  I am currently working on a VMware View Horizon project and the cap of the great exhibition is Microsoft Lync 2013. I had the matching between the vdi Lync plugin and the Lync client in the virtual office to work. During the process of matching the right icon indicates the attempt of local loading audio or video devices. When I connect a USB headset it detects and when I perform a test call, I hear only noise and not a good tone. Can I use only Lync support audio or video devices or it can be any USB device? I also mentioned the details of the current configuration of VMware View Horizon.

  I have a dev and instances of the Apex on different servers of prod. I want a test instance on the same server as the instance of dev.
  
  I use workspace import/export so all the workspaces instance have the same id of the workspace. The application ID is the same on each instance in the same workspace. This allows the pages to be exported or imported in the case of differenct.
  
  My question is (I'm sure it's obvious) I can have several instances of the Apex on the same database (dev and test) and have each the same instance ID workspace, etc..

  I start this new thread as it appears by getting the Lync 2013 VDI Plugin works in Windows 8 is going to be different from that of Windows 7 SP1 and Windows 2008 R2.   The original on Windows 7 and Lync thread is posted here: http://communities.vmware.com/thread/446960?tstart=0

  Here's what I tested and I can determine:

  PC/computer laptop/point of customer #1 endpoint (Client light 10Zig):

  No installed Office

  Audio redirection works, but the web camera does not have to be picked up.  Its a HD LifeCam Microsoft and is supported by Lync 2010/2013.  I checked the VDI connects to the virtual computer and it seems the plugin Lync VDI successfully syncs.  However, I'm never invited to re - enter my credentials of Lync as I do Windows 7/2008 R2.  In addition, I don't see the 'two PC with the green check mark' in the lower right corner of Lync.  Who should be present after a successful synchronization of Lync VDI.  In fact, there no icons in the lower right corner at all.

  After some further reading, I decided to download and install Skype through shop Windows.  Also, it does not recognize my camera.  In my opinion, the Feature Pack is perhaps the issue here, but I don't know how to dig one more away.  TonyHuynh201110141, any ideas?

  I had a co-worker for his Mac with the new client View 3 trial and Lync VDI works as expected.  I tried again on my side and noticed that it takes exactly 5 minutes to make me a successful pairing.  I remove the Lync VDI plugin, then reinstall to see if that makes a difference.  At least I know that two important data points:

  1 Lync VDI still works

  2. the issue was on only my endpoint device.

• Custom Logging Codes and Messages database options

  I use TestStand 4.5 with the provided standard SQL database schema. I noticed that in the table UUT_RESULT the only time where what a UUT_ERROR_CODE or a UUT_ERROR_MESSAGE is written is when the UUT_STATUS is error. I would like to be able to connect our custom FileGlobals.Error_code and FileGlobals.Error_text in these fields when the UUT fails a test.

  I'm rather not change the schema but just get help on how to get my global variables in the correct fields.

  To accomplish what you're trying to do, IE. the value of the message and the error code USE without updating the database schema, you would have to change the entry points for Single Pass and Test UUT for patterns that you use. You must add a step after the MainSequence called step that evaluates if the call to MainSequence failed and if that were the case, change the last result placed in the Locals.ResultList table. You must set the Locals.ResultList [x]. Error.Code and Locals.ResultList [0]. Error.Msg properties on this result for the global values you mentioned. If overall file values in the template file, then this is an easy task. If the global file value is in the customer file or another file, you will need succeed somehow to the entry point. Many options: store values in station model and global entry point will recover, have value assign customer at the local level in the point of entry using expression as RunState.Root.Locals... or create temporary properties on Execution.RunTimeVariables that contains the model entry point access determine if exists and pull values of. You will need to make sure that the previous values are disabled before the next USE. I hope this helps...

  We need to configure a few Dell N2024P for Lync VoIP switches, in addition to the QoS DSCP global configuration you aware Lync needs to divide the network into two VLANs or is not necessary and prioritize traffic via DSCP is sufficient for the voice quality?

• Bad_Pool_Header BSOD on several PC randomly after installing Lync 2013

  We just deployed Microsoft Lync 2013 in our Organization.  In fact, we have about 18 machines Windows XP left so they Lync 2010, but on 100 machines Win 7 with 2013.

  Since this installation, there were a few random BSODS multiple computers and they are usually BAD_POOL_HEADER and it refers to two files, ntoskrnl.exe, and win32k.sys.
  That they come from different machines, it cannot be the corruption of the local memory.  If it's a particular machine I would exchange the RAM, but it is not that.
  Windows 7 Pro 64-bit machines.  Office 2010 32-bit.  The last change is Lync 2013 15.0.4517.1004 MSO 15.0.4517.1005 32-bit.  Before deploying Lync 2013, I did have one of these reports.
  The BSOD is random.  Not necessarily the same PC every day.  Maybe 3 or 4 BSOD's a day from different people.  But you really try to determine what is happening here until things get worse.  Also, we run Vipre Antivirus Business.  It is configured to exclude *. OST files, just to help the stability of Outlook 2010 for those who use laptop computers in cached mode.
  Any idea?  I've been collecting dump files.

  It seems that the PC that had the problem had a fntcache.dat of different size, so if that were the case, hopefully regenerating the fntcache.dat will fix the problem.

  No, at this point, a SX20 cannot communicate directly with Lync.

• C240 M3 blocked "memory configuration and test..."

  Hello

  This server was returned by just us to Cisco, which had lent because it was new.   We try to return to service, but have encountered the following problem.

  At first startup, the server receives as much as 'memory configuration and test..' message.  Just this message, it shows no progress in actually memory test.   After a few seconds it turns off, and then turns upward again, repeat that a few times before sit down you with the "memory configuration and test.." message at the top of the screen, but now also showing the address IP of MMIC inside.   The four led above the power button shows green fixed and switch ID unit than the blue LED power buttons, as they should.

  I can get to the MMIC login screen, but the password to the default password so can't get farther in this direction until we discover the new username/password details.  Unless anyone knows how to reset the default MMIC.

  I tried the following recovery steps...

  (1) if we set the J2065 ' Clear CMOS' jumper, the server doesn't work.  It powers up to the day before, but does not respond when you press the power button.

  (2) to the "recovery" of the J2068 rider don't seem to have any effect, the server does not read the USB key recovery file.

  Any ideas?

  I remove the CMOS battery for a while, put back in place, try again and if still nothing... I would look for a motherboard replacement.

  they should not be able to support a standard way of h.264...

  ORA-12514: TNS:listener is not currently of service requested in connect descriptor

  I think that the problem is due host name changed because I have to test and debug the object, re-installed a machine virtual operating system CentOS, re-installed oracle database 11 g and I do not have this problem. The database instance and the listener starts automatically!

  Can someone tell me if, maybe, the problem is with the host has changed? ... and why?

  P.S.: After changing the hostname I also modified the listener.ora and the tnsnames.ora by changing the HOST with the correct host name.

  It seems that you don't install Oracle Database Express Edition (XE). If you post this question in the wrong forum.

  When you install EA or there is no script that starts the database at startup.

  If you wish, you can create by yourself. For example search for instructions to Google how to create script.

  I have a custom ADF taskflow that is deployed and used in WebCenter spaces, trying to understand the process of development and debugging. How can I debug this ADF taskflow outside WebCenter, i.e. in JDeveloper spaces? Can they just be running on the server Weblogic integrated or what I need to find a way to set up debugging on the server, WebCenter?

  The white paper is nice enough explaining the new way on the deployment of the task flows into the portal and to persist on questions of web.xml.

  From my experience, if the task runs are fully developed without any dependency (spaces) Portal (like spaces API or EL Expressions) they can be perfectly run locally and tested before deploying to the portal (spaces).

  However, sometimes the task developed flow are dependent on runs inside the portal (application for spaces). From my experience, I always try to have my developers working with a Virtual Machine with an installation of site in order to get the speed in testing and deployment of task flows to the portal (spaces).

  Summarize:

  • Portal (spaces): Local Virtual Machine.
  • : Portal Install ADF frame JDev WebLogic integrated in order to have the opportunity to consume MDS development database. It allows all developers work in their integrated WebLogic sharing MDS and Services installed in a Dev environment.
