LR 3 points to an earlier (uninstalled) version of the PS

Hello - I have LR 3 and Photoshop CS5. (And I have Photoshop CS3 and CS4, which I uninstalled it).  For some reason any "Edit" Commander LR dash think my main external editor is CS3 (vs CS5).  (The first choice for the "Edit" command is "change in C:\Program Adobe Photoshop CS3\Photoshop... ") And in Edit-> Preferences-> editing external, it shows the same for the primary external editor - and I see no way to change this.

I've defined the additional external editor to point to Photoshop CS5, so I don't have a workaround solution works.  But it would be nice if I didn't have to do.  Any ideas on how to get 3 LR to recognize that I have Photoshop CS5 installed?   Thank you!

You can have a look at this TechNote from Adobe on this matter.

  • How to restore a significant update to Windows 7 I lost after a restart for an earlier version of the system restore point?

I am running Windows 7 64-bit Service Pack 1 on a desktop HP Pavilion Elite HPE-350 t. Recently, a malfunction of Windows at startup caused my father reboot the system to a previous system restore point. (He says it was one of several options at startup.) Everything seems to work fine now except that I seem to have lost a critical update Windows downloaded after the restore point, Windows Update Agent 7.6.7600.256. Still, there are in my Windows update history and is listed as "installed successfully", but when I check my updates installed, it is absent. Also, when I try to search for updates installed, I get a message indicating that Windows is up-to-date. I can't uninstall the update and re - install because it is missing from my list of installed updates. So I guess that the re-start to a previous system restore point has put this important WIndows update in limbo. How can ensure me that this update is installed correctly and working properly?

    Hello hakimbenzakis,

Absolutely, because based on that you are running the latest version of the Windows Update Agent and have the last update to it.

    ·         You have installed all software associated with the device?

    ·         Do you have any device life Cam earlier?

Check to see if the following is useful.

  • I'm trying to print using my own profile and no color management.   I have found a lead to the Adobe Color Print Utility but reached a point where he declared that she would not work with future versions of the Mac operating system.   I have Mac OS 10,11,

I have been printing PSD images with my own profiles and color management using an Epson R2880.

I've now changed to a Mac with OO 10.11.3 and unable to replace the color management.   I found a lead on the Adobe Color printer utility but failed and got a message saying that the utility has only worked with an earlier version of the OS 10.   Is there a way to turn this problem?

    GHK

You don't want or need to use the old setting 'No Color Management'. Is no longer the right way to print with a custom printer profile, in the current versions of Photoshop and OS X.

To use a custom profile to print, use the attached picture settings:

    • In the print dialog box, set the Photoshop color management menu manages colors.
    • Select your profile to the printer in the printer profile menu.
    • In the settings of printer driver Epson (under Printer Setup button) make sure that the Epson printer driver is set to the color - off management.

I don't know why Adobe Color Printer Utility works in 10.11.3, because I can throw on OS X 10.10 and 10.11. But in the end, it doesn't matter, because you don't want to use it for this purpose Adobe Color Printer Utility is only to print a profiling target, no images. And it won't let you print using your custom printer profile, because the whole point of the utility is to print with no discoloration whatsoever.

  • Is it is possible to always run an earlier version at the same time as Acrobat DC?

I have plugins that I need that do not work on domain controller. Is it possible to always run an earlier and under Acrobat DC version at the same time? Or should I downgrade to the previous version somehow? And how do I that Creative Cloud?

    Hi dv8kiwi,

Please note that once you have installed Acrobat DC on your machine, it will automatically uninstall any previous version of Acrobat is installed on your computer.

You might check out this link to KB doc for more details on the same below:

Try Acrobat deleted the previous version

If you still want to downgrade to the previous version, then you will first need to uninstall Acrobat DC and then install the version of Acrobat that you were previously using.

Please also indicate if you want to install your previous version of Acrobat using Creative Cloud or something.

    Let me know.

    Kind regards

  • How can I go back to an earlier version of the edge animate?

Since the upgrade onboard animate 3 CC, I have not been able to work on my project. Is it possible to revert to a previous version?

I uninstalled and installed an earlier version, but the file does not open, because he says that he was created in a newer version of the edge. Is there a way to get around this? Can I change something in the code files of edge that will identify the file as being from the previous version?

I was able to get any work done on this project since the beginning of February.

I could download Edge animate CC 2.0 by logging into my account of cloud. Then I opened the file edge.js in edge code and I replaced the part where he identifies the version with...

    version: "2.0.1"

    minimumCompatibleVersion: "2.0.0"

    build: "2.0.1.268."

I had to do this once for the main stage and once for each symbol.

There is a drop down menu that says only if you are connected to a paid account of cloud, and you can choose to download the old version. It is installed in a new folder, so you can always run the latest version as well.

  • Photosmart C7280 AIO: Installation of an earlier version of the AIO software to solve the problems of scanning?

I had nothing but troubles attempt at analysis of the Solution Center with my Windows 7 upgraded to professional to Home Premium.  I've seen a lot of posts on sysems that will print but not scan.  None of the solutions proposed on these threads has worked for me. I ran print and Scan of the doctor.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version (PS_AIO_02_Net_Full_Win_WW_130_140).  I run L4 uninstall and reinstalled the latest version.  I scanned my computer against viruses and malware.  I ran "SCF/scannow".  I have run memory scans.  I did "unplug everything" and reset.  I ran the product as an administrator.  I tried to run several compatibility modes.  This past for more than a week, and I was not inactive.  You name it I did it.  I don't want to turn on my computer to its configuration 2 years up to what I've exhausted all other possibilities.

Now for the real question (for those who have had this or similar questions)... Has anyone everything uninstalled and tried to install an older version (which can be improved later)?  My old version on my OLD XP laptop works fine.  I still have the older 100_228_PS_AIO_02_Full_Net_enu_NB verson of the installer.  If it will install (and work) on the WIN7PRO, I'd be happy.  Darn, I just try that anyway, but I would feel more comfortable if I knew that someone had tried (win or lose).

    All suggestions are solicited.

I have no recourse to the use of the old S/w.  I kept search some old discussions in this forum and finally a couple linked together which resulted in success (after several attempts at all the great suggestions that I had read in the forum).  BUT. one stands out because it spoke of my exact problem. Scanning from HP with my Photosmart C7280 solutions Center after the upgrade to Windows 7 Edition Home Premium to Windows 7 Professional.  The solution has been presented in a thread of 2009:

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/printer-all-in-one-software-drivers/after-Windows-7-upgrade-printer-is-installed-but-nothing/m-p/174825#M8248

I landed on this all to coincidentally linking 2010 regarding a similar issue but diferent (similar = upgrade, different = print):

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/printer-all-in-one-software-drivers/networked-C6280-and-Windows-7-64-bit/TD-p/217282

I am so happy that the old wires still exist in this forum.  The solutions are not always the most obvious, especially for those of us who have been around computers for almost 40 years and have some predisposed notions.

Thank you to everyone.  Now to save this thing before something else goes south.

  • had two versions of the program, uninstalled oldest, tried to use the one installed but had windows message reconfiguration.

had two versions of the program, uninstalled oldest, tried to use the one installed but had windows message reconfiguration. nothing seems to be the case so I cancelled the operation. Now, I can not reinstall or uninstall for the program is open. Help!

Looks like you may have a virus or other malware. Get your updated antivirus program and boot into Safe Mode. Note that some viruses can hide from your normal antivirus program, so you really need to scan in Safe Mode. To enter in Safe Mode when you turn on first, press F8 on every seconds until you get the menu, and then select Safe Mode. Then run a complete system scan.

Since you posted your product key on a public web site, it has now
almost certainly already been copied and used by hackers all over the
world. This means that Microsoft disables this button so it can't be
    more used.

Please, in the future, never publish your key like this.

But leaving that aside for the moment, to answer your question, if
It is a key to the retail sale, Yes, you can use it on another computer. If it's a
    OEM key, no you can't.

  • Once you install a new printer firmware for your printer, is it possible to return to the earlier version of the firmware of the printer in case an error occurs?

Once you install a new printer firmware for your printer, is it possible to return to the earlier version of the firmware of the printer in case an error occurs?

It may be an option, as long as the error prevents you to connect to the machine. Even so, some firmware update software will not allow a downgrade. This is something that you should go to the manufacturer of the printer for more information.

  • Windows7 with Windows XP to run earlier versions of the partitioning software

I would like to partition my windows7 notebook pc with xp to run earlier versions of the software.  My laptop is the Pavilion dv7-4177nr... someone has any ideas on how to do it without pain? (I'm a novice user with some smarts but rather)...

There is no painless way to do it, especially on this model. It is possible but takes a lot of work and struggle. It might be a better option to use Anytime Upgrade in the Start Menu to go to 7 Pro or Ultimate. Then, you can download and use the free XP Mode that MS makes available.

The 32-bit version will not download because I have other 32-bit Office programs on my computer... ideas?

When you register for the download, it should offer the possibility of either 32 or 64-bit:

Choose the 32-bit or 64 -bit version of Office - Publisher - Office.com
