Loops of startup Boot VMware 5.5.0 on F2 and F11 line display

I just tried to update / one of my VMware hosts migrate from version 4.1 to 5.5.0. When I restart the system once the upgrade has completed it gets regarding the final normal screen display which must show the name of the server address IP etc and the line inside who has 'F2 '....      F11... ». What happens is that it continually flashes only the 'F2...»  F11... " line. If I turned off the server and restart start VMware 4.1 successfully. I have not lost any data.  Whereas the upgrade / migration says it cannot restore. I am impressed that somehow mine did.

Any ideas how I can get to upgrade properly and start?

During the upgrade the only error message I get is a "Custom VIBs warning' during the prechecks.

< 3RD_PARTY_SOFTWARE WARNING: host contains VIB (s) third party having no substitute on the ISO.

["vmware-esx-pilots-net-igb", "vmware-esx-epsec-vfile"] >

I continued with the migration by ignoring these.

VIB "vmware-esx-epsec-vfile" I think East of vShield Endpoint that could be the cause of the problem. The original server was using Trend Micro deep Security which I removed and restore the server. I did not delete vShield.

Do you know how I can remove this VIB? Removing it will cause a problem?

VIB "vmware-esx-pilots-net-igb" I think will require just download good and their installation to version 5.5.

Should what steps I take to get 5.5.0 upward and work?

Concerning

Ron

I decided to do a fresh install and add servers.

  • 2008-2009 iMac and vertical lines endless boot loop

    My father has an iMac from 2008-2009 and it has been fine.

    However yesterday it suddenly developed vertical lines on the screen (see below). These lines seem to be 'above' the Apple logo. Unfortunately I can not access the info from the computer

    The Mac is stuck in an endless loop of startup where it never gets beyond the Apple logo and turn the circle loading.

    I started using the option key pressed and tried to the recovery for the boot partition. This again goes to the Apple logo and the rotating circle gray until he says: "If you want to continue in English press the return key" what I'm doing and then nothing (the circle stops spinning). Same thing happens when the safe boot mode.

    I also tried to boot from the recovery drive (separate USB) and nothing... Fortunately, I can access its backups like he always its data.

    I also tried the mode via Firewire to my laptop and disk target hard iMac mount (although the Firewire icon appears on the screen of the iMac).

    I also tried re-creation of the AMFR2 and MSC.

    My guess is that it's a failure of motherboard somewhere as it seems beyond normal graphics card. For some reason any my store does not have engineering appointments at the moment, so cannot take it.

    Is the consensus, that it is a dead iMac? Thank you

    (Note the "burrs" on screen is from my phone, not on the iMac!)

    Hi, Steve Hayes1,.

    I had one come in the other week with these lines - GPU issue. Replaced it and worked like a charm.

    With respect to the infinite loop, try to start from an external drive and load an operating system. Should I still do the endless loop?

    Kind regards

  • Pavilion dv6636 stuck in a reboot loop with no boot

    Hello

    I have a Pavilion dv6636 purchased on Oct / 2007 which saw a reboot loop with no boot. By pressing the Start button, I can see the hood leds on, power on (as well as the port for illuminated around blue AC adapter), HD led being turned on once and can hear the pilot DVD is powered and the fan turns, then, after about 10 seconds (while the screen is always black), he stops, remains off for 5 sec , then restarts, stuck in this loop. Experiences I've already done:
    -hard reset
    -reset of memory
    -stable memory locations
    -exchanged memories
    -started with memories (sounded a beep as expected)
    -had started with HD (continued with the same symptoms)
    -F8 or F2 keys pressed during startup (black screen and continued with the same symptoms)
    -F10 key during startup (by pressing F10, it does not shut down as usually does, but rest died, with black screen and rotation of the fan)
    -external monitor plugged in when you start (black screen and continued with the same symptoms)

    Same question occurred in about 4 months ago, but at that time, after break of a week I tried to start and has been a success. Not at the moment.

    Please, any thoughts of what could be the problem?

    Thank you

  • Loop of startup repair after vista update on 15-04-09

    .post a {text-decoration: underline ;}}

    Hello

    I hope someone here can help me.  I tried Googling for solutions, but after having tried everything without success, I'm bringing my problem here.

    I had gone through the internet when the program to close unexpectedly.   After trying to restart my laptop Dell 1720 (Windows Vista Home Premium), I went to bed after seeing the stage 2/3 update on the screen. It shows, in the morning, he can not start and gives me the ability to startup repair. After that, it is said that it cannot repair this computer automatically. Details of the problem are the following:
    Startup Repair V2
    AutoFailover
    6.0.6000.16386.6.0.6001.18000
    Bad driver
    WrpRepair

    I tried to restore to previous restore points (all tell me there's a missing file, error code 0 x 80070002), safe mode, last known good configuration and I end up in the same loop of startup repair. I have not installed recent programs, drivers and devices.  I am depressed and want to avoid going back to a factory installation since I've had this laptop for a year and have a ton of files and programs.  Anyone with any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    ETA: I also run chkdsk (no errors found) and sfc/scannow (Windows Resource Protection cannot run task or something like that).

    In fact, my problem has been able to start Windows Vista after the last update (14/04/09) install.  The error code came when I tried to restore my system to my restore points.  Finally I ended up taking my hd to access my data.  Then I tried to reinstall Vista from Dell provided and had problems reinstall drive to do so (hung up END INSTALLATION).  A call to Dell support had me change some of my BIOS settings and finally managed to get Vista installed.  Now, I'm in the painful process of restoring all my programs and personal data.  This time, I created a partition for the operating system and a separate for all my photos, music, etc. so I don't have this problem of losing all my data the next time the fact once again Vista (and it will be!  I already lived 2 BSOD since reinstalling 2 days ago!)  So, there was no solution to my original post.  Good luck to everyone else who has the same problem with the Vista updates.

    Hello

    Have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

    I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1:

    Put the computer in a clean boot state, then check if that helps you.

    How to solve the problem by running the clean boot in Windows Vista:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

    Note: Once you have completed troubleshooting, perform the steps in the step 7: to reset the computer as usual.

    Method 2:

    Run the Microsoft Safety Scanner and check if there are any threats found.

    Microsoft safety scanner: http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

    Note: If no threat found check if the file is necessary or not, then delete it.

    Also make sure that the popup is secure and then install if necessary. Windows updates are all secure and this is only the computer and Windows manufacturer. Optional updates are the manufacturer of the computer and the manufacturer of the application that you have installed. Important updates are Microsoft and it must be installed. I also suggest you try to install Service pack 2 on your computer and check if that helps.

    Learn how to install Windows Vista Service Pack 2 (SP2):

  • BlackBerry Curve 8900 smartphones hangs at startup / boot with window Application permissions

    Hi all

    As the title suggests, I installed the soft Color ID trial last week and he had run no problem, but yesterday it restarts and starts, it displays the desktop and it also displays the window from the Application of the permissions, as shown below, as soon as it starts.

    He will not allow or deny, my scroll button will not move the cursor, no response from all the keys outside the SHIFT key (which displays the icon of the CAPS in the upper right), and the same goes for the ALT key. It is a fairly new phone after my 8900 has been replaced. I tried to remove the battery and memory card, and a soft reset (ALT CAP LED) simply restarts tender BB, on which the app permissions window comes up directly at startup.

    Anyone can throw some light on this issue please? I'm about to go back to my carrier to replace another.

    Thank you and best regards,

    Lucky

    Morning, I just had the same thing happened to me after installing new updates. 23:00 23.

    I removed the battery to reboot and press and hold the ESC key until it finished reboot.

    This allows you to restart in safe mode and remove the colorid from your phone.

    Now, the only problem I encounter is that I can them to reboot on safe mode, it get hung up on the provider screen which always brings me to restart in safe mode.  Now I use my bb in safe mode

    looking for a solution for the provider to hang up.  I hope this helps.

    will I be able to boot from a drive external firewire with and the older operating system? Or El Capitan will not allow this as I said can occur. Can't risk a "pourrait".

    There should be no problem. Your iMac is come with Snow Leopard as well as or any subsequent OS should work. Note however, that once started from SL, your interior with El Capitan would be is no longer recognized as a boot device in the preferences > startup disk because Snow Leopard does not have logical volume by car Group organization. You need to restart with the Option key pressed down, calling the Boot Manager.

  • join two tables and results to display checkboxes checked... loop david powers please?

    Summary

    two tables:

    Table 1 categories

    Table 2A categories that someone has selected

    HTML form that updates the user's data:

    form should show all the options in the category dynamically in table 1

    and also to display the check box of the category as controlled dynamically if the person chose by table 2

    The nuts and bolts

    Attempt 1

    My sql:

    SELECT cat.id, cat.category, mcat.category as mcategory

    THE CAT of categories, members_categories mcat

    WHERE mcat.member_id = ' "." $_GET ['id']. »"

    ORDER BY category ASC

    (run on its own, all categories of table 1 are shown twice and the results of table 2 is a total cluster.)

    area of the form with checkboxes:

    <? PHP {? >}

    < input <? PHP if (!) ((strcmp($row_rsCategories['mcategory'],$row_rsCategories['id'])))) {echo ' checked =------'checked\' ' ;}?} > name = "category []" type = "checkbox" value = "<?" PHP echo $row_rsCategories ['id'];? ">" / > <? PHP echo $row_rsCategories ['category'];? > < br / >

    <? PHP} while ($row_rsCategories = mysql_fetch_assoc ($rsCategories));? >

    what I have here results:

    all categories displayed twice with selected categories of table 2 verified = by the results of sql when running alone

    Attempt 2

    My sql:

    SELECT cat.id, cat.category, mcat.category as mcategory

    CAT categories

    LEFT JOIN members_categories mcat WE mcat.category = cat.id

    WHERE mcat.member_id = ' "." $_GET ['id']. »"

    ORDER BY category ASC

    (run on its own, all categories of table 1 who have a match in the table 2 and none of the other in table 1 shows)

    area of the form with checkboxes:

    even the first attempt

    what I have here results:

    all categories selected in table 2 shows and checked, and no other choices of table 1 = by the results of sql when running alone

    Attempt 3

    My sql:

    SELECT cat.id, cat.category, mcat.category as mcategory

    THE CAT of categories, members_categories mcat

    WHERE mcat.member_id = ' "." $_GET ['id']. »"

    GROUP BY cat.id

    ORDER BY category ASC

    (running his own, all the choices in the category of table 1 are displayed, however, the mcategory column displays the lowest category numbered (same one) against all of these options rather then correspond to their.)

    area of the form with checkboxes:

    even the first attempt

    what I have here results:

    all choice of category in table 1 are displayed, however, only the first category in table 2 (which in this case is the lowest number) is marked as checked with the checkboxe, even if there is more then one category in table 2 = by the results of sql when running alone

    so, can anyone help?  I'm just banging my head against the wall here is something missing that should be obvious, because the sql is not giving me what I need to work with the form in a loop region.  Perhaps another approach should be taken and I have change the loop as well, but I think that this can be resolved with the sql.  Thanks in advance.

    Well, you can use two separate sql queries...

    one with the names of the categories

    and the second nested with the loop that references the id of category in table 1 to pair with table 2

  • Caught in a loop of Vista boot

    My better half has used my laptop and now it does not start at the top. It is a screen that says, "installing windows update 3/3" stays there for a few minutes and then restarts the same screen. It will continue in this loop without having to open on the desktop. Any ideas on how to cross or to solve the problem would be appreciated. THX.

    Restore point:

    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If the above does not work, try to make a Bootable ERD to do a Startup Repair:
    As is the case with most computers/laptops these days, they do not come with good Vista disc to repair only the recovery disks.
    As your falls into the above category: download the ISO on the provided link and do a repair of the disc.
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
    You can make a tool to restart system, System Restore, etc. with it.
    Read all the info on the website on how to create and use it.
    http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/
    ISO Burner: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html
    It's a very good Vista repair disc.
    You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
    There is not a disk of resettlement.
    And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.
    See you soon.
  • Computer starts and restarts in an infinite loop at startup.
    Received this e-mail from Comcast around 2 April 2013 stating my computer may have a 'bot '. This function constant guard of Comcast. On 5 April, my computer started this start and restart * in an infinite loop. I took the computer manufacturer and all wiped out settings. Comcast removed free Norton antivirus and replaced by Webroot. When the infinite loop finally stops, I just leave the computer on and log off because if I stop, it will begin to restart in an endless loop. I used MicroSoft's analysis and Webroot finds no Malware since I restored it to the constructor parameter. I don't understand??? It does only as long as my wireless light on my laptop. If I boot my computer and disable immediately any connection to the internet, there are no endless loop. I get the desktop to the top and turn on the wireless on my laptop and the computer begins to restart. My daughter uses her Tablet without any problem the same modem wireless. I always get this duplication of constant guard of Comcast email. I sent email them back and ask them if they are sent, and if it was a fake, and their response was like they didn't know what I was asking. Knuckleheads! I am lucky to be online now. He ran into an infinite loop, start and restart hours today. Help!
    Hi Michell,
    1. don't you make changes to the computer before the show?
    2. What do you mean by "I have always received this e-mail from duplication of constant guard of Comcast?
    Method 1: I suggest to disable automatic reboot and then check if the problem persists.
    (Including safe mode) advanced startup options (disable automatic reboot system error)
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows7/advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode
    Method 2: I would say too you will observer event logs to check what is causing the problem.
    Open event viewer
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows7/open-Event-Viewer
    What are the information contained in the logs of the event (Event Viewer)? http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows7/what-information-appears-in-event-logs-event-viewer
    Post us the results once you try the steps above.
