Loose hinges.

I'm a big fan of HP and have owned 3 laptops to date. Unfortunately Pavilion dv4t 1500, I've owned in 3 years has broken/loose its hinges. My screen is very loose and the display flashes. Y at - it no manual for dv4t 1500 for the display changes where I can my phone dissamble and tighten the hinges? Any other suggestions

Thank you

At this point, it seems that the video cable has developed a break in it _ I think it was sent on the edge of the repair. It was probably marginal to lie first with your hinge problem.

For now, you can perform a hard reset _ unplug the adapter and all _ the battery.

Press and hold the power button for 1 minute _ only the adapter plug back in and start _ the next time, he stopped just install the battery. (who can solve your problem again, but unlikely)

Another common problem that people face is that the cable was not inserted until the bottom of the motherboard and/or not squarely in the cap of the MoBo _ this must be checked before assuming the cable is broken.

Also look for things twisted on the MoBo _ test pins before fully assembling the machine.

Do you need help to find a new cable (assuming that the old man is pulled)?

Good for you on the repair BTW _ not many people can fix a lptop.

    Hi all

IV ' e noticed my macbook pro screen hinges become very loose and the screen comes back without any force. How much does it cost to repair? Also, how a cleaning of the computer at a cost of virus? I did not buy my computer from an apple reseller but my local Best Buy.

"How much does it cost to fix?

First of all, check your warranty coverage > https://checkcoverage.apple.com/

If your warranty has expired, take the Mac at Best Buy for repairs. No one here can tell what the repair might cost.

In the second place. What happens on your Mac that makes you think that there is a virus?

  • Yoga 900 bottles loose hinge?

Is it normal for some of the hinges to be a bit loose on the 900 yoga? I wasn't sure since not all of them are loose. Also, I have one of the caps on the loose edge also although I can remove and replace (unless it falls easily). Don't know if it's worth it will send... still on warranty.

There is however no cracking sounds etc and that it works correctly.

It may be preferable to deposit to get the hinges replaced under warranty. See this thread on the same problem on a Yoga Pro 3 where Amy Lenovo's suggested this course of action:

  • Y550 loose hinge of the screen

I had my Y550 for about 3 months now and everything was fine with the construction of the computer. However, I bought this computer as the hinge of the screen on my last computer broke slowly to the point where it was difficult to keep the screen in the same position as he flapped around so much. Now, only 3 months in, the hinge of the screen is loose quickly, and moves back about an inch, or several degrees. I thought it was a good computer. Now, I'm worried about the very thing that took 3 years to get to my old laptop is going to happen in 6 months on this one. Is it fixable with a miracle solution or can I send it in for warranty?

without doubt it is fixable on the guarantee. Please contact the support of lenovo for more information and shipping problems.

  • MacBook Air cover / hinge issues

My MacBook Air early 2015 cover/screen seems to be loose, it's because of my mossiso rubberized hard case or my mac damaged, also when I touch the black plastic that controls the screen, it seems that there is some movement. is my loose hinge / damaged. I can't go to the apple store because the closest is 3-4 hours away, I want to know it's because of the case or if the hinge is damaged?

I'm not sure that anyone would be able to diagnose that without really seeing. If you don't have an Apple Store nearby (I have not) there may be an Apple authorized Service provider, that is. You can use the following to locate: https://locate.apple.com/country

  • Screen jumping and overheating issues on my Satellite Pro M30

    Hey everybody!

I have a Satellite Pro M30, the screen seems to wobble a bit, probably due to a loose hinge. Can you please help me with this problem?
In addition, my laptop seems to overheat, how do I clean the dust to stop overheating?

    Thank you

    Hi mate!
For the screen issue. As it is a hardware thing, I suggest that contact you a local ASP. Of course, you can try by yourself to this problem, but I can say from my own, fitting the screen isn't the easy thing to do on your own, if you have no experience in that.

To clean your laptop from dust, you can use compressed air jet. Also make sure the cooling modules are not blocked by objects on your table, because if you've blocked, warm air ponds and cannot be updated.

  • T42 on the fritz!

I have a huge problem. Recently, a hinge on the right side of the screen on my pad think broken T42.

I went to a technician and he told me it was normal wear and tear, so hinge became fragile and broke. but the huge problem that he later stressed the pressure put on the hinge that just happened to be on the same side as the son of connection to the screen. So now I have huge problems with the screen itself will come out and as well as audio, and nothing can do, but to turn it off. so now, I need to source a new cause of connection it will be hard to find here in Jamaica. Help please!

    P. S.

The hard drive is running, but it won't turn completely

Which could mean the local tech, is that the graphics chip (ATI Radeon) has broken links. The 'technology' used to attach the graphics chip on the motherboard is called BGA; matrix of marbles. There are hundreds of balls of tiny solder between the motherboard and the video chip. Due to the heat, flexation system and/or the use of lead-free solder, some of these connections welds can be broken. This leads to intermittent operation of the video display.

Another area which can also cause video problems is related to the water that connects video signals on the motherboard to the LCD screen. Your broken/loose hinge could cause damage to the water, so that might explain the graphic problems.

  • Preferred method to stop or disable the

Hello all; I have a pavilion dv6 and I am very impressed with the speed to which this computer returns to a ready state of what I believe, this is the "stand-by" mode

I know it's a good idea to make a complete/powerdown stop in time and I do it once or twice a week to clear the caches and everything reset.  But, in the meantime, I've been just close the lid of the computer which, I believe, it goes to sleep.  I have not changed the default of origin for the closure of the hood don't so it must always be in standby mode.

My concern is that I had a laptop Sony Viao where the hinge is broken on one side.  Then I read a thread on this forum about a loose hinge on a HP.  So, my question___ would be better just to let it sit, cover open until it enters mode ensures via a setting the time and therefore save wear and tear on the hinges?

A normal laptop hinge resists closing the regular cover. However, if there is no design defect, you may experience this with some models.

I suggest that you continue your current way of using the laptop. I do the same with all my books and never had problems with hinges.

  • Portege R700 - the display hinges are loose

    Hello

my brand new R700 seems to have a bit of a monkey of surrender of a screen on this subject.
When I use the machine at home, I'm sitting on a coffee table, titration so the screen in an equitable way back at right angles to the display

If I then get the laptop to use it on mine... well, basically... the screen returns to fully open/flat right through the movement of lifting machine

Someone else had a similar problem and if yes is it too simple that chew up the hinge bolts and how they access do?
I rip portable outside all the time, but never a new brand that I'm worried about scratching, so I want to assure you that I understand!

    see you soon

    Ben

    Hello

Don t have had similar problems with my laptop but maybe the display hinges are loose
Usually, these hinges are hidden behind plastic chassis and you would need to disassemble the laptop to get access to these parts.

In general I put t recommend disassemble this laptop pretty.
First of all, you will lose the status of the guarantee if you would remove the plastic cover.
Secondly, you may damage or break this, and I think that that's not worth a risk.

If I was you, I'd spend low and ask a technician for assistance.

  • Satellite C50t-A-10J: screw loose around the hinges

Someone had problems with housing screws loosened around the hinges on a laptop via Satellite, and if so do they have suggestions for a solution?

I have a C50t-A-10J. Within 4 months from first use hinges fixing screws loose and three is out.
First of all, I noticed this separation autour hinges at startup box.
I went back to John Lewis, who arranges for a fix, but less than a week to one of the bindings loosened again.

Looking more closely this laptop I noticed that the hinges are quite steep and the flexible housing.
This looks a bit on the fragile for a laptop.

I'm now questioning whether or not it is human enough?
I would be interested to hear from anyone with similar experience.

    Thank you in advance.

    > I went to John Lewis, who arranges for a fix, but less than a week to one of the bindings loosened again
In my opinion you should go back to the dealer or should contact the Toshiba service to find solution to this problem.

I mean it is a hardware problem and before you try to fix it by using some bad motivated method, I recommend you to ask some experts to fix under warranty conditions.
