  I have a problem with my macbook. Once a decide install windows via boot camp. Everything is ok, I'm going to star boot camp, create the windows (100 GB for windows) partition and start the installation of windows, in windows, I format partition windows by tutorial in the site of apple and windows install beginning... after that windows displays errors that can not install windows, so a cancel every thing a restart of the mac (I'm told that I can't live without windows) , so I started mac and I watch my drive. I have 500 GB SDD, mac shows me normally of 500 GB, but the tape drive shows me only 400GB. I understand that the missing 100 GB is the windows partition, but it is now. I can't find this partition, or disk utility, or normally. Boot camp can not boot because error boot camp startup disk cannot be partitioned etc..

  A few ideas how to run boot camp with this problem or how can run windows install without boot camp to try install new windwos? Sorry for my English and thank you for any response.

  After you delete the BootCamp partition, you must use the disk utility to resize the OS X partition.  The partitions will not resize itself automatically, you must open disk utility and manually resize the partition to use the full capacity of the drive.

  We run windows Vista Edition 32-bit home premium.  Installed at the factory we have Microsoft works and many options, and additional games. After we have made of our hard drive wiping and a clean install of windows Vista again these elements did not return to the top... We have done this before and it was something we had to do to get these things once again, but I forgot what it was.

  We have no shadow on our hard drive... we have removed all the shadow copies and all the windows of OLD files, etc... We needed a drive completely clean.
  Can someone please tell me how to restore the other options?

  Also since the reinstallation of Vista we have many games that once installed so see the as installed in the control panel in Add Remove programs but are not of anywhere in the computer in the list of programs or in a search?

  Thanks for posting on the forums.

  Quick questions, did you use a Windows Vista DVD to perform a clean installation of Vista? You have a set of disks of restoration of the manufacturer of your computer or you have separate disks for Vista, Applications and drivers etc. ?  You've probably used your before restore disks to restore your computer to factory settings where it will be wipe your drive and perform a clean installation of Vista with your applications. Please check the disk set you have and check with the manufacturer on how to perform a full restore of your system.

• Aurora R4 - no JOB because of the failure of 4 GB memory stick

  I have a R4 Aurora 16 GB RAM and realized one of my sticks of memory 4GB failed last week when my PC does not have control of the DESKTOP. I kept the original 4GB memory in DIMM 1 sticks and 2 and deleted the modules of memory DIMMS 3 and 4. I ordered 2 x 4 GB memory stick from Dell which will arrive next week for my PC with 16 GB of memory.

  I have two questions

  (1) can an Aurora R4 works on 3 (12 GB) DIMM slots or the configuration that the manual says 2 slots DIMM (8 GB) or 4 DIMMS (16 GB) and what are the risks?

  (2) is it OK to load the original memory sticks on DIMM 1 and DIMM 2 memory module DIMM 3 replacement and 4 DIMM?

  My characteristics of the computer is now as follows

  CPU: Intel (r) Core i7-3820 CPU @ 3.60 GHz

  Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 690 (4096MB of total memory)

  RAM: 8 GB of RAM (1600 Mhz)

  My PC worked with a bit of bad luck with a faulty CPU cooler and a bad memory stick, but the forums have helped me a lot and I have a Corsair cooler H80i (tight fit but does the job) that made a world of difference, if all goes well with the new mem sticks the PC will be like new.

  (1) it is dual-channel memory, so you should run it in exactly matching matched sets... as the manual States.

  (2) Yes (not sure that I understand your concern). It will help with compatibility if all ram DIMM correspond very closely.

If you know how to remove the motherboard, so you can ship it just to the store, the cost may be closer to $60US. They set the matrix of balls and get you operational return.

  I had to reinstall clean Windows 7 64-bit because of the failure of the RAID 1. I have a picture of my original installation system, but I can't restore it; everything I try, I get the message "system cannot find the specified file (0 x 80070002).  I work through a number of possible solutions, without success so far.

  According to the kb/951002 (that is for Vista but I can't find an alternative for Win 7) I made sure that the SYSTEM account has read permission for the backup folders and subfolders.  However, the file structure of the specified in the above article backup folder is different from my image file structure.  Specifically, article specified a structure of 'N.zip' file for the backup files but mine are a mixture of XML documents and VHD - i.e. no "zip" files Also, my GlobalCatalog file does not what kind of file, for example, it wouldn't ".wbcat" required file type specified in the article.

  The differences above could explain the inability to restore the image and if so, any ideas on what to do about it?

  I have a (~ 6 years old), Dell Precision Workstation 360 serice XP Pro pack 3. This morning when I got up the screens show vertical bands of color. Given zero has nothing - not even the selection screen or function key boot options to enter the bios Setup. In brief - not even a partial boot - just (double) monitors show the vertical lines of color. Encryption on the motherboard could have found death I took the C: drive and plugged into one another computer (XP) via one box drive external usb. In windows Explorer I can see just about everything that I expect to see on the drive except in the My Documents folder. I don't know what should be there, but the only in My Documents is the music of my pictures of my user name and user name. The only items in these folders are the XP sample music files and images. I did a search on the entire disk for a couple of files that I know should be in My Documents, but nothing was found. Since then, I ran a virus scan using Norton Internet Security, but he found no virus. I've got some critical files on this disc I need today. Stupid me - had not saved them in a few weeks, so a lot of work is missing.

  Any assistance to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.

  It seems that there are file system corruption, after the failure of your hardware. Try some recovery software data (links below) or, if data is critical and expense is not a problem, don't take any chances and send the drive to a professional drive savers data recovery company.
