in these things, then it would be great if someone could point me in the right direction: D.
Hello!
If you need a new recovery disk ask your nearest ASP (authorized service provider). The recovery disc can t be downloaded and if you lost it you have to pay for a new.
You can also format your portable computer with the Microsoft installation disc and then download and install all the drivers from the Toshiba site, but if you have little experience in these things would be recovery disc the best way.
Good bye

working on vgn-cr410e for a friend, HDD is bad and I will replace it. It is original gave him the "bootmgr is missing error", I've tried every fix I could find, including downloading recoery vsita listed in ssearches drive, he tries but fails, and now it's giving an "eminent disk failure error.
It doesn't have the recovery disks, its Vista Home premium, MS product key is on the sticker on the bottom of the unit.
What is the least expensive option here? as in the FREE.Can I get a download a copy of vista, any part, or preferably download a restore for this specific unit disk?
Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a free solution for this. However, I posted the link for the recovery disks where they can be purchased here: [url: 2schsdsm] https://servicesales.sel.sony.com/ecom/accessories/web/viewItemDetail.do?operation=getItemDetail&itemID=663004&searchOperation=modelSearch&searchText=VGNCR410e [/ url: 2schsdsm]

Satellite P200D-139 - Question about recovery disk
My father has a Toshiba Satellite P200D-139 and we lost the recovery for laptop disk and the recovery HARD drive image also disappeared.
So I ordered a new pack of Toshiba and I was just wondering if I had to put a new HARD drive in the laptop (a bigger HARD drive) the recovery pack contains Windows Vista to put it back on the hard drive?
I once had an old Windows XP on Toshiba Satellite 1900 and packed on that hard drive if I bought a new disc and ran the recovery disk and it put Windows back on so I hope that this pack for this laptop does the same.
Hey,.
Is that the Toshiba recovery disc can restore the factory settings every time and on each HARD drive. If you replace a new s than what it still possible to restore the factory settings on the same HARD drive, nothing is installed on the HARD drive. HARD drive recovery files are not necessary for the recovery disk because the recovery itself contains these files.
So replace with a bigger HARD drive and boot from the recovery disc. You come out of the box settings and the computer will be ready to use after this :)

Satellite P200 - Product Recovery Disk 2/2 does not work
Hello
because my laptop (Satellite P200 - I bought in December 2007) does not work more properly - and when, after a lot of cleaning it still wasn't working properly - I decided to start from the beginning and restore the operating system with 2 product recovery cd / dvd.
Recovery disk 1/2 worked well - Windows Vista Home Premium product is loaded again on my computer.
But what abot * Disck2/2 product recovery? *
At one point, the recovery program calls for a 'supplement' but when I put in the product recovery disc 2/2 at this time, that the program does not recognize the disc. During the rest of the recovery program the program didn't ask for Product Recovery Disk 2/2, so the content of this CD-ROM/dvd now is not loaded on my laptop.Someone had this problem too?
What do you have on this?
Is this a problem for not loading the content of the product recovery disc 2/2 (I can go without it?)?Thanks in advance for any response!

Hello
> Products 1/2 worked well - Windows Vista Home Premium recovery disc is loaded again on my computer.
I put t know which modules the tool called for, but AFAIK the Toshiba image contains the operating system Vista, Toshiba drivers and additional software.
So if you've recovered the laptop using the recovery disk Toshiba 1 then the laptop must be set to the SAME State as at the first day of the purchase.PS: what files you can find on the second disk?

Satellite A100-068 - for Windows Vista recovery disk
Hello.
I have a Satellite A100-068 where Windows broke down. When I turn it on it says configuration update 3 of 3. After awhile it will restart and returns with the same message. It is not possible to boot into safe mode. (Same problem). I searched the net for a concludes but only found that I have to reinstall windows (Vista Home premeum). My problem is that I Don t equipped of a Medea. The PC came with windows pre-installed, and there was no partition of medea or recovery disk recovery.
Is it possible to buy DVDs that will work with the OEM installation (in Danish) license, or I can get a toshiba restore disk or?
Please help me out here.
Hey,.
Normally, you need to create this recovery disc yourself using pre-installed recovery disc creator, but I think that now it s too late because Windows doesn't start anymore.
But you can order the CD here:
https://backupmedia.Toshiba.EU/landing.aspxIf you can t order it, ask an authorized service provider. Alternative use a normal disc of Microsoft and the drivers of Toshiba page.
