  Anyone know what could be the reason for the screen goes black and turns off when the laptop wakes up?
  The laptop is Toshiba Portege Z830 - 11 M W7HP, purchased in September.

  The problem started shortly after I bought the laptop, but gradually began with a period of 1-2 seconds black screen whenever I tried to wake the portable computer of fashion 'sleep'. He didn't look like a regular part "blackout" of the wake-up process so I just tried to ignore it, but it started to happen more often recently. It got really worse after two months of use and the black screen two or three times until I'm at the login screen. The error was also difficult to re-create because it was random.   As far as I know if you connect your device to the TV, check the settings for S-video on the TV.

  By the way:
  All new TVs from 70 cm to the top screen diagonal must effectively control S-Video connection on SCART. However, this should be enabled in some cases. If the image does not appear in the color anyway, your TV doesn't support certainly S-video. In this case there are adapters that allows S-Video Composite video (RCA cable). You can find it in all the electronic stores.

GoTo all programs search and type in Recovery Manager click that above and open it. Click Yes (white box) so it apears. Select Microsoft System Restore Click next to three windows now you will see a list of dates, select a date prior to the installation of the update, then click. Let the computer do its restoration. Once done see if your problem is solved, if so try the update again, make you that the update is for 64-bit Windows 7 computers before you download it again. If that happens again once you know what AVG is not compatible for your computer.

  Probably you have only received part of the witch update caused this problem due to the disruption of atmospheres. Sometimes this happens. Put day of my HP only made once.   The screen went black and all I could see was the mouse pointer.  There is no ameioration or changes on the hardware of all kinds.  I wonder if one of my employees has a virus on the computer.  I could not do in safe mode, even if I tried to press F8.  If I put in the Windows XP CD, the screen would go black after that he loaded the system files, just like at the start of Windows XP.  So I used Acronis PC Backup and Recovery and make a recovery disc and used to reformat the hard drive and then I reinstalled Windows XP.  Everything has been great to work for.
