Hi John,.

If your server continues loop to the configuration screen very probably bios is damaged and you need to recover.

See the documentation for help you recover corrupted BIOS. I suggest that you try Method 2.

Using the BIOS Recovery header J41

http://www.Cisco.com/c/en/us/TD/docs/unified_computing/UCS/c/HW/C220/ins...

To get the recovery.cap file, you must download the HUU of the version currently installed on your server (you can find this version of the Mmic) and extract the iso.   For example, for the 1.5 (7th) version HUU him recover the file is located in the following location

UCS-C220-Huu-1.5.7e\C220M3-1.5.7e\1.5.7e\bios\recovery

    Hello

    ·         What is the brand and model of the computer?

    ·         You get the error message?

    ·         Did you check the connection of the cable to the monitor?

    ·         Have you tried to update to the latest graphics card and motherboard chipset drivers?

First, try to connect your monitor to a well known PC, maybe the old laptop that you use now. If the monitor works, the problem is with the video card in your PC. If the monitor does not light, the monitor. It is usually cheaper to buy a new monitor that in order to be an old repaired, unless the monitor is still under warranty.

Try connecting a monitor well known to your PC. If the monitor works, your old monitor is fried and needs to be replaced.

If your monitor works when connected to another PC, the problem could be your video card. First, and then you turn on your PC, the power and cooling case fans run they. If they do not, it could be the power supply.

Then, open the computer case. Before you do anything inside, unplug the power supply.

IMPORTANT! Touch any metal part of the computer case to connect to the PC. A single static spark can destroy computer circuits.

If the video card is the type of card that plugs into a slot on the motherboard, remove the screws or attached at the top of the card, remove the card, to manipulate the card by the edges to avoid disturbing the circuits on the card, carefully and re - install the card. Sometimes simply reinstalling the card corrects the problem.

If this does not work, replace the video card with a card of similar type. Perhaps now is the right time for an update of video card.

If the video card is integrated into the motherboard, you can install a new card in one of the PCI slots on the motherboard. When the PC starts for the first time, go into the bios and disable the onboard video.

  • 12 Firefox guard start full screen mode.

Since upgrading to Firefox 12, he wants to start full screen mode. I don't want to say extreme full screen mode where even the menu bar is hidden. I mean the most "typical" full screen mode where it just gets as large as possible, but has the same content. I tried to force a new profile (in renaming ~/.mozilla/firefox) and that fixed it. But then, as soon as I got the personal bar is released, it was again full-screen mode. I wish that there was something in the preferences for this. I NEVER want it to start full screen mode. • Laptop stuck on "Starting Windows" screen

So, this afternoon, I tried to start my laptop HPG42-373, and it got stuck on "Starting Windows" screen. I ran tests of memory at startup and primary HD, in which startup failed, and primary HD came out with this: "hard disk 1 (303) Quick '. What can I do to solve this problem, if anything, or just to save what I can from my old files?

    Hello

303 error code is a disk failure short self-test and would indicate that hard is defective and must be replaced.  This is also consistent with the question of commissioning.

If your laptop is still under warranty, contact HP and arrange for the disk replaced - you can check the status of your warranty here.

If you live in the United States, contact HP here.

If you are in another part of the world, begin here.

If you are out of warranty and would like a guide to replacing the hard drive yourself, let me know.

    ************************************

Concerning access to the data on this HARD drive, here are some options you can try.

    1. one possible way to try to recover your files from a disk non-boot is to follow the process described in the link below.  The CD of the Ubuntu operating system you create can launched from the CD alone (IE it doesn't have to be installed on the hard drive) and I've often found to successfully extract data even a hard failure.  When you created the CD, follow the instructions and see if you can save your existing files.

    http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/use-Ubuntu-Live-CD-to-backup-files-from-your-dead-Windo...

2 another option would be to remove the drive HARD, place it in an external enclosure - is an example of the link below - connect to another PC and see if you can access your files.

  • Stuck on "starting windows" screen during installation of Windows 7

    Hello

I used windows 10 in dell inspiron13 7000 series. Now, I want to use windows 7 as for my personal use. When I try to boot my laptop with USB stick bootable, because I don't have cd player in my laptop. The problem is when I run the startup it stuck at 'starting windows' screen I can't go any further, so I need force shutdown my laptop. I am unable to install windows 7 on my laptop. What can I do, please help me.

    Thank you.

    Hi Praveen,

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft community.

We need more information about the issue so that we can help you better.

    1. is Windows 10 still installed on your computer or you have wiped the hard drive?
    2. don't you upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10?

Thank you for details on the issue.

If Windows 10 is installed, you can downgrade to Windows 7 within 30 days of the upgrade. If it crosses the 30 day limit, the option in the settings that allows you to return to your previous version of Windows will not be available.

    Please see this link:
Return to Windows 7 or Windows 8.1
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-10/going-back-to-Windows-7-or-Windows-81

However, if you want to install Windows 7 from an external installation media, you can re-create the rack installation of Windows 7 from this link:
    https://www.Microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/Windows7

It is possible that the installation media does not develop properly. Please also make sure that you disconnect all the devices connected to the computer before installing Windows 7.

Note: You may lose programs installed after upgrading Windows 10. I strongly recommend to back up your personal files and data on an external hard drive.

    I hope this information helps.

    Hi davefromsb,

Windows 8 computers have a bios "UEFI" and so will come with "Secure Boot" as well as "UEFI" only start enabled. Disable secure boot if you do not have and choose start to the "legacy" methods The problem is most likely that the image of Windows 7 which has been engraved on the USB key was burned using an instead of a TPG one MBR partition scheme. I hope this helps.

  • After the last updates of windows have problems with start up and now drivers

    Hello

After the last updates of windows have problems with start up and now drivers. I get an error code 21 when I try to install the drivers AMD apparently missing.

May 14, last night I had several (automatically) downloaded windows update

Today, I was unable to boot my computer with Windows - tried the disk check, start checks etc, and eventually had to use System Restore (for help before the critical update to restore).

Perfection, everything works, but knowing that windows will attempt to redo an automatic update, tried to check online - no one seemed to have a problem and (naivly) thinking I could always do another restore of the system, I rebooted again.

Same thing worse. Could not do a sys restore either just before restarting or last night. Chose a date earlier (last week) but then lost the USB drivers and pilots display. Downloaded updated but refuses to let my AMD driver install Windows I have a very unpleasant screen... and I must now stop the installation of this update "critical."

Would appreciate advice how do my installed display driver or whether anyone else has problems following this update

The amdxhc.sys is dated January 3, 2012 and the usbfilter.sys is dated November 16, 2011.

Two of these drivers should be updated to the latest version to ensure compatibility with the motherboard and between them.

HP has an available Update for AMD USB 3.0 driver but I do not see an AMD USB filter driver available for your computer updated.

I might suggest to try to get the package of motherboard chipset from AMD for versions newer and compatible to the two pilots.
