LR6 cannot prepare the Image file to use w / plugins or other publishers

After having transferred my files DNG image LR6 on the drive internal of my Mac on an external hard drive, I am unable to use plug-ins or other image editors, like NIK plug ins or publishers of PS or affinity I used before. I did not move the image files using the operating system but don't have in LR drag - move my photos from my internal HD file to a new pictures folder configured in an HD external, made it in the Panel LR folders on the left side of the screen of the library. Now, when I try to use any plug in NIK or another editor, I get the following message appears:

"Lightroom could not prepare the file selected to Volumes/G-DRIVE/JTO LR6 Photos/2016/2016-01-03/1601_untitled_570.DNG for editing. It will not open. "The same message for image files I select for use in my plug ins or other publishers.

After that I moved the files to the new drive, in the library toolbar I also clicked on the options to find all records of missing persons and to validate DNG files. All him remains checked & seems to work as it should.  I also determined that I have on the new external drive write permissions by reviewing it in the window read the information.  Adobe LR online support also suggested remove my files of preference LR that slowed now on LR.  Can someone figure this or help me do?

I'm not certain how or when I had actually these problems solved, but after reset files preferably twice & install the upgrade to LR6.6 & Optimizing my catalog & restarting the Mac after each of these actions, I am now able to use the function "change in" in the toolbar pictures to access all of my NIK plug ins & my external editors (Photoshop CS5 & affinity Photo). In the middle of all this that I started also encounter behavior very slow & erratic LR, as well as the inability to recognize & load images of my folders in the library, which forced me force leave once.  If at this point, I'll just keep my fingers crossed & exploit!

  • could not see the image tiff, printed using Microsoft Office Image writer

My OS is Windows Vista Home Premium.

I am able to print a document using the printer, but when I print the same document by selecting the Microsoft Office Image writer, I cannot find the image file to the location that I saved. I am able to see the image immediately after printing, but does not after the closing of the window. I am able to see the document I'm trying to attach it to an email in the file to be attached to window, but if I join I get an error message saying that the file is not found at the location. If anyone can help...?

Ooes that happen with all the tiff images or just a specific document?  It happens with any other type of file?

If it occurs with a single document and works very well with other tiff files, then I would say that the file is corrupted.  Can you open it directly?  It may be a problem with Office Image Writer, and possibly your e-mail program - but it's not likely if they work with other files, tiff and other file types.

Maybe the Office has a feature to repair corrupted files.  Also if the problem affects all files tiff and other types of files when you use Image Writer, I suggest that repost you your question in the Forum of the Office to: http://www.microsoft.com/office/community/en-us/flyoutoverview.mspx where the experts at the office will be more than happy to help you with your problem.  You can also find 3rd-party file corruption repair sofware online by searching for what I said just to www.download.com, www.tucows.com, Bing and Google.  If you use Outlook for e-mail, you can after there as well to cover the messaging problem you described.  If you use another e-mail program, answer simply by name.

    I hope this helps.

  • Files adjusted in Lightroom transfer to another computer if you need to reload the image files?

I'm used to make adjustments in Camera RAW and copy the image files for use on multiple workstations.  In this case, my settings go with the image file.  If I do my settings using Lightroom and move the image files to another computer I'll lose these adjustments?  I wonder if I invest all my time adjustment using Lightroom and my computer freezes I'll lose these adjustments even if I am backing up my files to an external drive.

You wrote: "if I do my settings using Lightroom and move the image files to another computer I lose these adaptations?

Yes, you will lose them unless you save in xmp. You're saving xmp is pressing the CTRL / Cmd + letter "S" or

    (a) in the library Module, you'll > metadata > save metadata to file, or

    (b) in the develop Module, you'll > Photo > save metadata to file.

Without , Lr writes the changes to the catalog only. And, if you transfer pictures without the catalog to another computer your changes will be lost on the second computer.

By an xmp file will be created that stores changes. In the case of a DNG format changes are not written in Xmp, but in the file header - same effect.

Note, however, that not everything can be stored in xmp files. For example, collections, stacking are stored in the catalog only.

This is probably because the record to xmp has been created to allow adjustment of Lr can be accessed in other Adobe products (for example, bridge). Naturally, only those "features" should be written in xmp that the other program can display.

  • When you use Windows Explorer to view the files and folders, the thumbnails of image files appear briefly then are replaced with the default icon of the image file. I tried the answers to similar problems, but none worked.

Browse the folders with image files, I cannot see the thumbnail icons for images correctly.  I know, it should be possible, but I can't do it.

When I first open a folder in Explorer, I see the correct images for a fraction of a second, then all images are replaced by the thumbnail of the image file (which looks like part of a digital SLR).
I put all folders to display picture to display the preview and the filter, and the "always show icons never thumbnails" is not checked.  Display file icon "on the photos' is unchecked (I tried checking, too, without change).  I also deleted the thumbnails using disk cleanup as suggested on another question, but which did not allow them.
The result is that, if I want to open an image for editing or downloading, I have to use a third-party application (for example, Pentax Photo Browser) to preview images, and then return to the Explorer window to select the correct file by name. Don't try to difficulty of these things that are not broken.

    izzlecrate,
You might want to try it and I just did this procedure myself a moment ago and surprising, it worked!  First of all I must tell you that I have Windows Vista, but the information I got was for Windows 7 and it worked.

First: You must create a NEW FOLDER and put it on your desktop.
Second: Move or copy the contents of the original file in the NEW FOLDER on the desktop. I copied the content, just in case something went wrong.
Third: After that is finished and all the contents are inside you.
Fourth: On the desktop right click on the folder and click Properties at the bottom of the box.
Fifth: Click Customize tab at the top and then the Middle click on DEFAULT settings for the folder.  Click on apply to, click OK and your done

NOW! You can move the folder wherever you want by drag-and - drop the folder and when it's done and that's the best part, you should see the thumbnails of the folder on the EDGE of the folder that you just created.  It worked for me and I hope it works for you.
I have 10 years of experience with my computer and have troubleshooted my friends for viruses and other computer problems successfully.  I'm advanced computer user.

That this is done, it restores the folder its original settings.  Good luck! Rick

  • "The system cannot find the specified file" error when you try to install a hotfix/cab package using the DISM tool Package Manager

I'm testing the integrity of the addon ".cab" packages and patches by installing using the Package Manager (pkgmgr.exe), or alternatively, the Deployment Image Servicing and Management Tool (DISM.exe) for Windows 7.  To do this, I am aware that I have to call a tool through the command line.

In the Package Manager, I use the syntax

    Command prompt > pkgmgr.exe /ip /m:C:\Test\test.cab

Otherwise, I might add the path in quotes:

    "Command prompt > pkgmgr.exe /ip /m:"C:\Test\test.cab.

The error returned in pkgmgr is:

Operation failed with 0 x 80070002.  The system cannot find the specified file.

My first impression was that my syntax is incorrect, although I can't have room for error.  The path points to "test.cab" which is a renamed windows addon that contains the necessary file "svcpack" and the file "entries_XX.ini".  I used several different ".cab" file, that which some I know to be genuine, hopefully exclude the possibility of a corrupted or incompatible file.  I also tried this procedure on different computers and received the same error code, so I doubt that the tool pkgmgr istelf is corrupt.

Finally, I tried an alternative Windows 7/8 DISM tool to try to achieve essentially the same task by using the following syntax in a command prompt:

    "Commnand prompt > DISM.exe / Online /PackagePath:"C:\Test\test.cab Add-Package ".

    This produces a similar error:

An error occurred trying to open it - C:\Test\test.cab error: 0 x 80070002
    Error: 2
The system cannot find the specified file.
The DISM log file can be found at C:\Windows\Logs\DISM\dism.log

I'm really not sure why I produce these errors.  Any idea is appreciated.

Please help me.  Thanks in advance.

    Hello

It seems that there are a few system files that have trouble.  One of them being mstsc.exe, I wish you find spyware or infection by the virus first, before you try the next step.  Please see the sticky thread in the security forum.  MVP offers some good advice how to remove these problems.

    http://social.answers.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/vistasecurity/thread/fa30853d-719a-4265-9e7b-9287567d31e3

If everything is clean, we will try a repair installation to replace the problem files and also to ensure that other system files are good.

The 'repair' installation (upgrade on-site) will not affect your installed programs or data.  Just make sure that you are already connected to your computer when you start the installation.  Do not boot from the DVD.

If the installation does not start automatically when you insert the DVD, run setup.exe from your DVD player.

    • When the Setup program starts and the install now screen, click install now.
    • Note When you receive the important Get updates for installation message, click go online.
    • Click upgrade when the which type of installation you want? appears

Please let us know if this solves the problem for you.

  • Restore failed image because of the message error "system cannot find the specified file (0 x 80070002). Is my file of the backup OK folder structure?

I had to reinstall clean Windows 7 64-bit because of the failure of the RAID 1. I have a picture of my original installation system, but I can't restore it; everything I try, I get the message "system cannot find the specified file (0 x 80070002).  I work through a number of possible solutions, without success so far.

According to the kb/951002 (that is for Vista but I can't find an alternative for Win 7) I made sure that the SYSTEM account has read permission for the backup folders and subfolders.  However, the file structure of the specified in the above article backup folder is different from my image file structure.  Specifically, article specified a structure of 'N.zip' file for the backup files but mine are a mixture of XML documents and VHD - i.e. no "zip" files Also, my GlobalCatalog file does not what kind of file, for example, it wouldn't ".wbcat" required file type specified in the article.

The differences above could explain the inability to restore the image and if so, any ideas on what to do about it?

    Kind regards

  • ORA-01124: cannot retrieve the data file 1 - file is in use or recovery

I'm trying to recover the database in waiting, but it gives the error below.

ORA-00283: cool cancelled due to errors
ORA-01124: cannot retrieve the data file 1 - file is in use or recovery, the recovery is already said
    ORA-01110: data file 1: ' I:\ORACLE\QAS\SAPDATA1\SYSTEM_1\SYSTEM. DATA1'

When I checked in the alert log recovery is not started. and later I hae given ' alter database recover Cancel "and the command to meet with the threshold.

    "media recovery has not started.

It seems that the recovery was stuck between the two.
Please advise me how to kill the recovery session that is stuck. because I don't want to bounce the database pending.

    Thanks in advance.

Dataguard and MRP, you run a script before.

In a standby scripted, a session to RETRIEVE the DATABASE would an UNTIL clause (SEQUENCE up to THAT most likely). At the end of the recovery at this point (SEQUENCE #), he left and stop at the database.

In addition, the script is such that when a RECOVERY session is active, another session is not authorized to start. It can loop in pending state or go out and do it again the next scheduled interval.

Apparently your startup script is not strong enough to prevent another session of RECOVERY to start even though the first is active (or it doesn't have a good up to THAT clause and stop, exit, closing stocks)

What you have is a custom implementation of a database of pending. Without all the details of the script, the 'blocking' between sessions (to avoid a second RECOVER start when one is already running) etc... We can't really do much to help you.
Your scripts must be standing with status information. It should be possible for you to discover the 'other' sqlplus session which emanates a DATABASE to RECOVER, but not yet out (p. ex... How about a simple "ps - ef |") grep sql' and ' ps - ef | combination of grep ora"?)

  • How to manage the image files used in PDF forms

With LiveCycle, I created an interactive form for requests of Help Desk-type and the form works perfectly. I tested it and everything works. See the property. Hide, clear the fields. And all other behaviors I added with the Action Builder.

As a final design feature, on my local machine at work, I've added a header image (which is in My Documents > my pictures). I have tested locally and downloaded the form in Sharepoint and tested from there, and from what I can remember, the form went well. The header was intact. So I assume that type of image has been incorporated somehow.

Then I put the House file and opened it and - Voila! -No header image!

    That's happened?

The image files need to be downloaded and the path relative to the location of the file? For me, it doesn't seem to be a huge problem. Something more. I can probably download the image to a location in Sharepoint, and then set the path to the image in the XML file.

But I would like to hear the experiences of those who have used image files in their LiveCycle Forms.

If I understand, you want to use an image that is not currently in this
Folder from the Local Site to site?

a way - click the icon insert a picture in the Insert bar.
Navigate where the picture is and select it. When you click OK; Dreamweaver
should popup a warning dialog box that the image is not within the Site. Don't you
you want to copy it? Click Yes.

Another way to abandonment of dreamweaver and go to the image file on the hard drive
drive. Move or copy to the Local Site folder location.
Then go back to dreamweaver and insert it.

It's a pretty popular mistake these days and sometimes easy to get running, but you also want to figure out how it happened.  I always suspect Symantec/Norton products with this error, but we'll see.

I would start with a chkdsk/r since the recovery CD of Console you make (see below) and please answer a few questions...

Maybe someday the dialog box 'ask a question' forums XP will ask these questions automatically when a new thread is started so I don't have to ask every time.  It might even be possible to solve a problem in a single response when enough information is provided.

Please provide additional information on your system:

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

The question was preceded by a loss of power, aborted reboot or abnormal termination?  (this includes the plug pulling, buttons power, remove the battery, etc.)

The afflicted system has a CD/DVD drive work?

You have a true bootable XP installation CD (it is not the same as any recovery CD provided with your system)?

Fill in the blank: my system was working fine until this happened: _.

If the system works, what do you think might have changed since the last time it did not work properly?

If you have no XP bootable media (or aren't sure you have) create a bootable XP Recovery CD of Console and do not forget.

This is not the same as recovery disks that may have come to a store to purchase the system.

You can make a bootable Recovery Console CD by downloading an ISO file and burn it to a CD.

The ISO bootable image file you need to download is called:

    xp_rec_con. ISO

    Download the ISO from here:

    http://www.mediafire.com/?ueyyzfymmig

Use a new CD and this simple and free program to burn your ISO file and create your bootable CD:

    http://www.ImgBurn.com/

Here are some instructions for ImgBurn:

    http://Forum.ImgBurn.com/index.php?showtopic=61

It would be a good idea to test your bootable CD on a computer running.

You may need to adjust the computer BIOS settings to use the CD-ROM drive as the first device to boot instead of the hard drive.  These adjustments are made before Windows tries to load.  If you miss it, you will need to restart the system again.

When you start on the CD, follow the instructions:

Press any key to boot from CD...

    Installing Windows... going to pronounce.

Press 'R' to enter the Recovery Console.

Select the installation that you want to access (usually 1: C:\WINDOWS)

You may be asked to enter the password (usually empty).

You should be in the folder C:\WINDOWS.  It's the same as the

C:\Windows folder that you see in Solution Explorer.

The Recovery Console allows base as file commands: copy, rename, replace, delete, chkdsk, fixboot, fixmbr, cd, etc.

For a list of the commands in the Recovery Console, type help at the prompt of commands or read on here XP Recovery Console:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/proddocs/en-us/recovery_console_cmds.mspx?mfr=true

A good idea before you start things must first verify the integrity of your file system by using the chkdsk command.

In the command prompt window, run the chkdsk command on the drive where Windows is installed to try to fix any problems on the afflicted player.

Running chkdsk is fine, even if he finds no problem.  It won't hurt anything to run it.

Assuming your boot drive is C, run the following command:

    CHKDSK C: /r

Let chkdsk finish to correct the problems, he could find.

It may take a long time for chkdsk complete or they seem to be "stuck".  Be patient.  If the HARD drive led blinks always, chkdsk is something.  Keep an eye on the amount of the percentage to be sure that it is still making progress.  It may even seem to go back sometime.

You must run chkdsk/r again until it finds no error to correct.

Remove the CD, and then type "exit" to exit the RC and restart the computer.

You have not to set the BIOS to boot the disk HARD since the CD won't be.

Do, or do not. There is no test.

I decided to implement the points for a new puppy instead of a pony!
