  I did an update on my Mac for OS X El Capitan 10.11.6. After that, I realized that I had lost some of the photos that were stored in the iPhoto application. When I open an app (even if I use the "Photos" application), I can see only the photos that were taken with my iPhone (so the pictures that are on my cloud), but I can't view all the other pictures I've added to the library. I tried to look in the trash, but I couldn't find anything. I checked and I have two files in the folder 'Picture', called an iPhoto library and a library of Photos called. They are of different size, but they store the same pictures (when I opened one of the two app, they show the same photos). Please help me find them!   Your question is not clear - you expect import photos in pictures to show too much of iPhoto? If it's not the way it works - iPhoto and photo each have their own separate library and it restricted in anything done in one application

  The only way to get back them if they have been deleted by accident would be to use recovery software.  Like recuva.  Note that it is an application of part 3 and it is not supported by Microsoft or these forums.

  If they were just moved to a different location, and you do not know that location, you can try opening Explorer and search for a known file name or just an extension, type of photo as a .jpg or .png and look at the results it presents to see if you can find them.

  I am in terms of creative photography of cloud and install updates on a regular basis. I recently moved my Lightroom Catalog to a hard drive external. No problem, until I tried to install the latest updates. Now, my Photo Merge disappeared, even "change in ' - 'merge to HDR in Photoshop' -"Merge to Panorama in Photoshop"options are not available. Current versions: Lightroom CC2015.6.1 Photoshop 2015.5 the last update also installed Camera RAW CC

  What format is the external hard drive? If the drive is formatted NTFS, OS x cannot write to it. You need to install a third-party application that will allow OS x to write to the disk, or you will need to reformat the hard drive for the Mac. If you reformat the external hard drive, you will lose all data currently on the external hard drive.
