Lost partition

my system: 13 "MBP 2014 250 GB

I have had about 90 GB of free space and tried to create a 50GB windows partition. during the process of the entire system crashed, it restarts with a screen like this https://support.apple.com/library/content/dam/edam/applecare/images/en_US/osx/pa nic.png

After that restart, I opened training camp and he said that I don't have enough free space to create a partition (min 50 GB), so I check "about this mac" and it says that my drive is 200 GB and have 45 GB of free. In disk utility, I only see the OSX partition and nothing else.

I now rebooted the ALT key and I found my USB, I chose, but he says no bootable something something

What should I do?

1. the accident left free space in an indeterminate state. It is now a part of the free space.

2. the simplest and safest to return on your disk space is

1 backup OSX and all of your files - use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac - Apple Support .

2. boot into Internet recovery (CMD + Opt + R) - OS X: on OS X Recovery - Apple Support .

3. click on Utilties-> disk utility and erase your entire internal drive.

4. restoration of OSX and your files - use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac - Apple Support .

This requires another external drive that can accommodate TM backup - backup disks that you can use with Time Machine - Apple Support .

I had a configuration of RAID 5 array on LSI SAS 9260 card for data storage and a SATA drive for my operating system partition. I had a problem with WIndows 7 so I'm a new SATA drive and tried to run HP Restore Plus to install Windows 7 on the new SATA drive. Problem is that HP Restore more installed Windows 7 on my RAID 5 array, making me lose my data. I tried to retrieve lost partition (or at least the data on that partition) by using Active @ Partition Recovery and Minitool Partition Recovery, but I can't seem to find the partition. I am a novice when it comes to RAID, so I don't know if I'm missing something that would allow me to recover my data on my RAID Array. The table is installed on the LSI 9260 RAID card. • disk management errors and lost partitions

I have reimagee a older laptop that has a 500 GB drive. In the process, I have partitioned the hard drive in three volumes: a drive T: and V: each with 100 GB and C: got balance. A day or two later, I noticed T: and V: mysteriously disappeared. Fortunately, I didn't put anything in them again, there was no loss of data. However, it seems that I have lost access to disk space. Disk management show up with this:

All traces of T: and V: disappeared. The c: volume 226GB poster (including 148GB is free)... which is all what I think after I had partitioned the disk. But then underneath, the entry to disk 0 C: Watch is affected 465 GB... it is unclear where the balance of 35 GB went. If I try to reduce the volume, it presents me with the total available size 476938MB and shrink space 151834 MB. If I try to further reduce 1 MB, it fails with the error "Virtual Disk Manager: the parameter is incorrect."

    Hello

How did you install Windows 7 on HARD drive?
Format you the HARD disk during the installation process?

Disk Management displays only a single partition. Which is really strange because even if the HARD disk should be formatted, you should get at least two partitions (a small partition for restore Win 7 files) and a larger system partition C

I think you should try to change the size of partitions in disk management C.
Right click on the partition and decrease the size of the partition. Then you could create a new partition and could mark it is active.

It would be very interesting to know how the partition is displayed in Windows Explorer.

Our problem appears in the generation of DDL: partitions of tables and indexes are generated fine except the primary partitions it shows key - phrase-'alter table' primary key as if it was not partitioned.

    Published by: Berni 11/29/2010 12:37

    Hello Bernat,

for local partitioning, you need to create indexes separated on column PK (if you do not already). Set partitioning for this index, and then in the dialog box for the primary key in the physical model:
    (1) in the 'Général' tab, clause "with the help of the index' - select 'by the name of the index.
    (2) in tab 'using Index' - 'Existing Index' drop-down list box - select defined index.

Global partitioning can be created directly on the primary key in the physical model.

    * PS: I live in Tunisia and I can't order the recovery DVD

    Hello

If you place your order of recovery disks is not possible, here's another solution, you can try.

Before you try the following, make sure that you can always read the character product activation key 25 on your label Windows COA (5 blocks of 5 alphanumeric games).

An example of a COA label can be seen here.

You can create a Windows 7 installation disc yourself using another PC - just download the good Disk Image ( must be the same version originally supplied with your PC - IE probably Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit ) from the link below and use an app like ImgBurn to burn the ISO correctly on a blank DVD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write an ISO on a disc is here.  These Images are clean and a well respected source, however there are only limited versions available.

    Windows 7 sp1-iso-official-32-bit-and-64-bit

Use the disk to perform the installation, enter the activation key of Windows on the label of the COA at the request and once the installation is complete, use ' 'phone Method' described in detail in the link below to activate the operating system -this made method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who want to just have a new installation of Windows 7 without additional software load normally comes with OEM installations.

    http://www.kodyaz.com/articles/how-to-activate-Windows-7-by-phone.aspx

  • Lost to a data partition drive letter. Restored by using diskpart

Original title: lost Partition... Help, please...!

I wanted to make a partition and so I shrunk C: drive by going right on my computer - manage - disk management - selected the C: drive and retractable... He gave me the new disc called F: with 66,93 GB of space... I moved some data in the F: drive. He has worked for two days, but now I can't see drive F: in my computer, but we see here in disk management with the allocated space of 66,93 GB... It does not drive letter show he... It's in the blue bar. and I was unable to open it, or view the properties.

It prompted an error message: "operation failed to complete because the disk management console view is not updated...» »

Is there anyway that I can open it? or other means to recover the files? My personal data are there I want to come back...

Help, please.! I m desperate... I really need the files...

    Hi Roland Bhatt,.

Thank you for visiting Microsoft Answers.

Try to use diskpart to assign a drive letter to the drive.

    1. on the start Orb > type diskpart.

2 - Click on diskpart in the above results > click Run as administrator.

    3. after diskpart loads type list volume, press on enter.

You should notice that you can see your partition you use for your data, it should not not have a drive letter assigned to it.

    4. type select volume 6 (replace 6 with the number of the volume assigned to the partition in question).

    5. type assign letter Z (replace Z with the letter you want to assign).

When you look in the computer, you should be able to see your score.

  • Bootcamp deleted missing partition, but can not recover the partition space

Tried to install 10 Windows via Bootcamp on my Mac. First, I formatted the bootcamp partition. Then I got the following message: could not create a new partition or locate an existing one. For more information, see the Setup logs files.

I tried five times with Bootcamp installed Windows 10. Then I advice to delete the partition and create a new. So I did. Still did not work. When I rebooted my mac, 50 GB missing as you can see here:

I tried to restore the partition, but there is no possibility to do so, as you can see here:

I read so many posts that I don't know what to do anymore. I don't mind factory reset my macbook, but it will restore my lost partition as I probably only erase the 450 GB instead of the 500 GB SSD?

I read in several messages (this one in general: Bootcamp Partition missing during startup) that this information might be required, so I added from the outset:

  • error 0xC0000225, recovery partition does not start

    Hello

    I have a HP dv7 with Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit.

A few months ago, I did a factory restore, the recovery partition start (I have no recovery disks). After that, I thought to divide my C: partition where Windows is installed, and I did it with Windows disk management.

So my new scores were: C: D: with recovery, OS, E: HP_Tools and g.: the new partition.

A few days ago the sistem ran very hard, so I thought I do another factory restore from the recovery partition. When I rebooted and you press F11, I got the "0xc0000225 error".

I have a Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit bootable drive and I tried Startup Repair tool and other repairs of sistem, checks HDD, but everything seems to be ok.

I reinstalled the operating system, from the disk bootable on C: (OS starts and works well) and let the other partitions as they were... but it seems that the recovery partition still does not start if I can do a restore from the factory with all the drivers and utilities, as they were at the beginning.

Any ideas on how I can do?

    Thank you!

It seemed that it there was not much I could do about this problem. My disk is dynamic, there is no Recovery Manager from the Start Menu, there has not been any creation of HP with HP folder recovery support. I managed somehow to make a repair disk, I tried it but no results, the error kept popping out every time.

I inserted the Windows 7 disc to try to delete all partitions, including the recovery and HP-tools and do a Windows Installer Cleanup, but the Format, New and Delete buttons are inactive.

I did some scans disk and memory tests, everything was ok... I started with a disc of Hiren and accesed the HARD drive with a program based on linux and so I managed to delete the partitions.

After I installed a new copy of Windows 7 to work with my SN and everything was ok. Unfortunately I lost partitions recovery and HP-tools, but at least it works well again.

Thanks for your all your support.
