LWAPP: upgrading a 1242AG in light mode

Hello

I'm trying to upgrade a stand-alone gateway AP-AIR1242AG lightly, but evertime I start tool, the process is stopped, because the tool cannot reach the regulator. The tool recommends that I should allow Telnet, but it is already authorized.

I can reach the management interface of ping, but something else (web, ssh, telnet) does not work

the ap has the version 12.3 (7) JA1

controller (wlc 5508) 7.0.98.0

Upgrade tool 3.4

12.3 (11) image JX1

Can someone help me solve this problem?

If it's a 1242 AP latest I just manually load the image Conversion LWAPP.

by using this command

Archives/force-reload download-sw / overwrite tftp: / //c1240-rcvk9w8-tar.124-21a.JA2.tar

    Hi Jason,

Load the standalone IOS using the mode button. Once the IOS is running, copy the recovery image using the "copy tftp: flash:" and change the boot settings to start the recovery image.

Once the AP boots the recovery image, make sure the AP can ping to the IP address of the WLC management and use the command 'lwap ap controller ip address.

    I hope this helps.

I understand the dock with do not adjust in the dark when option selected.  To avoid to go directly into a relocation, we will test to see if the behavior persists in a new user and also in safe mode.

    Hello

My Tecra R850 - 1 CL (with Ericsson 3 G modem) has 2 LEDs for the network: a yellow for the WiFi LED and one light blue for 3G.

Windows 7 64 bit, everything worked OK and Fn + F8 allows to enable or disable the WiFi and 3G.

Since I've upgraded to Windows 8, Fn + F8 works only in flight mode, yellow seeing Wifi is always the same mode aircraft and blue indicator of 3G is almost always on, even when 3G is not connected or when the adapter is disabled.

I did the upgrade of W8 with upgrade Toshiba Utilities, and the computer is up-to-date (BIOS and drivers).

How you can not get a correct behavior for network LED indicators?

The Fn + F8 key combination 8 jobs to earn running a little different.

According to me that ap1700 can start using a light image which is on the page of downloading software for AP2700/3700.  Is this correct?

Yes, that's correct, according to this 1700/2700/2600/3600/3700 all have the same image starting with "ap3g2-xxx '.

  • upgrade to new version-> mixed mode

We intend to move to 8.0.1. our environment must be 24 x 7, so all of our servers are load balanced and redundant. Is it possible to work with different versions of vWorkspace in 1 environment? Let's say I have 2 brokers a 7.6 and the other 8.0.1? or 1 secure gateway 7.6 and the other 8.0.1? and of course RDSSH servers, can run 7.6 and 8.0.1? Mixed Setup will not forever, just a few days. Due to availability 24 x 7, we cannot restart each server whenever we want.

With 8.0.1 and beyond, you can upgrade all your brokers.
The RDSH will continue to work, but the management consoles will be error.

  • Upgrade protection mode

I've never used any except Performance Data Guard protection mode before so please forgive me if my questions seem ignorant.

I have a primary database with 2 two Standby currently operating mode maximum performance. The primary is a 2 node RAC cluster. The two reserves are a single instance. None of the databases in the configuration use Eve newspapers (yet). I am currently using ARCH to ship newspapers to two standbys. All databases are running version 11.2. I do not use Data Guard Broker.

I am considering just upgrade ensures maximum availability protection mode # 2, but I don't know if it of really what I want or not. Maybe someone here with a better understanding can confirm if it is the best choice.

My goal is to get the possible maximum data protection with no performance impact whatsoever on the primary database.

As I understand it maximum availability (and I am not sure I do), a commit issued on the primary will not end until waiting for maximum availability has accused receipt of data recovery. If the link between the two breaks down, which could introduce a significant delay in the validation. Is this correct? In my situation any impact on performance on the primary DB is unacceptable.

Perhaps what I want, it's maximum performance using newspapers of the previous day, with the LGWR and ASYNC attributes enabled on the corresponding parameter log_archive_dest_n. I understand that a commit on the primary will end as soon as it again is written in the local newspaper of restoration by progress and of the availability of the standby destination will have no impact on performance at all. In general the day before will remain only a few seconds behind the primary. If the link between the two breaks down, I can warn me of the situation with a simple query v$ dataguard_stats and fix everything that is the underlying problem.

Can someone please confirm me if I understand the behavior of postings under these two different modes of protection and modes of transport?

Also, if I do create a newspaper waiting for the destination, also should I create them on primary and other sleep as well.

    Thank you.

The 2 modes of protection higher impact on performance on the primary. You can't avoid it. You can only try to limit this impact.
This is the price you pay for any loss of data in case of failover.
